Early in 2018 I had the idea to start a podcast about music videos because I realized after listening to so many podcasts that none of them ever discussed music videos exclusively. Whether strange, controversial, or in short film format, music videos are still making headlines these days, and are still enjoyed by so many.
So I decided to ask my very creative friend Cordy Driussi, to be my co-host and for us to start this podcast together where we can have guests on and discuss this art form. Each episode we'll have a new guest, and the guest picks the music video for the discussion.

"Nobody" by Mitski
This week we talk about the layers of meaning and beautiful imagery of Mitski's latest music video. After mentioning every episode we decided it was time to finally dive right into it with a friend from out of town, Jessie Grantz. Listen in as we talk about all things Mitski, as well as some other recent favorites of ours.
Note: In this podcast we incorrectly refer to the actress in Ed Sheeran's "Galway Girl" as Lily Loveless, famous for her role as Naomi in Skins. After the podcast was recorded we watched the music video only to discover it was the lovely Saorise Ronan! We are both HUGE Ladybird fans and apologize for the mix-up, at the time we had no knowledge of her involvement in the music video world! But are very happy to see her doing some work in one of our favorite mediums!

"Sacrilege" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
We had a sit-down and chat with Emily Eckelbarger, an amazing photographer in our social circles, on the last day before she moved to NYC to pursue her future career! Main episode focuses on "Sacrilege" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but we also discuss The Carters' (Beyonce's) "Apesh*t" and Mitski's "Nobody", the latter of which we will focus on in next week's episode.
