Life With Klee Kai Episode 3 - Greywolf.Blackfox
In our third episode, we spoke to Taly and Doug, who are the owners of Barak and SoomSoom, aka Greywolf.Blackfox on Instagram. Barak is an Alaskan Klee Kai and SoomSoom is a Shiba Inu. I love Shina Inu so I was really interested to hear how Barak and SoomSoom get along together. Given Shiba Inu have a reputation for being more of a challenging breed, it was interesting to hear about their experience owning a Klee Kai and Shiba Inu. They recently made the move to LA from New York City, so Taly and Doug had some insights into the different dog-friendly approaches in both cities. If you're thinking about an Alaskan Klee Kai, this episode has some good advice for you. Alaskan Klee Kai can be great dogs but they don't come without their own unique tests, so you need to do as much research as you can and if possible, as Taly and Doug suggest, meet and spend some time with a Klee Kai to see firsthand what it's like to own one. Life With Klee Kai Episode 2 - Kaylee Robertson / Ghost aka Hobbit Paws
In our second episode, we spoke to Kaylee Robertson, who is the talented photographer behind Hobbit Paws (on Instagram) / Fenton Goes Forth (on Facebook). She's got an Alaskan Klee Kai called Ghost and seven Shetland Sheepdogs. She lives with her eight dogs and husband on the Shetland Islands situated in the Northern Atlantic, between Great Britain, the Faroe Islands and Norway. Her photos are quite simply incredible as her eight dogs pose in a variety of costumes or outfits with each photoshoot having a dedicated theme. Ghost has quite the dedicated following on her accounts, with followers looking to get their Alaskan Klee Kai fix. Kaylee works as an EMT and her photos have brought comfort and joy to quite a few of her patients in the back of an ambulance in the Shetland Islands. They've also appeared on BBC News and feature in a BBC TV series called Island Medics. We spoke to Kaylee about her obsession with dogs, Shetland Sheepdogs, Alaskan Klee Kai, Lords of the Rings, Cillian Murphy and much more. In our first episode of Life With Klee Kai, we speak to Franziska Herrmann about her beautiful Alaskan Klee Kai, Baylee. Franziska and Baylee have one of the biggest Alaskan Klee Kai accounts on Instagram with nearly 20,000 followers. Franziska has been posting gorgeous photos of Baylee for over three years - and her account is one of the ways I discovered and learned more about the breed. So, she seemed like the natural choice to be my first guest on the Life With Klee Kai podcast. We touch upon how Franziska found out about Klee Kai, how she got Baylee, what Baylee's personality is like, some of the challenges of owning a Klee Kai as well as all the best bits of the AKK breed.
