Jesus gives a parable about two men, a Pharisee and a tax collector, going to the temple to pray. What traits define us as good person or bad person in society? How does Jesus turn our notions of good and bad upside down? On whose righteousness are we considered as good before God?

Jesus was going through a region between Galilee and Samaria where he met the ten lepers. They were all healed but only one of them returned to thank Jesus. (Luke 17:11-19) Who was this person? Why is it important for us? How do you give thanks to God today? 

Jesus speaks of a great chasm between the rich man and Lazarus. (Luke 16:19-31)

What is a chasm that blocks you from reaching out to your neighbors today?

What did Jesus do to cross a chasm between God and us?
