Money Saving Tips with Krys the Maximizer
Shopping for the family can be an expensive task, but it doesn't have to be with the right plan in place! This week we're joined by Krys the Maximizer, who uses her platforms to educate families on the value of couponing, planning, and saving. Since she was in college, Krys has been couponing and hasn't paid full price for many of her regular household items in years. She asked herself, "If money wasn't an issue, what would you be doing?". Her answer was couponing. She started a YouTube channel on a whim one day while shopping with her daughter. As she shared her knowledge with her growing subscribers, her hard work paid off—her channel blew up! Krystal has spent her whole life working, selling, and saving. Because she knows what it is to work hard, she's always looking for ways to maximize not just her income but her whole life. Becoming Krys the Maximizer should have been a no-brainer, but in all reality, it took some drastic measures to break out of the box and fully embody who she was meant to be. She got fired from her job in 2019, and it was the best thing to ever happen to her. After seeing firsthand how many people's lives could be changed by couponing through the success of her YouTube channel, she was more motivated than ever to help people turn their lives around by saving and making money. While she's learned that not everyone is interested in drastically changing their life by learning to coupon, for the ones who are—she's ready to help. All you need is a little bit of know-how and strategy! Tune in this week as we discuss how to get started with couponing and maximize your budget!

Chelsie finds those overlooked details are what makes parenthood such a fascinating and rewarding experience—and she's passionate about shedding some light on those subjects for all the new parents, soon-to-be parents, or even the seasoned ones. With every fiber of her being, she loves helping people, and she's on a mission to shatter that sense of loneliness and ease anxieties many mothers feel. She finds one of the best ways to do that is by sharing real stories so that we can all connect with one another. This week on the podcast, we talk about the value of sharing experiences—the good and the bad—and how we can silence the comparisons and ultimately create a parenting style that works for you and your family.

This week we're joined by Dr. Kimberly Wilson! We discuss impostor syndrome when it comes to careers, parenthood, and other common areas women experience it -- but importantly we dive into strategies to over come impostor syndrome.  Dr. Kimberly Wilson is the go-to expert for high-achieving women experiencing burnout. Her mission is to cure 5,500 women of burnout in honor of her grandmother’s legacy. After retiring from the Marine Corps and then leading mental health teams; she discovered that lines were blurred between her work and home life. She was caring for her infants and providing guidance to a team of staff at the same time. Her days became an endless cycle of putting out fires at home and work. She struggled with feeling that there wasn’t enough time in the day and that, frankly, maybe she wasn’t enough to get it all done.  Dr. Kimberly was able to meet organizational goals and take care of her family; however, there was no joy. She was meeting all the metrics of success, yet secretly wondering how much longer could she endure at this pace? After crying in her car between meetings once again, a thread to the solution emerged. She created sustainable strategies to be present in her life. Dr. Kimberly assists women through a deep understanding and time-tested experience of supporting leaders. This experiential and academic understanding minimizes the risk of just spinning your wheels without results. Dr. Kimberly Wilson received her doctorate in International Psychology. She is an author, coach, provides therapy as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 20+ years, and an international psychologist. She is the mother of two teenagers.  Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault

The Importance of Self-Care with Dr. Alessandra Poroj
This week we're diving into the importance of self-care with Dr. Alessandra Poroj! We discuss how to listen to our body's needs, create time for self-care, and the importance of taking care of ourselves so we can be there for others.  Alessandra Poroj is the owner of WOWD (Women of Worth & Destiny) Center for Wellness. She is a Self-Care Architect and Holistic Practitioner. Alessandra is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy and Howard University School of Divinity. She has practiced pharmacy for over 20 years. She had experienced burnout several times and watched other women constantly running empty, with a complete absence of consistent self-care. These experiences, along with a deep knowing that she wasn’t walking fully in her divine destiny lead to a career pivot and an exploration of transformative self-care practices. Her amazing journey has resulted in her becoming a certified 200-hr yoga instructor, pre-/postnatal yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner, Thai foot massage and yoga massage practitioner, yoga nidra guide, and holistic fertility doula. She is also a trained ritual facilitator. Alessandra created WOWD Center for Wellness to be a sacred space for restorative, energetic self-care practices that allow for transformative shifts in the body, mind, and spirit that strengthen, heal and empower women.
