He attended Essex High School, where he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles. He went to James Madison University (funny story on that in the show) and signed with the Texas Rangers. He went on to play 8 seasons of professional baseball and has been a coach in professional baseball for the last 30+ years!! Peanut shares his story of growing up playing in a small town, how he ended up at JMU, getting drafted out of high school, and the disappointment of not getting drafted out of college.....but he managed to have success in professional baseball anyway!!!

In this episode, I share the story of the day I was released and the last game I ever pitched in. I also talk about trying to figure out my identity without being a baseball player.

Reggie Johnson is a former Pitcher in the Houston Astros organization. Reggie attended Essex High School and went on to play baseball at Division 3, Hampden-Sydney College. He went on to become 7th all-time in career strikeouts at Hampden-Sydney and became just the 3rd player in program history to play for an MLB organization. In this episode, he talks about being a multi-sport athlete growing up, what the recruiting process was like, fulfilling a promise to his grandmother, being selected to the All-Star game in his first full professional season, and more!!!

In this episode, we're digging up a story from my past! In April of 2006, 2 months prior to the MLB Draft, I broke my pitching thumb mid-game and threw a CG! I'll also talk about details leading up to that game, including what "I'm from Missouri" had to do with pushing me that year and what impacts the injuries had.
