Is Your Food Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the FDA?
We explore what it means for the FDA to recognize food as "Generally Recognized As Safe." We explore the history of the law that brought us GRAS status in 1958 and what the current regulations offer. (Hint: they give the food companies leeway).
