Beach Blast '93
If you remember Beach Blast '93 as a kid you probably remember the extended short film that showed Sting and the British Bulldog enjoying time on the beach only to be confronted by Big Van Vader and Sid Vicious and a bomb on a boat. We're back to look at this show which had more than a couple feuds coming to a head such as Barry Windham versus Ric Flair as well as Johnny B. Badd looking to get revenge on Maxx Payne for the Bad Blaster face blast Badd took at the Clash.
Clash of the Champions 23
Season Five continues with Clash of the Champions 23. Listen and have a good time.
Survivor Series War Games (Reaction Episode)
So we decided to take the old pod out for a spin. Unfortunately we didn't have the great Charlie Stabile with us, but we got a couple of Jason's friends to guest on this and give their reactions to WWE's Survivor Series War Games.
Great time getting together. Nothing wild or crazy here. Just working out the muscles before we get back into Season 5!

The Perfect 10's - Bret Hart vs. 1-2-3 Kid (Monday Night Raw, July 1994)
There may not be a wrestler in WWF, WWE, WCW, NWA, or any wrestling promotion with a vault of classics like Bret Hart. Making a top ten list of his best wrestling matches is a fun draft, full of a requisite list of must-haves. Here's one that may sneak into yours. On July 11, 1994, Bret Hart defended the WWF Championship against 1-2-3 Kid in a TV match during the infancy of Monday Night Raw. Despite being embroiled in the feud with his brother Owen, this match is an absolute gem during this time and holds up to this day. Bret Hart holds a lot of accolades in professional wrestling history and lore, but one of his best is getting the best match out of anyone at any time. (We'll leave the WCW run out of this for the most part.) This match with Kid (Sean Waltman) is a special match that still has the argument to be one of the best Monday Night Raw matches ever. William Renken dives into this match, bringing in clips from both Bret Hart and Sean Waltman in prior interviews to bring full perspective from the performers themselves as part of the Perfect 10 series. Let us know your thoughts! How high is this match in your Bret Hart catalog?

Clash of the Champions XXI
We're closing in on the end of 1992, on the cusp of the Starrcade. That must mean it's time for a Clash of the Champions, and here we are at Clash XXI, which is the video production bonanza of the year. There are so many tournaments going on, it's kind of ridiculous, but we've got plenty of action on this card. Paul E. versus Madusa in the "has not aged well" match of the night along with Rick Rude versus Sting in the semi-finals of the King of Cable tournament. Also, the Unified World Tag Team Titles are on the line when Dustin Rhodes/Barry Windham defend against Ricky Steamboat and up-and-comer Shane "Looking at your Gary Michael Cappetta!" Douglas.

Halloween Havoc '92
WWE has finally brought Halloween Havoc out of its WCW's mothballs, and it worked out perfectly because here we are in Season Five with Halloween Havoc '92. "Spin the wheel, make the deal." Wow, what a pay-per-view marketing campaign? How did it pay off? Was it a good pay off? We will discuss as Sting takes on Jake Roberts in the main event.

Season Five continues with a trip to Atlanta as WCW celebrates 20 years of wrestling on TBS. Ron Simmons defends the WCW World Title against Cactus Jack and in a very crowded main event, Sting, Nikita Koloff, and the Steiner Brothers take on Jake Roberts, Rick Rude, Big Van Vader, and Super Invader in an elimination match. We've had this one on the books for awhile, and it's finally here. The Perfect 10's - Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka (One Night Stand '05
In this episode of the The Perfect 10's, William is joined by Tom Franken from the Stranger Rings podcast, who chose Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka from ECW's One Night Stand '05. Awesome and Tanaka have an incredible feud that spans many wrestling promotions, most famously ECW from 1998-1999. One Night Stand was part of WWE's reboot of ECW, and this match became a signature for the show, and for a brief moment didn't feel like the sanitized version of ECW that we get for the next few years.

The Perfect 10's - Cactus Jack vs. Triple H (Royal Rumble 2000)
By the time the year 2000 rolled around, WWE was missing its top draw with Stone Cold Steve Austin due to injury. A new top heel was needed, and thus Triple H was put on the on-ramp to wrestling superstardom while also becoming the definitive incarnation of his character as The Game. But he needed a match that would make people believe he was more than just Shawn Michael's buddy. Mick Foley, despite the massive wear and tear absorbed by his body throughout his career, stepped up as Cactus Jack to give Triple H the match he needed: a street fight at Madison Square Garden. Charlie breaks down this Perfect 10 from Royal Rumble 2000 that marked the moment that Triple H could confidently stand on his own and be regarded by the fans as one of the tops stars in the wrestling business.

