Martin book series, The Babysitters Club follows seven young girls as they attempt to take their babysitting business to new heights by starting a summer camp. Obviously, hijinks ensue and the girl's friendship and business are tested. The movie features future 90's stars Rachel Leigh Cook, Larisa Oleynik, Schuyler Fisk, Marla Sokoloff, Natanya Ross, Austin O'Brien, Bre Blair, Zelda Harris, Ashlee Turner, Christian Oliver, Tricia Joe, Stacy Linn Ramsower. The movie was also written by Dalene Young and directed by Melanie Mayron.1
This week Jackie and Danielle are sticking with their summer theme and doing The Babysitters Club. They were lucky to have actress Natanya Ross join them for a special mini-episode. They discuss her acting career and she dishes on some of her iconic 90's roles. Natanya Ross is an American actress who is most famous for playing Robyn Russo, a regular character in The Secret World of Alex Mack. Ross first got her start in TV by doing a commercial for McDonald's. She later starred in the 1995 television version of Freaky Friday and the movie The Baby-Sitters Club.

This week they'll be taking a deep dive into the camp classics from 1995 and 1994, Heavyweights and Camp Nowhere. Starting with Heavyweights, the ladies recall their feelings about the story of a young boy going to a fat camp for a summer of madness. Then they take a look at Camp Nowhere, where a group of friends con their parents into paying for camps that don't exist for the kids to have an unsupervised, parent-free summer. Jackie and Danielle are ready to hoop! This week they're joined by Jackie's work wife Amber as they discuss the 1996 American live-action/animated film Space Jam. The sports comedy takes a fictionalized look of what happened between Michael Jordan's first NBA retirement and subsequent return in 1995. It also takes stabs at his daliance with baseball during said retirement. The film features the cast of cartoon holligans from the Looney Tunes, Michaele Jordan and NBA players Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues (the Monsters). The ladies have a blast recalling iconic scenes from this classic just in time for the release of the new sequel starring Lebron James.
Jackie and Jackie were so ready to rock their pink and bend and snap with Elle Woods this week. In honor of the film's 20th Anniversary, the ladies rewatched Legally Blonde. The 2001 movie starring Reese Witherspoon in her first studio leading film follows Elle Woods on her journey from sorority bombshell to ivy league book worm. This quotable classic was an easy choice for these Blockbuster gals to choose for this week's viewing. The comedy also stars Luke Wilson, Selma Blair, Matthew Davis, Victor Garber, and Jennifer Coolidge. It was also Robert Luketic's feature-length directorial debut. 4th of July, Aliens and Will Smith! Jackie and Danielle get the fireworks ready for the 1996 Sci-Fi classic Independence Day. With the holiday approaching the ladies decided to rewatch this late 90's film. The aliens are coming and their goal is to invade and destroy Earth. Fighting superior technology, mankind's best weapon is the will to survive. The movie stars Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, Randy Quaid, Harry Connick Jr., Mary McDonnell, Judd Hirsch, Brent Spiner and Harvey Fierstein.
Jackie and Danielle are excited to surf right into their first Disney animated flick with the 2002 movie Lilo & Stitch. Just in time for Stitch Day on June 26th, these BFFs dig deep into one of Jackie's Y2K favorites. Lilo & Stitch is a story of sisterhood, friendship, and what it means to define your own family. The movie follows a young girl's close encounter with the galaxy's most wanted alien experiment 626 AKA Stitch. Lilo is a lonely six-year-old Hawaiian girl who adopts a small ugly "dog," whom she names Stitch. Stitch would be the perfect pet if he weren't in reality a genetic experiment who has escaped from an alien planet and crash-landed onto earth. With his creator close behind to capture him, Stitch must go undercover and live with Lilo and her sister Nani. What he doesn't know yet is that he's on a crash course with finding his very own family. The movie features the voice talents of Tia Carrere, Ving Rhames, Kevin McDonald, Daveigh Chase, and Chris Sanders as the voice of Stitch and the film's director.

The semi-autobiographical film on the Lees is produced and directed by Spike Lee and co-written with his siblings Joie and Cinqué Lee. The film is a portrait of a school teacher, her stubborn jazz musician husband, and their five kids living in Brooklyn in 1973. The movie stars Alfre Woodard, Delroy Lindo, and newcomer Zelda Harris. Crooklyn also features cameos by RuPaul, Isaiah Washington, Bokeem Woodbine, José Zúñiga, and Spike Lee himself.

A 13-year old girl makes a wish on her thirteenth birthday and wakes up the next day as a thirty-year-old woman. The rom-com stars an A-list cast of up and comers of the early 2000's including Jennifer Garner in her first starring role. The movie also includes Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer, Andy Sirkis, Christa B.
