In this episode, Dr. Secan shares his experience receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. While he expected side effects such as a sore arm, the ebullient mood at the early morning clinic was not anticipated. After months of caring for very sick patients and facing challenges we have come to know too well around COVID – diminishing PPE supplies, lack of family interaction, longer lengths of stay – Dr. Secan felt something he hadn’t felt in a long time: joy. And a much-needed sense of relief.
