In this solo episode I talk about how parents know their kids better than any teacher who is just meeting the child for the first time. Also, some of these teachers don't like children and they don't like their job, so don't be so quick to believe everything that they say. I've covered this topic because school is about to begin and we don't know how the dice are going roll for the upcoming year. Good luck to all of the kids for a great school year.

In this solo episode I talk about what motivates people to act the way that they do. If someone tells a person that they are the sweetest person that they have ever met then that person may go out of their way to make other people think that they are actually the nicest person ever. However, if someone says that you are stupid and mean and not dependable then you may go around being a butt hole to everyone else because you believe what someone tells you about yourself.

In this solo episode, I talk about how I had to ignore my pride and do things that would benefit my son but could also make me look like a bad mother. There may be times in your parenting journey when you want to do things your way to impress other people but you are ultimately hurting your child and depriving them from the life that they deserve because you want to look good. In this solo episode I talk about feeling regret when you've done too much people because you think that you can help everyone. We do not have to be super women all of the time. It's ok to tell someone no. It's ok to let them find what they need from somewhere else. Because in the end, you have to deal with your decision whether it makes you uneasy, regretful or upset. In this solo conversation, I discuss what it is like trying to leave a situation that is not good for you and people are trying to keep you in the situation for some reason. I believe that it is just instinct to tell people not to move on because it feels like you are helping the situation when in actuality you are prolonging the toxicity of it all. In this interview I speak with Yvette Troublefield who is currently a Mortgage Specialist with State Employees' Credit Union at the Grandover Village branch in Greensboro, NC. She has been employed by SECU for 9 years. She is also the Political Action chairperson of the Montgomery County Branch NAACP. Her goal is to bring financial literacy to all persons and age groups to promote God's calling for all of his children to live in the land of abundance. She graduated from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has come to the podcast to answer the questions that I had about mortgages and financial literacy.

Hey yall. So after wanting to go to Essence Festival for so long, I finally went. Since the trip was for the experience and for my 40th birthday, I flew first class and stayed in a very nice hotel. In this solo episode I talk about why I think kids should be able to explore having a boyfriend or girlfriend. I mean isn’t that how people figure out relationships? By actually having those relationships. I feel like girls have it the hardest because people want to protect the girls from whatever bad things that they think is going to happen. Whole time somebody else is raising their son to be the perfect gentleman for a girl that can’t even have a boyfriend yet. And to be honest with you, having a boyfriend isn’t something that you want your daughter to navigate through on her own when she is older and almost an adult. There are so many important points that have to be made and so many conversations that have to be had and so many moments that parents should be around to witness, correct and explain.

Boys need to be able to have a girlfriend if that is what they want. Of course most of them may still be wrapped up in electronics and that is fine, considering a lot of girls are gamers too. However, that is a common interest that they both might have and their boyfriend/girlfriend relationship may solely be based on getting together whether in person or their favorite online game and just spending time enjoying gaming. Either way that is a form of compatibility.

If kids are allowed to figure out friendships, adult relationships with teachers, mentors, older family members, their friend’s parents, employers and with animals or insects, then they should be able to learn the ins and outs of having a boyfriend or girlfriend.
