Ray Cappo is an author, musician, podcaster, orator who has been in such bands as Youth of Today, Shelter and Better Than a Thousand. Issa roadied and did sound for Damnation back in the day and they played buffalo quite a bit. Issa is most known for his band Good Clean Fun though. In this episode we interviewed Forbes Graham. While Forbes is not from Buffalo he is a friend of Co -Host Mark who MArk has known since the 90's. Forbes spends much of his time creating very avant garde music featuring his trumpet these days but he spent a bunch of time in the hardcore scene. Forbes was in such bands as Amalgamation and KayoDot. We talked to Forbes about his experiences in the hardcore/punk and general questions about his music career at large. In this episode we got someone who we never thoughtg would be on the podcast, Steve Titus. Steve was a pretty big figure in the 90s from booking shows (SBYC) to being in bands (No Way Out) he diod a whole lot in the scene. We see him every so often but recently ran into him a the Despair and Union reunion show and he agreed to be on the 'cast. We talked to him about all the good stuff so check this out and enjoy this dive into the Defender of Truth.

Monomaniac is a relatively new band on the scene and they have hit the ground running . We talked to everyone about the band and how they started and what they have going on! Lacy is a Buffalo native who moved to Jackson a few years back and started the band Kicking as well as another band called Clitter Critters. I talked to Lacy about her bands and the shift in culture in going from a city like Buffalo to the deep south. It was a fun chat and both of her bands are dope. Check em out! The draft is back and this time we used Dischord records as the pool
for our picks. Dischord is perhaps the most well known DIY label in
the world and it has had many great releases. We went draft style and
picked our favorite full lengths from the label. There was a little
twist thrown in. None of the bands could contain members or Minor
Threat . So no Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Fugazi etc . So that
significantly reduced what many would pick in a normal draft including
people from those bands. It was fun and interesting and harder than
you think (for us anyway) . Enjoy!

In this episode of the podcast Mark, Chris and D-Spice talked about the Anti-Matter Comp which came out in the mid 90's. Anti-Matter was a fanzine published by Norman Brannon in the 90's and this compilation also came out in that time frame. It featured many of the popular bands of the 90s and I believe that most were interviewed by Norman in his fanzine. Jewel Tomne is one of the newest Buffalo Hardcore bands going and they recently played thier first show with Move @ Timeless Babez. We talked to the both of them about the origin of the band and what they are planning for the band in the near future! It was cool and these cats are a great new band !
