Teens need to cut back on screen time

By: Lawson Reynolds

Did you know that time is the the one thing you can't get back, so use it wisely. According to my calculations The average teen is on screen more than 7 hours a day. That means that the only time parents see them is at night before they go to sleep and at dinner And that is like in total 1 or two hours that's not a lot. Parents must feel sad not seeing them.

Many people feel that Screen time Can cause Anxiety, Low self esteem and depression. Also people think that screen time can be entertainment and be fun. However that Screen time can affect teens by getting more body fat, not being active and can cause laziness. Screen time can also cause depression because on social media they can be felt left out and feel sad. Many people also feel that Screen time Causes loneliness And no direct communication to family. On the other hand It can Cause friendships and make it possible to talk to your friends online. But actually Screen time can affect family members because they spend more time on screen time than family members and That is not a good thing. Also it can affect real life communication. And can affect your adult life too.

Although people believe that Screen time can be toxic to your brain and It needs to be limited. Still it can be helpful to over 120,000 teens according to scientists. But It can Be harmful to your brain By Being hard to function and comperhind stuff at school which can cause problems. It also causes Your brain to stop growing and makes you have mood swings.
