Well here it is! Episode 1 with none others that Pastor Ray Bevan. This is a wonderful, funny, thought provoking, sobering and encouraging interview with a man who has been at the cutting edge of this thing called 'ministry' for decades. Ray has and still does speak on some of the worlds most well known platforms but in this interview he really opens up on those personal challenges he has had to deal with over the years. 

It just goes to show that all of us have the potential go through things that inwardly we think we are the only ones.

Welcome to this trailer for the upcoming series 'Honest to God.' Come and join me on this journey where I interview different christian leaders from around the country as we talk openly and honestly about the real challenges of ministry. These conversations are real, fluff free, raw and, as the title of the podcasts suggests, honest.

Over the following 10 episodes (and who knows there may be a couple more at the end) we will hear from various pastors, vicars, politicians, reverends (and whatever else you want to call them) from all sorts of backgrounds, denominations, networks and church sizes, to hear about their challenges, how they handled or are indeed handling them and what lessons they have learned in the process which we can all be encouraged by and learn from. 

This is definitely NOT a 'tell me how to ,,,,,,,' '5 steps to be a better .........' but I'm hoping that it will be a valuable resource that will get alongside you, encourage you, help you and cheer you on as you keep going. So many leaders in faith feel isolated even though they are in the public eye and oftentimes that is one of the loneliest places to be but that doesn't mean that you are alone.

I've been on this crazy train called 'ministry' since 2004 full time and in church leadership for 20 years + and the things I have seen and experienced, coupled with the countless stories of others and their experiences have led me to the place where I believe an honest conversation like this one we are about to have is necessary. 

Also, if your a leader in any field, there will be something for you here too. Principles, lessons and journeys that will also help us as parents, in our families and careers as well as our own personal development.
