This is what PokeLogic was meant to be all along!: a name change. We've made our way back, with CJ (formerly ZWolf, Fad3) & new PDIMS host Trainer Taj; in today's episode, we talk about if trade evolutions make sense, what changes could be made, and we play a little identity game! With the Nintendo Switch nearing the end of its life cycle, we ask "are they still doing Nintendo Selects," as they have yet to adopt the practice of lowering the $60 price tag on their oldest, biggest hitters for the console. People weren't fans of how Super Mario 3D All-Stars & Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light were handled, as they were released for a limited time. Is it that important to drive up demand with such an objectively egregious tactic?

CJ & Táj tell NF what Gen 9 is all about! They also go over what was done better in Gen 8 compared to now, as well as why NF wasn't satisfied enough to buy into it.

"The Problem" is a subtitle that let's you, the listener, know it'll be an organized rant episode about a problematic situation we find with a particular decision that Nintendo, or one of their subsidiaries or partners have made that have resulted in an inferior experience or product. As you've read the title, today's topic is Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield. We love the game, but their are a few too many issues with it to not address it, so with Taj here in-person to lead off the rant, we delve into what could've contributed to this being a near-flawless Pokémon experience in its then-new form factor.

NF & CJ discuss whether the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass is really worth it, and in our case, it'd cost us $80/yr. We discuss how it started versus how it's going, what Nintendo got wrong, what's still wrong, as well as what they got right & convincing factors. In a later discussion, we'll also touch on what this could spell for the Nintendo Switch's successor. We also get Táj & CJ to reminisce, as well as hype about Diamond & Pearl in 2021! NF will be purchasing Legends Arceus, but what is it? How will it play? What's the story like? Should they go the distance with experimentation in this new form of Pokémon? The three of us delve deeply into all this here! (There seemed to be a connection issue on my end throughout the Pokémon Z portion of the episode. I was unaware that it was or why it occurred, so sorry in advance.)

In NF & CJ's first episode as a duo (shocking, I know!), we are long overdue on talking about the long-awaited announcement of an improved Nintendo Switch, only it isn't quite what the majority of fans & analysts expected. With CJ back for our return to PokéLogic, we review topics from the show's past, from how we felt Let's Go would've turned out to what Sword & Shield brought us, including The Isle of Armour & The Crown Tundra; let's just say we REALLY had a lot to say about The Crown Tundra. In the next episode, we'll consider a "will they/won't they" of sorts on Pokémon Z or something similar to Legends Arceus, which is another topic we'll be discussing alongside the long-awaited Gen 4 remakes and what all this means for Game Freak moving forward.
