This week, Jen and Hayley give you a TikTok Talk segment featuring our favorite girl, Danielle Bayard Jackson @thefriendshipexpert. Danielle posted a video discussing picking bridesmaids when you’re getting married and we have a lot of thoughts. Since our last wedding ep, both of the friends have some personal anecdotes to share and the tea is piping hot. Just wait until the end when we tie it all back to capitalism. You’ll love it.

Jen and Hayley are sending their besties off for a summer hiatus in style. This week, we do some TikTok Talking (shout out to @polkadothead & @savannahamilton11), some Austin Diaries updates, and just a lot of personal catching up. Oh boy, what a week. Jen got back from LA, Hayley has a new therapist, and both friends are stumped by this week’s questions. First, Jen poses an interesting scenario: could they have less friends? What would that look like? Why would anyone want that? And then they move into a very real Demote or Delete: having a friend that is miserable to be around, but otherwise has always been a good friend/person. What do you do?

This week, Jen and Hayley are back with their first ever segment of Demote or Delete! This is the game where you guys tell us about your awesome friendship that has one teeny tiny little problem (like they never ask you about your life…) and we tell you to either demote them to a lower level of friendship or delete them from your life! Fun!

Especially when they are wildly inaccurate? As Hayley says, when will we get some friend representation?? Danielle has been Jen’s dietitian for several months now and has come on the pod to discuss friendship and food. We cover everything from how to talk about dieting with friends, dealing with bad body image, supporting friends in healthy ways, and drinking habits. Danielle has nothing but amazing advice.

She also fills the geminis in on her astrology sign, meeting new people via Tinder, and passion for helping others find friends (#NoMoreLonelyFriends). Jen gets caught in the middle of a scheduling whirlwind, Hayley is chilling in the mountains, and both of them are ready to reflect. Today’s episode was inspired by a listener message about family friends. This relationship is so unique, and the geminis have a hell of a time picking it apart, defining and re-defining it, until it feels right. After the discussion, they move into another Reddit & Weep where they chat about a roommate feeling left out when a childhood friend comes to town.

Jen and Hayley are both socially exhausted. Is it because Jen has a calendar bursting at the seams? Or maybe because Hayley had a party (even though it was a total flop)? Or possibly because neither of the geminis have time to even answer a FaceTime call? Time will tell if this is the “new normal” we’ve been talking about.
