The successor to the Switch should be filled with awesome features and really improve on the previous system. After a rousing discussion of Pikmin 1 last time, David and Jordan decided that it was worth their time to play through Pikmin 2 and talk about it. There are some major differences between Pikmin 1 and 2 and it looks like Pikmin 4 is returning some of the mechanics from 2. We were graced with ten beautiful minutes of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gameplay footage! Of course we had to talk about what we saw, including what we think of the new gameplay mechanics like Fuse and Ultrahand. There's a lot of awesome stuff going on here and we think Pokémon is taking the right direction with the series. However, GameFreak was clearly not given the time that they needed to properly finish this game. It's a buggy mess with all sorts of problems! Hopefully things are addressed soon. Scarlet and Violet are set to launch in just under two weeks! While we love some of the Pokémon reveals, we're still really nervous about how the game will play and how the game looks. We're concerned that the Open World nature of the game will be an interesting take on the series but might fail to impress us or even work with the core gameplay of Pokémon. We're hoping that GameFreak surprises us and gives us some awesome stuff to enjoy! We were surprised with Legends: Arceus, so hopefully Scarlet and Violet will do the same. In the meantime, we're hoping it will be good.

We're getting so close to the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet! The game is just over two months away, and they gave us a new trailer to introduce us to a few new Pokémon and mechanics! With the reveal of all three paths for the story mode, as well as Klawf, Armarouge, and Ceruledge, we've got a better picture of what's in store for us in November. On this episode, we had to talk about the latest news for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The games are quickly approaching and they revealed all sorts of new stuff about them in the new Direct. We have the region name of Paldea, a few new Pokémon, Paldean Wooper, the bike mechanic, and the new Battle Mechanic: the Terastal Phenomenon. Banjo Kazooie is one of our all-time favorite games. We're very nostalgic for the fantastic worlds, the fun gameplay, the charming characters, and the wonderful music. While we waited for big Nintendo News to drop, we decided to discuss Banjo Kazooie especially as it appears on the Nintendo 64 app for Nintendo Switch Online. Of course, there are also rumors that the series might be making a return, so we had to talk about those as well!

June came and went without a big Nintendo Direct. However, we got a nice little Partner Showcase. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet had a new trailer drop this week. There were some big surprises like Lechonk, Smoliv, and Pawmi being the new "Route 1" Pokémon. We also got to see the new legendary Pokémon Miraidon and Koraidon that are clearly motorcycles! Of course, we can't forget the new (attractive) Pokémon Professors that have taken the Internet by storm: Sada and Turo. With the recent leak of the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance emulators for Nintendo Switch, David and Jordan ponder what games would be best for the service. There are the regular staples, like Mario and Zelda, but perhaps they should also add Pokémon and Metroid games!
