See you soon bestie
On our season finale, we talk all things updates: Derek Chauvin, ACLU & Supreme Court, Japan and more. We also talk about political burnout and why it's actually okay to take a break from the news. Follow us everywhere @fckthepress for updates while we're on hiatus besties.
Join the vax club
Your girls are fucking vaccinated (almost). Besides that, we went over the murder of Daunte Wright, Biden pulling troops out of Afghanistan and what the fuck is going on with Johnson and Johnson shots (you'll wanna stick around for that one).
The Florida House or a frat house?
What frat do you guys think Florida's House of Reps would belong to? Idk either. Why don't we ask Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) aka the star of this week's episode (along with infrastructure week and France's new anti-Muslim legislation).
The rant you've been waiting for
We are very aware that we sound like your parents ranting in this episode and we are very okay with that. Another week but this time it's the intersection between Asian American hate crimes, the model minority myth and the Black community (and Georgia's new voter suppression bill).
Who keeps letting mfs publish op-eds in the WSJ
Meghan Markle IS real news
We collectively hate it here
College girls doing coke
No, it's surprisingly not us, even though we may sound like it. LinkedIn hate, Spider-man 3 & girls on coke but most importantly, some actual news. Johnson & Johnson vaccine updates, another COVID relief package, vaccine hoarding & Joe Manchin (don't worry, we are just as tired of him too).
2021: The most chaotic year?
Another absolutely chaotic episode: Senators have to leave deliberations early for V-Day plans, Texans are using jet-skis as modes of transportation, Turks are, yet again, pissed at the US for not endorsing terrorism, and sadly, much, much more. Oh, and we actually use our Twitter now, so check it out.
GOP's argument: hot a** mess
Future employers, don't listen to this one
The only real update from this episode is that Jack Schlossburg is thankfully still on the market. Less important updates include the debate over the COVID-19 relief bill, Marjorie Greene, Myanmar, and Jared Kushner. Yeah, the episode is just as depressing as it sounds. We'll try to have some good news next week and maybe (maybe) just be a little more articulate (probably not).
Real news starts at 7:22.
Still his b*tch from the grave
It will always be FDT
What's up fuckers. This week we really took a look at what the Biden administration has promised to us for the next 4 years along with a majority of the executive orders President Biden signed on his first day in office. No surprise, we circled back to Merry's Jon Ossoff obsession. As always, thanks for your submissions and sorry about the mic issue (again).
Twitter & middle school Fortnite lobbies
That's how we define the app, Parler.
Tune in this week to hear Seli and Merry go over COVID-19 vaccine common myths and misconceptions plus the House impeachment vote and the aftermath of the Capitol riot.
*Disclaimer: this episode was recorded on Wednesday, Jan. 13 and has outdated information regarding the House impeachment vote. Follow our Instagram for updates.
Merry 4 Jon Ossoff
We're back for another season and this one won't disappoint (hopefully). Tune in for another week of Seli mixing metaphors and mispronouncing everything + Merry exposing herself but mostly to talk about what happened on January 6 on Capitol Hill & the outcome of the historic GA Senate Elections.
"Bomb them into oblivion": Part 2
2017-2020. We know who Trump is, but what has he actually done in the last 4 years? On today's episode of the 2 part series, we talked about Trump's promises on defense/the military, the judicial department, ISIS, and so much more and whether or not he kept those promises.
Only 5 miles: Part 1
2017-2020. We know who Trump is but what has he actually done in the last 4 years? On today's episode of a 2 part series, we talked about the promises Trump made on the campaign trail in 2016 and which of those he actually kept (hint: it's a lot of them). This episode covers what he promised on the economy, trade, immigration and healthcare.
Merry is taking the LSAT
Amy Coney Barrett, the Senate races of our LIVES, voter referendums in Virginia, ending SARS and MORE. Yeah, we went all out in this episode (no need to flex or anything).
Pack it up conversion therapy Pence
WHATSUP guys!! New episode this week on a recap of the VP debate, our opinion on the new discussion surrounding the Obergefell v. Hodges case and the kidnapping of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer that was stopped by the FBI.
