Brooke Lawrence: Working Through Miscarriage

Brooke Lawrence: Working Through Miscarriage

According to March of Dimes, "Miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy in the womb before 20 weeks of pregnancy. Some women have a miscarriage before they know they’re pregnant. We don’t know all the causes of miscarriage, but chromosome problems are often to blame. It can take weeks to months or more for a body to recover from a miscarriage. It may take longer to recover emotionally." (marchofdimes.org)

In this episode, I sit down with Brooke Lawrence, who shares her story of working through miscarriage. She and her husband live in Bakersfield, California, with their 18month old son. Brooke is vulnerable, honest, and bold as she shares how she navigated through not one but two miscarriages. This is such a sensitive topic, and I am grateful to Brooke for trusting me.

If you've experienced miscarriage, please know your story is real, and your emotions are valid, and your baby is loved.

The Return of Justin Layne

The Return of Justin Layne

If you know how nerdy my husband is, you would know why I titled this episode "The Return of Justin Layne." We talk about so many things in this episode---mostly a recap of 2020 but also about how we both processed the craziness in different ways. Justin and I open up about our goals and how we want to grow in 2021. We also talk about health, body image, and the importance of identifying insecurities. We also get a tad mushy toward the end... sorry in advance... what can I say? I love the guy!

P.S.

Liz Layne-Brain Dump

Liz Layne-Brain Dump

2020 has been crazy, and I haven't always handled it in the best ways.

In this episode of Tell Me Everything, I share my thoughts on all the stuff. While it might be quite the ramble, I do talk about control, love, and boundaries. It's not the most scripted or organized podcast you'll ever hear, but it's honest. I wanted to be honest. In a world full of chaos and uncertainty I wanted you to see that it's ok to feel a little scrambled. We just have to keep moving forward and learning, together.
