Me My Thoughts and Eyes

What's good y'all? What's been on my mind lately (and will remain for at least the next month) is this election. I'm sure it's the same for y'all too. I'm frustrated at the debate but even more so at folks who remain apathetic about voting and are trying to spread that apathy.

Hey y'all. My mind was all over the place, as usual on this one. From negro spirituals to untimely passings... you know what? Maybe it was as all over the place as I thought.  Either take a listen and tell me what you think.

Lately I've been thinking about the podcasting game and supporting independent Black and other POC podcasts.  Other than that, my mind has been preoccupied with Insecure, spam emails and Zaxby's.

It's been a minute... OK maybe 60, but I've been thinking a lot lately.  In this current moment, leadership has been on my mind a lot.  Specifically around Black movements.  Take a listen and let me know what you think.

Yo! So on my mind this week is the return of the legendary hip-hop group Little Brother! I mostly share my excitement about the surprise album of this group that's pretty important to me.  I also give my thoughts so far on A Black Lady Sketch Show and the ongoing Chicken Wars.  This will be my last episode for a while as the semester has started back and I need to get into the zone.

What it dew babeee!!!??  On my mind this week is the excellence that is NOWzine, a publication that I had the honor of contributing to.  So I share my excitement for that as well as my praises for Jacques Nyemb who gave me the opportunity to make a dream come true.  I also share a story about a time I accidentally went to conservative white church.  Take a listen and tell me what you think.

What's up ya'll.  On my mind recently has been cancel culture again, and I even touch on the Little Mermaid and 007 a little as well.  Listed below are the podcast episodes I referenced.  Check them out as well and thank you for the listen.

I'm back!! The semester is finally done and I'm on summer break.  As I'm getting back into the swing of things, I ramble on about Game of Thrones mostly, but Meg Thee Stallion is also on my mind, along with one of the many reasons I love my people.

So I'm all over the place this episode (what's new?) as on my mind this week is being a f**k boi, Black History Month, and the O'Jays.  This episode is a little shorter than intended as I'm in the middle of some projects that have me tied up and a man can't even let his mind wander like it needs to.

Yo! Taking up the majority of my head space this week is the greatness that is #BlackComicBookFestNYC at the Schomburg Center.  In addition, I reflect on the Fyre Festival documentaries which reminds me of Universal Fan(Scam)con.

Also, I forgot to mention it in the episode, but this does mark the start of me moving the show to a bi-weekly schedule.

What's good? This week I show Dollar Tree a little love, chronicle my adventures in the snow, and I have a few thoughts on the White House's national champions dinner.  I also let it be known that I'm going to start putting out shows on a bi-weekly basis since classes are starting back for me.  I intend to put out another next week and then start bi-weekly from there.

What's good ya'll?  This week, weighing heavy on my brain is the documentary #SurvivingRKelly.  If you've seen it, or followed conversations on social media, you already know it's deep.  I just share a few of the many things that came mind resulting from it.  I'm also thinking about Instagram eavesdropping in on my conversations, the Black National Anthem, as well as redistribution of wealth.
