The latest social media platform, Clubhouse, is a good example of NON evergreen content. I'm going to share my thoughts with you on this popular platform... what I like about it, and surprise surprise, what I hate about it. 

If you want to get your time back, you must be thinking about creating content that lives on forever (blogs, videos, courses, etc.).

There is a purpose and place for every platform and source that you choose to spend your time on and publish content to, but, lemme give you something to chew on while you think of more ways to create leverage and get more time freedom.

A leader has nothing to prove… but everything to prove. 

Soooooooo.... basically, you need to be a leader to LEAD your people to victory. One of the ways to do this, is to cut through clutter and online noise and complexities that can easily be avoided, or delegated, or simply, having a PLAN that is set. One of my small victories was developing a simple yet effective communication system for my team.

We are what they are selling to their customer. And the customer is the advertiser.

It's time to change from being the user, to the advertiser - after all - you're an online business owner and YOU need to get in front of Facebook's users.

It's an attention economy. The currency is your attention. We use the term pay attention because attention is a limited resource.

Multi tasking is a myth. We are splitting our attention back and forth.

We used to use technology as a tool… now the tool is using us. We take our cell phones to bed with us; we put it on the table when we're out at a restaurant.. it's everywhere.

  • Higher levels of oxygen (keep you awake and alert)
  • Near Misses - nothing worse than almost winning.
  • Waitresses bring free food and drinks
  • Psychedelic carpets - the ugly carpets are there for a reason, that you cant stare at them for long , you must look up at all the lights and shiny objects. It also keeps you awake.
  • No time indicators - the lights never dim. The party never stops. There are no clocks to realize when it's time to go.
  • Looping hypnotic music - background music with defined beginnings and endings would let people track time a bit better.
  • Maze like layouts - which way is the way out? They are deliberately confusing so you aren’t sure how to leave.
  • Stimulating lights and noises - bright lights and dopamine sounds.