The Perfect 10's - Lex Luger vs. Ric Flair (WrestleWar '90)
This week, William is joined by Drew Wardlaw (@_burningspirits) from the You Don't Know Billy Jack podcast featured on the Place to Be Wrestling Network. Drew has picked Lex Luger vs. Ric Flair from WrestleWar '90 for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Luger has a complicated history and reception in wrestling, but this is a defining match for him and for Flair, and it's a great discussion about NWA, WCW, and WWF versions of the Luger character and what worked and what didn't.

The Perfect 10's - The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles (WrestleMania 36)
WWE always wants WrestleMania to be memorable, and in 2020 they certainly got that with WrestleMania 36.
Was The Undertaker versus AJ Styles going to be a memorable match if it was a one-on-one match in a ring in front of thousands of fans? We'll never know. What we do know is that because of COVID-19, WrestleMania changed and so did the matchup between The Phenom and The Phenomenal One. A match in the squared circle became The Boneyard Match, and unbeknownst to everyone, it would become one of The Undertaker's signature moments in his storied career. The old gunfighter, many times compared to Clint Eastwood as a persona, does battle one more time (and who knows, maybe the last time) in an event that has the ramifications to change WWE programming forever.

The Perfect 10's - Triple H vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (No Way Out '01)
If you're going to be doing a wrestling podcast about a Perfect 10 from Triple H, there is no one better than Scott Criscuolo from the Place to Be Podcast. We're talking through his Perfect 10, Triple H taking on Stone Cold Steve Austin from No Way Out '01. Huge WWF pay-per-view on the road to WrestleMania X7 and certainly a huge match for both Triple H and Austin for this part of their careers.

The Perfect 10's - The Mountie vs. The Big Boss Man (Jailhouse Match, SummerSlam '91)
One of the hottest angles of 1991, The Mountie and The Big Boss Man were on a collision course in the WWF, and it finally culminated in a fitting gimmick match: a Jailhouse match where the loser would have to spend the night in a New York City jail. Dan Rackley joins William to talk through why he thinks this is a perfect 10.

The Perfect 10's - Dude Love vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (Over the Edge '98)
With his title win at WrestleMania XIV, Stone Cold Steve Austin ushered in the Attitude Era as the new WWF Champion. However, it's his feud with Dude Love (and Vince McMahon) that immediately followed that really kickstarted where the business was headed. William goes through and talks through the buildup to this second match in the series with Dude Love. Follow the podcast on Twitter (@newbloodpod) and Facebook (New Blood Rising Podcast).
The Perfect 10's - 2001 Royal Rumble Match
William and Charlie are back with a Perfect 10 that encompasses the Royal Rumble match from the 2001 Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The '01 Rumble is mentioned in the same conversation with the legendary 1992 Royal Rumble. The guys talk through some of the comparisons and what ultimately made the '01 Rumble match special and one that really hasn't been equalled since. Also discussed based on a prior episode is what the guys think of John Cena's US Open Challenge from 2015. Join in the conversation on Twitter (@newbloodpod) and Facebook (New Blood Rising Podcast).
The Perfect 10's - John Cena vs. Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar (Royal Rumble 2015
Triple Threat matches can be an interesting but mostly disappointing lot for WWE and wrestling fans. In 2015, one match defied the cliches and expectations, and that was John Cena vs. Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Royal Rumble 2015. Its a match with great storytelling and fantastic pace. William Renken talks through the background and the match and updates on Best of Luck Spot HOF 2020. The Perfect 10's - Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania XXV)
There are some that say it is the best WWE match of all time, and this week William is joined by Henry, the host of the Raw Attitude Podcast, to talk through the monumental WrestleMania XXV clash between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. What still makes this match so special to this day? Follow us on Twitter (@newbloodpod) and let us know your thoughts.
The Perfect 10's - The Rock vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania X8)
In 2002, one year removed from the zenith of the Attitude Era, the WWF had to try and catch that same lightning in a bottle again with WrestleMania X8 in Toronto, Canada. They fell way short. But where they fell short as a show overall, they exceeded with a match that is unforgettable and a testament to what live performance, specifically in professional wrestling, can be. It's The Rock vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan. A match that has maybe a quarter the work-rate of Savage vs. Warrior but just as much drama and rapport with the audience. This is a Perfect 10 from William Renken. Please follow the podcast on Twitter (@newbloodpod) and on Facebook (New Blood Rising Podcast).
Great American Bash '92

We didn't have the output we necessarily wanted, but we will be back soon with a proper wrestling episode in our timeline.
Clash of the Champions XIX
William and Charlie return with Clash of the Champions XIX, which took place in our backyard of Charleston, SC.
