Ep 9: Crime of Passion
Welcome back to 'Ripe Young Old Age,' the podcast that explores the complexities and stories of life's twists and turns. I'm your host, Lenny Letcher, and we're diving into the second-to-last episode of our series. In today's episode, titled 'Crime of Passion,' my sister makes an astonishing admission.
We pick back up with her living in New Mexico.
So without further ado and after these words from our sponsors. A crime of passion.
Ep 8: I Lived in a Tree
Ep 7: The Longest Three Months
This show's entire content comes from the three long interviews that I did with my sister.
Episodes 1-6, and this episode #7, all come from our first two interviews that we did two years ago. I waited to post this because I didn't know if the third conversation would ever happen. My equipment was stolen on New Year's Day of 2021, and connecting with my sister for four or five hours of recording time was more than challenging to coordinate. Well, the conversation finally happened, and now I am ready to tell the rest of the story.
As always, there are a ton of sensitive topics that we cover, and this content isn't for everyone. But I still believe it is a story worth telling.
So, without further ado, and after a word from our sponsor, here's Episode 7: "The Longest Three Months."
Ep 6: Hope
This episode was an emotional experience for my sister and I to record. It is hard as a creator to think that a certain episode is better than another because you know how much love and effort you put into each one. How much goes into each story along the way.
So maybe this episode isn’t better, but I think it is the most impactful to this point. It is hard to describe how much of an impact a 17 month old was able to make on our family as Hope did.
Ep 5: Into and Out of Surprise
This episode is a journey. My sister goes from our family home, to the small city of surprise, from the small city of Surprise to my in-laws home, and then to New Mexico.
As we talk through that journey we go back in time to talk about a very serious experience in her life.

Ep 4: Parties Gone Wrong
This episode is a little different. I do most of the talking. I talk about two stories in great detail. Maybe too much detail, in the flow of the conversation at my sisters house it felt appropriate to talk about.
I did some dumb things as a kid and this episode highlights a couple of those instances. After this ad for our sponsor, we hear about Parties Gone Wrong.
Ep 3: Full Circle
In this episode we hear about a part of Lovette's life that I didn't know much about. I don't know how to really describe it in writing, so you will just have to listen.
