Today’s guest is Krisha Hernandez, Ph.D. Dr. Hernandez joins Mother Earth Clan to share their knowledge and wisdom about native bees in the desert areas of southern California. In today’s episode we learn about the intricacies and importance of native bees as relatives and pollinators in our local ecosystem and nationwide agriculture.
Dr. Hernandez completed their dissertation at the University of California Santa Cruz. Their dissertation is titled Agents of Pollination: Native and Indigenous Lives & Bodies, and US Agricultural Technosciences.

In today’s episode Cindi and Lorene interview the Directors and contributors of the powerful documentary film Saging the World. Rose Ramirez, Deborah Small, and Craig Torres discuss the importance of educating the masses on the worldwide commodification and commercialization of this grandmother plant. Today’s guests also discuss how the film was produced, how the film has been received, and the detrimental effects of white sage poaching. Tune in to learn about the importance of establishing a reciprocal relationship with nature and what you can do to stop the exploitation of white sage.

Today's episode features Olivia Chumacero, the caretaker of 80 acres of forest land near Yellowstone National Park. In today's episode Cindi, Lorene, and Olivia discuss the importance of having a reciprocal relationship with Mother Earth. They also discuss fire safety and forest preservation. Olivia encourages us to be mindful of our use of water and intentional about the flora we plant. She reminds us that humans are meant to be stewards of the Earth to protect and conserve natural resources. Tune in to learn about the importance of properly caring for land and wildlife.
