Hey mi gente, we are back with a new episode where we sit down with our beloved Tia Mari to talk about her experiences as a homeowner and the process she went through to buy a house, and how that may have changed in today's market. 

In this episode, we talk about an important and sometimes complicated topic, trauma. Whether it is internal or external, traumatic expression and events have been ever so prominent in our society with recent events especially the pandemic. We spoke alongside Giovanni and Marlene, Melanie's older brother and sister-in-law about the topic and made it a group discussion. We talk about our own traumas, the effects of social media, and comparisons to others. 

Hey mi gente we're back with a brand new episode! We speak with Nestor the founder of Helping Hands. This organization is based out of Lynwood, CA. and it is focused on bettering its communities and providing resources such as donations, beautification projects, and coffee. Nestor has so many things in store this coming year to create an environment where people are introduced to awesome coffee but mainly finding ways to better the lives of those living in low-income areas. 

Hey mi gente in this episode we speak with Alvaro about his pop ups in Salud Cafe in Long Beach as well as his massive connection to the community. We also got the chance to speak with Denise; the owner and founder of Confidential Coffee in Long Beach as well. This episode reflects on the importance of friends and family within our daily lives and how it influenced the business's that Alvaro and Denise started.

Hey, mi gente! We have an awesome new episode with Bryer he is the Co-owner of the Wolf's Brew Coffee Shop in Long Beach, Ca. He tells about the start-up of the shop as well as how he and his Dad found the means to make their dream a reality. Bryer along with his brother run the shop on a day-to-day basis. We discuss the mentality he's built throughout his life and the decisions he's made that have brought him to become the person he is today.

Hey Mi gente, this weeks episode we gather around and talk about how we connect to the stories on the big and little screen. We go from anime to the new Selena series on Netflix about the late superstar and her rise in fame in the Tejano music scene later reaching superstardom in the American market before her tragic murder in 1995. Our connection to stories has remained crucial towards how we consume entertainment and we go over what makes a show or movie connect to us on a deeper level. 

In this week's episode we speak with Ernesto from La Dalia Coffee, a coffee company that has completely cut out the middle man within the coffee supply chain. we talk about his process from his family-owned farm in Nicaragua run by his dad. Also how they import their coffee themselves into the states, then he roasts the beans in his personal roaster. not to mention, warehousing and storage is run in-house by Ernesto. He has taken back control of the coffee game and is innovating how coffee is being distributed at the specialty level. Tune in to learn about his amazing story revolving his parents and their fight for their farm in Nicaragua. 

Hey, mi gente! In this week's episode, we speak with "Mr. Ends of the Earth" AKA Philip. He's an amazing photographer who has been in multiple ends of the earth expanding his view that his 35mm can grab. We talk about how he was able to couch-surf his way into different parts of the world while taking a glimpse of the community of couch-surfing and the expansive world it has become. Hey mi gente, in this week's episode we reflect on the differences between the Vice Presidential Debate and the First Presidential Debate. We go over the impact it made in the community leading up to the election and our thoughts on how the election process is being handled. 

Hey, mi gente! in this week's episode we speak with Carolina about her keto pastry service @treatyourselfketo which provides a healthy alternative without losing the amazing taste that comes with pastry goodness. She talks on her own path with keto and how it has changed her life and it continues to do so. Tune in to learn more about how she was able to fuse pastries with a ketogenic lifestyle.

Hey mi gente, in this week's episode, we spoke with Kenny Becerra from Cafe Orgullo Celeste. We spoke about his journey getting into the coffee industry, learning how to roast, to eventually importing coffee from Guatemala.  His story revolves around doing the things that scare you and getting out of your bubble to grow as a person.

Hey mi gente, in this episode we speak with an amazing local community organizer Anthony Bryson. He recently led the Unity March in Long Beach this past weekend. We go over his experience going through the process of organizing the march to leading the event as well as issues surrounding the different areas in Long Beach and surrounding communities.

Hey mi gente, in this week's episode we speak with Alejandra, she a local Norwalk resident that set up the recent Vanessa Guillen rally that Karla went to. We go over the rally and what occurred. Also, she explains to us what events in her past lead to her setting up the rally and the mindset she put herself in to prepare her for the event.

In this week's episode we speak with one of the innovative voices in our local community Harmony Sage the founder of The Long Beach Bread Lab and Co-founder of The Long Beach Beer Lab alongside her husband. She started a Pay-it-forward fund for medical workers in Memorial Hospital in Long Beach where people can contribute to paying for coffee and pastries for medical workers at their kiosk. We go over her start in brewing and baking, also we go over what she and her team are doing to help out her community during these troubling times. ,

Hey, mi gente, in this episode we speak with our great friend Marco Barajas from the band Paloma Negra, founder of Negra Luz Record label, and he is starting a non-profit organization to help kids in Long Beach learn about music. He was previously on episode 7 alongside his brother Eddie. We talked about their band and how they rose against negativity. So in this episode, we caught up with him about all the amazing stuff he has done and his approach to moving forward living in quarantine by going "back to basics". He explains how he wants to focus on what made him passionate about his craft to keep focused and motivated to be better mentally and physically.
