Unsilence Grief

By Marie Alessi

This podcast formally known under "Loving Life after Loss®" is a mix of interviews and talks, all collected to #upspiral the world of grief.
Under the new title "Unsilence Grief" I want to expand my mission to healing people beyond what we have offered so far.
Grief is an emotional response to a Life Unexpected. It no longer looks like what we had imagined.
I know about the darkness of grief, and I know how to brighten it.
We need to talk about it more openly... Let's Unsilence Grief!

#UpspiralGrief with Sarah Choujounian

This is one not to be missed!!

Sarah Choujounian was the first nurse to speak up at a rally against the lockdowns in Canada. She is also the co-founder of Canadian Frontline Nurses, proud advocates for medical freedom, who are now creating a new healthcare paradigm.

She is also the founder of Lighting Up Dark Corners, an organization aiming at empowering people to heal and rise above their mental health issues by going to the root cause of the problem instead of numbing them with drugs and/or prescription medications.

I am deeply moved by Sarah's story and can't wait to introduce you to her, talking about her own grief, triumphs and purpose in life!

#UpspiralGrief with Rachel Tenpenny

#UpspiralGrief with Rachel Tenpenny

After her baby daughters died when they were just a few weeks old, Rachel began a journey to healing after loss she was told was impossible.

Together with her sister Crystal they have taken what they learned, and created an emotional wellness company called 'Teamotions' dedicated to helping people get the guidance, support, tools, and resources they need to heal their hearts after loss too.

Rachel and Crystal are best known for their powerful healing teas. Their line of emotional well-being teas are blended with adaptogens, healing herbs, and superfoods that help to restore the body from under to toll of grief to strengthen grievers for the healing journey ahead.

Their comforting teas have won awards and are the foundation that healing after loss is built on. For over a decade now Rachel has taught grievers how to use their teas, as well as a program she created to help them get through their pain to the healing on the other side.

Rachel is honoured to share their teas with you, as well as the message that healing is possible; grief doesn't have to be forever if you don't want it to be.

How to deal with Family

By popular demand, we will address a tender topic in our #AskTheExpert series: How to deal with Family after a loss.

Opinions and expectations can often become quite counterproductive for a loving and supportive relationship.

I am looking forward to discussing this with another expert - welcoming back Adrian Hanks!

#UpspiralGrief Interview with Mark & Ryan

For the first time I have the pleasure of interviewing two amazing gentleman at the same time - Mark & Ryan, creators of "Remembering Dad" podcast.

Mark Cecil lost his Dad in 2021 after a battle with Dementia. He started the Remembering Dad Podcast with his friend to discuss their respective losses and speak to guests about their experiences in hope that by people sharing their stories and memories of their loved ones who have passed it may help others that have gone through or are currently going through something similar.

Ryan Thwaites lost both of his best friends at a young age. Paul died at the age of 21 due to a heart failure and Scott died ten years later at the age of 31 due to Melanoma and numerous secondary cancers. Ryan is a co-host of the Remembering Dad Podcast and shares a passion for speaking to those experiencing grief and how they are dealing with those emotions so that it may be of help to others.

Giving…

Giving…

Have you ever experienced an uneasy feeling when being on the receiving end of a "giver"? I am talking about a person who just loves to give, but can't really allow him/herself to receive?

In today's #MeaningfulMindset I want to unpack the imbalance that is created when only sitting on one end of the scale - and why it is so important to do and allow both, the giving and receiving.

This was truly life-changing for me!

"Call me if you need anything!"

"Call me if you need anything!"

"No I won't" my mind answered, every time somebody suggested this after Rob died. Because we all know we won't.

"Call me if you need anything!" is one of the most useless attempts to help. Yet not many people know that - until you are on the other side...

In this #MeaningfulMindset we will unpack why this phrase is useless, despite the best intention that comes with it - and how to offer real help instead, so people can actually receive it!
