Flight to 9/11
Terrorism has led to mass destruction. Two planes crash into the twin towers. Mass chaos. News broadcasts all over. The sky is filled with an eerie gray smoke. 9/11 was a horrifying event that people will never forget.
The trauma and destruction of the event changed not just the country but the world itself forever. On September 11 2001 4 planes flew over America in an attempt for mass destruction. 3,000 people died that day which went down as the one and only terrorist attack that happened in America. This event also changed the way America looks at security.

Consequences of Chernobyl
A radioactive explosion in 1986 changed the world forever. Contaminated livestock, radioactive towns, and people losing their lives was the result of the infamous Chernobyl Disaster. Learn more about the components to this true catastrophe in our podcast.
In 1986, the Chernobyl disaster in Pripyat,Ukraine caused a nationwide evacuation of civilians. After the nuclear reactor was overheated, it blasted waves of radiation almost 7,000 miles across countries. People had to leave their houses in hope to return when it was safe, but that never happened. To this day, the town of Pripyat is still abandoned.

The Clinton Years
Welcome to the Clinton years where we give you a closer look into the Economy, Marriage Laws, and the Monica Lewinsky Scandal during the 90’s to the early 2000’s.

The economy was at its best during the Clinton years, with the unemployment rate being at the lowest it had ever been at and the inflation at the lowest point too. Other topics that are discussed are the marriage laws that were argued about in 1996, which were then settled to have it be the state's choice in their marriage laws. Last topic in the Monica Lewinsky Scandal which gives the view of our interviewee had on the scandal and the impeachment that was attempted. Overall we hope you learn something and enjoy.

Communicating with a Veteran
Through this podcast we introduce the many not so fun facts about the Vietnam war and how it affected the lives of people both on the home front and in the war itself. One of our podcast members interviewed their grandfather who was a Vietnam war veteran to see his perspective on the war itself and many of the different aspects of war that he went through. This podcast introduces topics that are beneficial to talk about today since our society's understanding of war is limited and starting to diminish as time goes by.

From the Sidelines of the Vietnam War
This episode hosted by Cheyenne, Joe, and Grace gives an overview of what the Vietnam War home front was like with the special insight of Dianne, Joe's aunt. Her main points that she touches on is that she wasn’t majorly affected by the Vietnam War but she did know of people who were drafted in the war that made it clear for her to see that soldiers got treated very poorly and got little to no appreciation for fighting in the war when they didn't even want to fight in the first place, overall the Vietnam War didn’t do much but put the country into worse conditions. Now enjoy the podcast and I hope by the end of it, you get more of a feel of what the home front was really like during the Vietnam War!

Observations of the Vietnam War Trailer
Welcome to the podcast Observations of the Vietnam War, a student produced podcast from Mrs. Ganiere's English Class at Pewaukee High School.
In spring of 2021 students were posed with the task of finding a story from the Vietnam War era that is important to tell. Many students chose to interview relatives or community members in order to gain insight into this unique time in history.
The following podcasts represent the research and stories students gathered.
