#TheAlexWay 11 | Interview with Missouri Valley College Women's Soccer Team Assistant Coach and Former Sevilla FC Professional Player Ana Bejarano

On this week's episode, I was joined by Missouri Valley College's Women's Soccer team Assistant Coach Ana Bejarano. We discussed Ana's player experience as a former Sevilla FC professional player. We also learned more about her college coaching career in the U.S. We talked about Ana's journey as an international student in America's Midwest as well as her origins back in Spain.

Ana Bejarano is originally from Aracena, Spain. She was a soccer player for over 15 years. She was able to reach 2nd Division with Sevilla FC in the Spanish Women's Liga. Her playing career brought her to the United States to study abroad and continue to play the beautiful game at Missouri Valley College where she played soccer for an additional 3 years before retiring. After her retirement as a player, she decided to coach at her alma mater. Later on she went as far as to get her Master's degree from Lindenwood University.

It was so pleasant to learn about Ana's life story. She's not only a passionate student of the game, but also a UEFA C licensed coach. Ana's dream is to coach professional soccer in La Liga becoming the first ever woman to coach men's soccer back in her home country. I'm grateful Ana became my first female soccer professional guest. Hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did. #TheAlexWay

#TheAlexWay 9 | Interview with MLS Next FC Dallas Youth Soccer Player Nayrobi Vargas

#TheAlexWay 9 | Interview with MLS Next FC Dallas Youth Soccer Player Nayrobi Vargas

Nayrobi Vargas is a 14 year old Christian young man who currently plays for MLS Next FC Dallas. Nayrobi was born in Honduras. At the age of five, him and his family left to start a life in the United States. Nayrobi has lived in the states of New York, North Carolina and Texas due to his parents' multiple jobs over time. Today, it seems the U.S. and Honduras soccer federations are keeping a close eye on him thanks to his impressive statistics at FC Dallas U15 Youth Academy team.

Nayrobi has been playing for FC Dallas since 2017. Throughout his athletic journey with the club, he has always produced incredible statistics. For example, during the 2019-2020 season, Nayrobi was able to score 12 goals and make 15 assists in only 20 games. Furthermore, he has achieved outstanding individual awards such as the 2019 Rayados Cup top goal scorer and FC Dallas top season goal scorer. Recently, Nayrobi was invited to participate in both the U17 Honduras Youth National team as well as the U15 U.S. Youth National team camps in the year 2020.

Nayrobi is a strong Christian young man who prioritizes his faith and family. Nayrobi's father, Luther Chimilio Vargas, has been an important part of his development, for Mr. Vargas is a former professional player from Real C.D. España in the Honduras Salva Vida soccer league. I had so much fun interviewing Nayrobi as well as having connected with his family. Hope you enjoy this interview and we can all see Nayrobi flourish and become a professional player either here in the U.S. or in Europe one day.
