Bold Predictions in the Off-Season
Luke and Alex get together to discuss the coaching staff changes, available free agents, and Alex has the boldest (and perhaps dumbest?) take in the history of the show.
40-Man Cut 'Em or Keep 'Em
To wrap up the season, Luke and Alex got together to discuss their highs and lows from their season, their Least Valuable Player and Most Valuable Player (Alex's pick will absolutely SHOCK you), and then they play cut 'em or keep 'em with the full 40-man roster.
Scott Harris Wins the Presidency
Luke and Alex get together to discuss the Tigers hiring of Scott Harris and what that might mean for the future of the franchise. Additional topics include some NFC North NFL banter, and a little bonus feature after the end of the episode.
You Can't Build a Team Around Dennis Rodman
Luke and Alex got together on Labor Day to discuss the Tigers, happenings around the League, and a quick look at the 2023 schedule. Other discussions include managerial openings, the collapse of the Yankees, and whether Javi can ever be "the guy".
Robbie Grossman Proves It Is Time To Fire Scott Coolbaugh
Luke and Alex get together following the Tigers series win against the Angels to discuss what it is to be a Tigers fan right now, why it feels different to watch the team, and why there are reasons for hope for 2023 (and that no one should be talking about throwing that year away in favor of '24).
The Moment We've Al Been Waiting For
Luke and Alex get together on a fantastic Wednesday night to discuss the firing of Al Avila. Though it was years too late, the conversation discusses what the path forward might look like, who their ideal GM Candidate would be, and what they would do first if they became the GM of the Detroit Tigers.
Note: In our delirious excitement, we were a little looser with our language than normal.
Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks is a Better Pick than Any that We Made
Sean and Tom join Luke and Alex to review how their pre-season picks have fared so far this season - discussion primarily goes league wide as opposed to a Tigers focus this week. Colin Lyman, who picked with us pre-show, was unable to join us, but that doesn't stop us from some well natured ribbing.
Programming note: we recorded this last Sunday evening, before the Daniel Norris news was announced.
There aren't any F Bombs, but Boy Do We Come Close
A frustrating return from vacation for Alex and Luke, as they discuss the disappointment that has been the first half of the Tigers season. They also chat about what they got right in preseason, wrong, and what their boldest prediction is for the second half of the year.
The Nail in the Coffin?
Luke and Alex catch up on the Tigers over the past two weeks, and give a little preview about the situation heading towards the All-Star break. With a packed divisional schedule leading up to the All-Star Break, have the Tigers hit the true make or break moment for the season? Will they get to the break with any sense of life, or will the only thing that really swings be the door closing shut on the season?
Chris Ilitch is the Official Subject of These Rants
And his pizza isn't even that good. Luke and Alex get together on a Tuesday night ahead of first pitch against the White Sox to discuss the last week of play and the overall status of the organization. This might be a good episode to listen to while working out so you can lift through your rage.
At least the Milkshake was Good at Yankee Stadium
Luke and Alex get together to discuss the Tigers going 4-3 in their last 7, 14-10 in their last 24 and the three-game sweep at the hands of the Yankees that Alex bore witness to. They also preview the week ahead, go through some stats, and discuss whether or not Miguel Cabrera will be the Tigers representative at the All-Star Game.
Chris Brown Stops By
Luke and Alex are joined by Chris Brown (@ChrisBrown0914) of the Tigers Minor League Report among many other spots in the greater Tigers media universe. They cover a wide range of Tigers related topics, have some rapid fire fun, and have a short discussion about the Tigers broadcast team.
Tigers Try to Sweep Their Problems Under the Rug
Luke and Alex get together after the Tigers Sweep the Orioles to examine what the sweep means, what comes next, and what the state of the season is in light of this recent performance.
Time to hit the panic button?
The great debate among Tigers fans: is it time to hit the panic button? Luke and Alex take opposites sides of the debate and arrive at one conclusion: either way - it's not good right now.
Also of note: we recorded Monday night before the news of Faedo making his debut.
The Injury Bug Bites with a Vengeance
Luke and Alex got together on the planned off-day to discuss the first stretch of the Tigers season, why being 4-5 at this point is alright, and the challenges of surviving April with the injury decimated roster as it currently stands. Other topics include Alex's review of attending the Rangers/Angels game at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
Tigers Drop the Series on Opening Weekend
Luke and Alex get together on Sunday afternoon, following the Tigers trouncing by the White Sox. They discuss what they saw on opening weekend, both from the Tigers and from Major League Baseball on a wider level.
2022 Season Picks Episode
Alex and Luke are joined by Resident A's fan (and 2-time defending picks champion) Tom, Resident Nice Guy (and former Louisville Cardinal) Colin Lyman, and twitch streamer Sean Young to make their picks for the 2022 season. They pick division winners, wild card teams, and then finish up with a snake draft to build a "team of teams" to bring someone World Series glory. Along the way, they name their most underrated and overrated teams in MLB, and crack a few jokes.
Is Al Avila Secretly the Best GM?
We have a season! Luke and Alex get together to close out the lockout chapter of 2022 and start to turn the page and discuss actual baseball. Beyond the lockout, they chat rule changes, CMOs projected opening day roster, and if they think the Tigers will play any part in the remaining signings yet to happen.
The Lockout Continues
Luke and Alex are joined by Resident Voice of Reason Tom to discuss the lockout situation, make some outlandish predictions, and discuss ways to fix baseball and "grow the game". Other topics of conversation include why Babe Ruth isn't the greatest baseball player of all time.
Colin Lyman is a Really Nice Guy
Luke and Alex are joined by former Louisville Cardinal Colin Lyman to chat lockout, negotiations, and what the life of a college baseball player is like. Also, since Colin is a White Sox fan we have a little fun discussing the division, and where we think the Tigers might finish in 2022 - if there's a season, that is.
Sorry for the delay, we were locked out
Luke and Alex get together at the start of a new year in the calendar and catch up on the Tigers news, the lockout news, and do a little thinking on what level of hope Tigers fans should be entering this season with.
Welcome to season 3.
Free Agency Begins, and We Wrap Up the Season
Luke and Alex get together after a long and unexpected hiatus (sorry about that) to finally wrap up the 2021 campaign and to look ahead to what the Tigers will and should do this off-season - including sharing thoughts on the Tucker Barnhart acquisition.
Only God Can Stop a No-Hitter
In a bit of a grab bag episode, Luke and Alex talk about some of the other stories in MLB this week - the subway series, Scherzer’s 3,000k, what constitutes a no-hitter - as well as the current spate of injuries and how that might be impacting the Tigers planning for the off-season.

