Unsilence Grief
By Marie Alessi
Under the new title "Unsilence Grief" I want to expand my mission to healing people beyond what we have offered so far.
Grief is an emotional response to a Life Unexpected. It no longer looks like what we had imagined.
I know about the darkness of grief, and I know how to brighten it.
We need to talk about it more openly... Let's Unsilence Grief!

#UpspiralGrief with Rachel Tenpenny
After her baby daughters died when they were just a few weeks old, Rachel began a journey to healing after loss she was told was impossible.
Together with her sister Crystal they have taken what they learned, and created an emotional wellness company called 'Teamotions' dedicated to helping people get the guidance, support, tools, and resources they need to heal their hearts after loss too.
Rachel and Crystal are best known for their powerful healing teas. Their line of emotional well-being teas are blended with adaptogens, healing herbs, and superfoods that help to restore the body from under to toll of grief to strengthen grievers for the healing journey ahead.
Their comforting teas have won awards and are the foundation that healing after loss is built on. For over a decade now Rachel has taught grievers how to use their teas, as well as a program she created to help them get through their pain to the healing on the other side.
Rachel is honoured to share their teas with you, as well as the message that healing is possible; grief doesn't have to be forever if you don't want it to be.

My godfather has always been an incredible influence in my life.

My response was "It's been a bit exhausting the last 2 months", to which he responded "Exhausting is only the Story we tell ourselves!"

#UpspiralGrief with Jessi Lestelle
I am so excited to have this legend of a lady back for an interview. When I asked Jessi to send me an updated bio, I got this beautiful message:
"After taking 1.5 years off from work, I was able to start trying to live the life that I wanted for myself. I started back my career in the music & entertainment business, and made a very hard decision to put my podcast, "Good Grief, Jessi" on pause.
I wanted to focus on starting to practice what I preached. This will be my first time coming back into the grief community since I started my new position and I cannot wait to share with you all what I've learned!"

Embracing Emotions
I hear people talk about "controlling emotions" way too often. In particular when it comes to children.
"Learning how to control our emotions" feels quite counter intuitive to me, after all the experiences I've had over my life time so far.
In today's #MeaningfulMindset I want to talk about "embracing emotions" - and how much more beautiful life is, when we learn how to do that!

Being alone vs Loneliness

Carrie Muchaw: #UpspiralGrief Interview
Carrie grew up in a middle class home as an only child. This created a relationship with her mother as a mother, sister, and friend. In 2009 her Mom ascended.
Carrie was in shock! She suddenly came to realise that the relationship she had believed to be healthy, had left her paralysed in fear. She did not know what to do or where to go. It took several years, and eventually on a Women’s retreat she discovered that she had identified all her mothers feelings as her own.
Carrie has come to understand that she could use the love her mother taught her to love herself!! This allowed her to experience love with her family even BIGGER than before.

Giving…
Have you ever experienced an uneasy feeling when being on the receiving end of a "giver"? I am talking about a person who just loves to give, but can't really allow him/herself to receive?
In today's #MeaningfulMindset I want to unpack the imbalance that is created when only sitting on one end of the scale - and why it is so important to do and allow both, the giving and receiving.
This was truly life-changing for me!

Slap in the Face
You know when people tell you "Just be grateful for what you have!" - I am a big believer that GRATITUDE is the base of everything...
But... it took me a good two years to be able to practice gratitude, mindfully, after Rob passed.
Gratitude can feel like a slap in the face, when people suggest it in the space of grief. Be mindful when and who you suggest it to.
Join today's #MeaningfulMindset - you can watch it live in "Loving Life after Loss" or later on YouTube.

Melanie Greenhalgh is the real deal. She is an empath and has lived with that as both a curse and a blessing. Mel has lived experience of Love, loss, grief and has learnt how to get back up with every knock down life has thrown at her.

What that moment created was a renewed determination to reclaim her life and deliver on her true purpose in life.
Melanie Greenhalgh is a community leader who has worked with people experiencing disadvantage, vulnerability and trauma for over two decades.
Most recently she has combined her professional and personal experiences to serve and support women as they discover themselves, their strengths and that in every aspect of their life: they are good enough.

Flying Solo
When I travelled the first time with our two boyzz (unfortunately that wasn’t for a holiday, we flew across Australia to identify my husband’s body), I told the flight attendants before we took off.
I needed somebody to know (in case I lost it) and I also used to work as a flightie in my younger days, so I knew it would be helpful for them and us if they understood the situation.
Today's #MeaningfulMindset is all about "Flying solo" and what it means to ask for support.

Guilt & Shame in Grief
Join us in our next episode of "Ask the Expert"! This time Adrian Hanks and I will be addressing the very common emotions of guilt & shame in grief.
Many people I speak to feel guilty about healing or feeling something we refer to as "survivor's guilt" - and then there's a shame about things we feel or think... this topic goes deep and spreads over a wide range of situations and emotions.
I can't wait to ask the expert. I love these conversations, keeping it real...
Feel free to watch us live, where you can comment or ask questions - we also welcome them when you watch the replay!

Don't ever say "He's in a better place!"
This one sentence "He's in a better place!" holds so much.
Let me be super blunt and very direct here: do not ever tell anyone... it makes my blood boil when I hear it. It is hurtful beyond measure and can be quite damaging.
In our final #MeaningfulMindset of 2022 I will explain WHY - and what to say instead!
Come and join us - and most importantly, feel free to invite people into our movement - and share the Love.
