Carl Lentz Fired!?!?!

Welcome back to the Lub Dub Podcast!

We took a week of while some...counting...was done but now we're back!  On this episode we're talking about yet another pastor that could not keep it in his pants, Carl Lentz.

Pastor Carl Lentz, well, former pastor Carl Lentz has recently been released from his position from the Hillsong Church due to his extramarital affair.  

What makes this situation a bit different from John Gray for instance, is that this affair was not only more than just emotional, it occurred during quarantine and lasted for 5 months.  The mistress also admits that she felt the two were in love.  Clearly this is much more than a quick romp in the sheets.

As always we want love and marriages to thrive, but it seems as though the pandemic has placed an enormous strain on relationships.  It seems as though Pastor Carl Lentz and his marriage faired no better.

Today we are talking about Christian Purity!  For you heathens out there (us included lol) its the practice of saving yourself for marriage.  This topic is surely to ruffle some feathers but we try to bring our viewers real content!

First and foremost let us say this, we are not against anyone's personal or religious decisions.  But we ARE against people using religion without proper context to force abstinence on others.  Sex before marriage may can be a great option for some.  But if you do fall short, that should not remove your purity and leave you labeled a sinner.

This is the way church folk sometimes behave.  We both grew up in church and are devout Christians however we are also well aware that we have all fallen short of the glory of God.  Shame should not be a tool used by any moral leader especially when considering the private nature of this topic.

In our humble opinion, its far more important to chose the right mate than it is for you to force abstinence while waiting with the wrong mate.  We discuss a bit more...

On a recent episode of their Deadass Podcast, Devale asked Khadeen "If sex is going to be a chore...why do women push monogamy on men? 😳😳 

The ensuing discussion was definitely very interesting with both providing valid points on how they view monogamy, expectations, and sex can adjust how a couple's marriage develops.

Monogamy is seemingly an essential part of marriage, but does Devale's point make sense?  There's bound to be a ton of opinions on this topic so stay tuned for our take!

The Cardi B Divorce will not be happening.  Was it just done to teach Offset a lesson???

Welcome back to the Lub Dub Podcast!  Today we are discussing the fake out Cardi B Divorce.  Well, maybe fake out isn't the best description, but definitely a 180 from Cardi B's previous decision.  But thats a good thing right? Black love, finding a way push on!  

The Cardi B divorce was similar to many things that Cardi does, loud, public,  but always authentic.  According to Cardi B's Instagram Live and various social media posts, she admits that at one point she was just tired of the arguing with Offset.  It's also been suggested that Offset continues to cheat on Cardi and if true, that must take its toll.

All in all Cardi was able to decide against divorce but as onlookers we can't help but wonder if there are anything ramifications due to her public turmoil and massive platform.

We always, always, always want black love to succeed.  Apart of the success seems to include avoiding the messiness that seems to engulf too many relationships in our community.

Now while everyone has the right to their opinion, especially when it comes to marriage, Jeannie Mai seemingly opened up a can of worms among her own cohosts.  Many women feel as though submission in marriage is an antiquated concept and has no place in 2020.

Welcome back to the Lub Dub Podcast.  On today's video we're bringing you something a bit different...a Tory Lanez reaction video.

As we're sure most of you are aware, Tory Lanez had a very public altercation with Megan Thee Stallion that allegedly ended with Tory shooting Megan in the foot.

Now all details have not been released to the legal ramifications at stake but from what we know, the two were dating and this argument appears to have stemmed from an earlier situation while the two were attending a Kylie Jenner house party.

Now while we normally would not make a Tory Lanez reaction video, we heard talk that this album, in particular this song "Most High", provides some insight on Tory's insistence that he is innocent.  

However after hearing "Most High" and the rest of the Daystar album, Tory Lanez does not really seem to provide any actual explanations for what has happened.  There seems to be a ton of half truths and deflections while he celebrates avoiding serious charges.

As always, we hope and cheer for black love.  Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez could have been one of the young power couples in hip hop.  Unfortunately, this relationship ended with another black woman hurt both physically and emotionally, and another black man taking no accountability for his own toxic and in this case dangerous actions.

Welcome back to the Lub Dub Podcast.  Today we an interesting topic.

Dr Dre, legendary producer and rapper is unfortunately getting divorced from his longtime partner Nicole Young.  

Since the release of this new there has been plenty of new information that doesn't exactly paint Dr Dre in the best light.  The issue that has seemingly gained the most traction concerns his existing prenup and the reported spousal support Nicole has requested. 

Firstly, it seems that Nicole Young was under the impression that Dr Dre actually ripped up the initial prenup agreement she initially signed before marriage.  Reports from her side accuse Dr Dre of forcing her to sign.  However it was also reported that he apparently tore up the agreement in front of her and claimed he admitted it was wrong to have signed it in the first place.

Further complicating matters, Nicole appears to have requested $2,000,000 a month in spousal support!!  Maybe this is an attempt to force Dr Dre to provide a fair settlement or potentially a move made out of frustration, it certainly seems that this divorce is headed for a messy conclusion.  We always want to root for love but in the event that it does end, the least one can hop for is an amicable separation.
