Making Old Friends

In the first episode back from their hiatus, the gang talks about their plans for 2022. Do any of them make New Year's resolutions? Are resolutions worth making? How often do they pan out? It has been exactly one year to the day (as of the release of this episode) since the crew reconnected and the idea of Making Old Friends was born. The gang looks back on the night they reconnected, how that conversation went, and how they remember coming up with the idea of starting a podcast. Who reached out to who first? Part one of our two part conversation with our old friend Joe Buonviaggio. The gang sits down with Joe to catch up on his life, and answer some questions he has about their journeys. Who is Joe and how did he get to know each of the Making Old Friends crew? What are his burning questions from our stories? Is Carrie Underwood music a sound resource for your theology?

Growing up as a kid in a "Christian Home" can result is some interesting rules on what you can do, watch, listen to, or even say. Many things make sense in hindsight, but there are certainly still some questions to be asked. Would Harry Potter lead you down the road to witchcraft? Is rock music from the devil? Does dancing condemn your soul?  Listen along as the crew reminisces and attempts to justify their parent's rules.

With Zach away on vacation, the remaining three sit down for a casual conversation to discuss Tyler's story a bit further. What are the differences between Atheism and Anti-theism? How can people look at the same results, yet believe entirely different beginnings? What can we learn from having honest conversations? Listen along as the crew has one of their most honest conversations yet.

The group sits down to open up about their own mental health experiences and stories. What have they been through in that past? What are they currently working on? The gang sits down for one of the their liveliest discussions yet. Which is the better personality test? Is the Enneagram or the Meyers-Briggs test a more effective tool for your life? Are these tests accurate? Does any of this even matter? Listen along as they aim to achieve a logical debate while advocating for both sides.

The crew returns to kick off season two! With new and exciting things in the works, they sit down to look back on the first ten episodes of Making Old Friends.
