Plastic Pollution Coalition with Julia Cohen
Very recently I got invited to a workshop on plastic pollution policy advocacy that was organized by Plastic Pollution Coalition, Oceana and Student PIRG's. I had a wonderful time, leaned so much about media training, lobbying, campaign planning, crafting local legislation, starting a local community group, and more. I met many amazing people including Plastic Pollution Coalition's Co-founder and Managing Director Julia Cohen with whom I had the pleasure of talking to for this episode. Julia is an incredible woman with a career on leadership and community outreach. Some of her positions are amongst organizations like Environmental Working Group (EWG), Woman’s National Democratic Club (WNDC), National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), Save The Children’s Youth Noise, Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and many more. Today we talked about Plastic Pollution Coalition, what it does, what we can learn and how we can join to make changes in our lives.

Anthroposophy with Dietmar Kasper
I have been reading a lot about Anthroposophy lately and was lucky to find an event on the subject in Miami. There I met Dietmar Kasper with whom I had the privilege to learn from on the subjects of biodynamic farming and anthroposophical medicine. He is an experienced Waldorf educator from Germany trained at the anthroposophic academy for Waldorf education in Mannheim, Germany. He has worked in several Waldorf schools. Most recently, the Rudolf Steiner School, Mittelrhein - Neuwied, where he is still busy with a small deputation today.
When we talked he had just done the workshop at Miami’s only Waldorf school Sunrise School of Miami located in Pinecrest. He was so graceful to give me a few minutes to chat. Listen to our short conversation and crash intro on what Anthroposophy is. More on the subject in the upcoming episodes.

They have recently launched their website called lowwastelife.com where you can find guides for sustainable living, taking action for climate justice, tips for zero waste and more. Listen in and rest assured they'll be back for another chat! Follow them at @jackiewithmarta on instagram. Thanks for listening!

This is another chat with my husband about the things that we do at home to try to be more sustainable and how we drastically reduce our waste. We're home, drinking sake in our repurposed containers and having a good chat. Join us to learn about some tips that you mind find useful for your home. Additional Resources based in Miami are mentioned at the end of the episode: @mimamarketmiami @loveyourmama @verde_market @vitavibeorganics @ygfarmersmarket @littlerivercooperative In the past I've also shared a few more details on my blog Minimalina.com

Our Attempt at Being Minimalists
On my first episode I chat with my husband and share how we live as minimalists in our home with our kids. We do not own a TV, have only 2 drawers in the entire house and have capsule wardrobes (17 articles of clothing for him, 35 for her). Listen to our quiet chat (shh our kids are sleeping) in this late Miami night. A special thanks to my husband for entertaining these creative projects with me. I love you.
Welcome || Pilot
Welcome to my podcast!
I'm taking a risk doing this personal project that had been in the back burner for years. I want to share information and resources around the subjects of sustainability in the house hold with children and chickens and all, plus many other eco-friendly things we practice. We live in Miami and travel with these practices in mind. Join me in this journey, I am not a master in the subject of sustainability but I love to research and share resources and I consider myself a carrier of useful info. The short intro of this podcast is that this is merely a channel to share what other people have learned and have to share on the subject of sustainability and environmentalism.