"Don't ever say the word 'smart' to me again, Joe"
WE'RE BACK BABY!! After facing the technical difficulties of a lifetime last week, we're back this week talking about the Breonna Taylor case and the shitshow we like to call the first presidential debate.
NEXT CALLER
West Coast wildfires, climate change and Planned Parenthood.
Yes, we know our audio quality is some ass, we're really trying so bear with us guys :) As always, thanks for listening & we'll see you next week.
Crooked Media please hire us
We're back and with a reintroduction! This week, we talked about who we are, why we started the pod and most importantly answered some of your questions on how to deal with anxiety and the news. We also talked about why it's important to care about international politics and what we hope to accomplish in the future. If you are a political science or international studies/relations major in college, you will definitely relate to this episode!
It's the blatant disregard of human rights for me
We aren't going to apologize for going off on this episode sorry. We talked gave updates on China and the Uygher Muslims, the rampant anti-semite attacks going around right now, election fraud updates and did a mini Q&A with your questions at the end!
Your teachers lied to you
First, we are sorry for how many times we say "um" in this episode. I promise we're working on it! This week we talked about Jacob Blake's attempted murder, imperialism in Africa and the roots of white supremacy. This episode means the most to us so we hope you stick it out to the end.
King Bhumibol & Vajiralongkorn
Other than us not being able to pronounce names on this episode, we covered the Thai protests, US intelligence reports regarding Iran and bounties, updates on Beirut and Belarus, the USPS and Russian interference in the 2016 elections. Are you guys proud of us for covering this much? We definitely are.
They been hoodwinked
On this episode, we learn that we can't pronounce words and we also talk about what happened these past couple of weeks. From a lawsuit threatening to destroy the NRA to all about Kamala Harris to the stopping of the annexation of Palestine, this episode covers a LOT.
If it's one thing he got, it's the audacity
Please excuse how many times we say "um" this episode. This week, we talked about the four main executive orders Trump passed in the last 2 weeks including his attempts to fix the student loan crisis and reinstall the $400 biweekly unemployment checks (all of which are unconstitutional).
All we care about is Tik Tok & election dates
On this episode, Merry and Seli take on voter mail fraud (or lack thereof), Trump moving the election and also banning (or not banning) TikTok. They also go over the Beruit explosion and places you can donate. Also, if you're religious in any way, stay tuned. Merry and Seli have a message for all the Christian Republicans out there about voting this election.
Don't run that shit back: how to not repeat 2016
On this solo episode, Merry takes on everything voting related (gerrymandering, which states' votes count more in the election, why you may not be eligible to vote etc). As boring as it sounds, it is one of the most important and relevant topics on the pod so far.
Federal agents are coming to a city near you.
This week, Merry and Seli talk about literally everything happening right now from Trump's handling of COVID-19 to what is happening in Portland, Oregon to new sexual harassment lawsuits and more. For more resources and to stay updated, follow our Instagram and Twitter.

The U.S. really has no chill: Israel and Palestine
In this week's episode, Seli doesn't know how to pronounce anything and Merry was really excited about knowing the WRONG dates of World War 1, but even so, we hope we explained the Israel and Palestine conflict well. Donate here and here if you can and follow us on Instagram and Twitter and on our website, if you're trying to stay educated.

Yeah, so the 2020 actually does impact you
Not going to lie, we went off on this one-- literally. This week's episode borders a rant but it's totally worth the listen to understand why Trump lying or the presidency even matters at all, the Trump administration's quiet dismantling and overlooking of so many social issues and most importantly, how the 2020 election directly impacts you as a student. We mentioned the Green New Deal sponsored by AOC and Hasan Minhaj's Patriot Act episode on Civil Rights (Season 2, Episode 4). Oh and follow our Insta and Twitter to keep up with election news until November.
For all the boys who still don't get it
Police...but like, not really.
Another week, another podcast episode and this week, we covered police training and qualifications, what defunding the police really means, how education is the key to solving institutionalized racism and voter suppression. We know. It's a lot, but its worth the listen! Follow us @fckthepress on Instagram and Twitter for more content this week and visit our website for our weekly articles.