Is Candy the best player on this team?
Luke and Alex discuss the different flavors of being a fan, why it is really hard to be either type in this pivot point of the rebuild (and why they’ll still be watching these meaningless for a championship games in September). They also discuss some of the surprises of the year, have an early MVP of the Tigers conversation, and Alex says they should replace the grass at Comerica with turf.
Cut from the episode: An approximately 10 minute discussion about Connie Britton.

This is the 24th episode of season 2. Coincidence? Yes.
The 500th finally happened, and Luke was at the pool, Alex was in a car (without the game on the radio). But that doesn’t mean Miggy deserves any less celebration. Other topics of conversation include the prospects for a title in the next two years, off-season free agent acquisitions they want to see, and a little detour to one of the most Mets stories of the year.

After an unplanned hiatus, Luke and Alex get together to discuss the state of the team (6-4 over their last ten) and if this means they may have turned something of a corner and will be a little more watchable the rest of the year. The Experimental Prototype Episode of Tomorrow
This week, we tried a little experiment. In lieu of our traditional format, Luke and Alex went live during Sunday's spring training matchup against the Orioles (which the Tigers won 5-1). The live show happened on our Facebook, and what we're bringing you in this feed is an edited down version of their conversation. This particular conversation covered a lot of topics, but primarily kept to the lineup as guys came up to bat, and what moves the guys hope the Tigers make in this upcoming off-season, as well as speculation on the development of some of our top prospects. If you liked the format, be sure and let us know. We'll be back with our regular format next week.
