We were so excited to be able to collaborate with the Kindergarten classes this week during podcast club. This week we will have two episodes interviewing a few Kinder Sharks from both full-day classes. Up first are some of Miss Hampton's friends.

We are back for season 2 of Sharks in the Park. Today we welcomed Miss Saba to the show and some 5th graders quizzed her on some 5th-grade cocntent to see if she is in fact.... smarter than a 5th grader.
Being Recognized as a Shark
Our 5th graders only have 6 days left of being a Park Shark. The nerves are starting to set in about 6th grade but we all know they are going to do great. Before they take off they wanted to get one last podcast recording in and this time it is all about being recognized as a SHARK! They talk about all things Shark Hall of Fame, Shark Shout Outs, and just some other random things they love about our school. We sure are going to miss them.
Sea Turtles
We just wrapped up a unit about natural disasters in ELA and some of our students took a big interest in how natural disasters affect certain animals. Listen in if you love sea turtles just as much as these Park SHARKS.
Recess at Park
At Worthington Park, we have tons of options at recess and the coolest part is that as you get older the list of things to do just gets longer. Elliot and Grady are here today to break it all down for you. They even talk about the "dreadful" indoor recess.
BizTown
Going to on the field trip to BizTown is always a highlight during the 5th-grade school year. Students get the opportunity to get a glimpse at what it is like being an adult with a job, bills, and insurance. Grady, Tyler, and Landon are going to sit down and tell you a bit more about their experience and what it was like for them on this day.
Author Carmella Van Vleet
Fifth grade was able to attend their first assembly since 2nd grade today. Author Carmella Van Vleet came and talk to students at Park about her journey as an author. 5th graders also had the opportunity to sit down with Carmella one on one and ask her some questions about what it is like to be an author.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
On this week's episode of Sharks in the Park three 5th graders sit down to take a walk down memory lane. With only about three months left of Elementary school, these students want to take a look back at what each of their individual journeys has looked like during their time here at Park. Come along as students go way back to where it all started for them and then reflect on their growth, memories made, and lessons learned throughout that journey.
SHARK!!
Well, our school mascot is a shark after all so it was only fitting that the 5th grade takes some time to learn more about this interesting ocean animal. Listen carefully as you might catch a couple of sharktastic jokes.
Space in 5th Grade
One of the best parts of 5th-grade science is the space unit. These 5th graders love space and are excited to share some of their learning with you.
The One, The Only.... Mrs. Julie!
On this week's episode, Grayson Cook chats with Mrs. Julie. Mrs. Julie is one of the office staff at Worthington Park and she leaves a lasting impression on anyone she meets. She is always happy, smiling, and full of energy and that's what we love about her. Before work at Wo Park, Mrs. Julie did some pretty awesome stuff and went into more detail in this episode.
