Another year means another round of layoffs across Canadian media outlets. Does this mean the death of local journalism? 

The Nerds check in with the current slate of HBO shows: Watchmen, Silicon Valley, Catherine the Great and His Dark Materials. They answer the question, "how well is HBO doing in a post-GoT world?" Also: "is the Tim Hortons Hot Dog Sandwich worth the price of admission?"

It's a movie-centred discussion on the podcast this week: Dr. Doolittle has his license revoked, El Camino was... just okay, Bob Odenkirk stops traffic in Winnipeg, and Kenton soldiers on through his Amazon Prime binge.
