Ep. 5 The Story of Our Tiny House Part 2: Building, Delivery, Furnishing, Parking, Downsizing, and finally Moving IN
This episode is part 2 in the story leading up to our transition into the tiny house movement. We signed the contract to start the build in January 2016 with our Builder: Titan Tiny Homes of Chicago. From then until it was delivered on April 19th we had a lot to prepare for...including figuring out where we were going to park it long term. Once we had our spot and the house rolled in then the REAL work began- we spent several weeks finishing the interior and getting ready to move from our 1,400 sq foot condo to our 192 sq foot Tiny House on Wheels :)
We are just a normal couple living a rather unusual lifestyle in a Tiny House on Wheels (192 square feet) trying to fit more adventure, travel and exploration into our lives! We love to go camping, hiking, backpacking, kayaking…and traveling with our 16 foot Scamp Trailer. We have an awesome Adventure dog named Redford that is up for anything. It started back in 2010 when I first saw a Tiny House picture on Pintrest and watched some YouTube videos & I knew that a tiny house was for me! Then started the process of planning, saving and overcoming some major setbacks to finally make it happen. This is Part 1 of that story

Ep. 2: Renting Our Fiberglass Scamp RV out on RVShare: What We Learned: Pros and Cons
In the Summer of 2020 we could not travel due to restrictions with work...but our cute little 16' Fiberglass Scamp camper was ready to go, we had just finished an interior update and cleaned/waxed the exterior and she looked great- so we decided to put it up for RENT on RVShare.com. We did a total of 4 rentals over about 5 months and we learned a lot in the process. Here are some tips and advice If you are thinking about renting out your camper or if you want to TRY camping & considered Renting one- this episode is full of helpful information for you!

Let New Adventures Begin: Our Transition to Tiny House Living & the Freedom that we gained.
In this introductory episode of Let New Adventures Begin I give you an overview of our Lifestyle transition that happened in 2016- Moving from a 1,400 sq foot condo into a 192 sq foot tiny house on wheels. Through this transition we were looking to change our financial situation, improve our use of sustainable resources and create more time to travel & enjoy outdoor activity. This transition has been very successful in helping us to reach our goals, but it has not been without (major) challenges and obstacles that we have faced along the way. This podcast will be used to share our experiences, what we have learned and hopefully inspire you to make a lifestyle transition of your own!
