Chancellor K Jackson You Love and Learn and How 14 days in Beijing Jail changed My life
The Arabian Traveler Poetry spends time with Chancellor Jackson to talk about love and how he was able to overcome adversities by finding love and compassion for himself. He talks about his journey to teach English in China and how that transformed his life. He came over adversities through the deep love his family had for him, and his early years of playing football. As someone who came late to play football, he had to overcome adversities and find emotional intelligence to help guide him as a male of color. He talks lovingly of his single mom who raised him along with his brother in a very busy neighborhood and gave him everything he needed. Chancellor K Jackson (1995) was born in Fulton County, Georgia, to Native American parents, grew up in Smyrna, Georgia, and attended Stetson University. For nine years he played football at the high school and collegiate levels. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies, Chancellor lived abroad in China from 2018-2019. Chancellor fell into writing after his traumatic experience of being arrested and detained in Beijing for 14 days. His first book, "14 Days in Beijing" has ranked #1 over fifteen times on Amazon in multiple genres. Chancellor has recently released his first romance drama titled 'You Love and You Learn' now available on Amazon.

Today My Story Starts
Why Do You Ask?
Why do you ask?
I walked in with my head held high and without shame.
So, Why do you ask?
My blood is Arabian, quenched by the water of *Zamzam.
And my brothers in this universe are older and abundant.
The night, the day, and the lions of the jungles know me.
The lions bow for me and run
I have a question for you before you ask?
Don't you know my forefathers?
They ruled the world before
And surpassed me.
Or is it that my feeble
generation that made you forget that I am a grandchild to the admirals of the seas;
And that I am a prince ;
Son of a prince that was humbled over the years and more.
So why do you ask?
For this head;
This head is held High;
Full of pride;
Full of dreams and;
Full of majestic history;
A history that became old and forgot me.
So please, REMEMBER ME!
My forefathers made history
And I am embarrassed that I squandered something beautiful and grand
As I played and sported with my brothers,
The sea and the tide pulled us to a smaller future.
Heartbreak and woe to a generation that does not contemplate!
To a generation that lost the most beautiful and precious thing an people can have :
Dignity;
Nobility;
And a reputation that opens the doors and more.
Oh ye asker,
I don't blame you for asking for
I neglected my homework and more.
My brothers and I inherited treasures and quickly squandered it.
This question awakened me to the bitter truth:
if I continue to dream, I will not DO.
So, let's WORK brothers
For our balance is zero in
The international banks of nations
