Valencia (@vgabriellaa) is currently working as a Product Manager at Traveloka, building Indonesian Women League (@indonesianwomenleague) on the side, and was a recent Masters in Entrepreneurship graduate from the University of Melbourne. She had also did various roles in strategy, marketing, branding across various industries.

In this episode, we talk about what it's like to build a career in Indonesia after working and studying abroad in Hong Kong, Japan, US, and Australia. We ask her on how to transition to roles in different industries or ones that require different skill-sets, and how do we prepare ourselves before going home for good? Plus, we also debunk myths and common misconceptions about working in Jakarta.

This episode is full of practical advice for any of us looking to upgrade ourselves be it fresh graduates, early professionals, and especially those of you still in university.

Stephen Sutanto (@sutanto_stephen) is the only Indonesian dentist in Hong Kong. He currently practices in four different clinics, including his own newly opened clinic in Kwun Tong.

In this episode, we talked about the life of a dentist in Hong Kong and how to succeed in a service business. Everyone can pick up the technical skills but what makes the difference is maintaining the human touch to build trust with clients. Stephen will share more about managing expectations, building relationships, and immersing in local culture.

Pritya is a banker by day and for the past 5 years has been volunteering as a trainer at Enrich HK on the side. Enrich is an award-winning Hong Kong charity promoting the economic empowerment of migrant domestic workers, and in this episode, we talk specifically about the Indonesian Domestic Workers (PMI - Pekerja Migran Indonesia).

In this episode, we talk to Pritya about what stood out to her the most throughout her time as a trainer and what keeps her going. We also try and explore reasons as to why these domestic workers are facing the problems they’re facing and what can be done to help alleviate them. Lastly, we talk about how Enrich helps to improve financial inclusion, most specifically for these domestic workers.
