Marvel Rivals, Red vs. Blue Restoration; Dragon’s Dogma 2 | NRC 79

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-Nineth Episode, Marvel and Netease enter the team based hero space with Marvel Rivals featuring beloved Marvel Characters in destructible maps and featuring Galactus’ Daughter of Earth-610102, Galacta (Yes…this is actually a thing in the Marvel Multiverse, I was surprised as you) in a Overwatch style game, let’s hope it doesn’t end up like Overwatch 2. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a success for Capcom, albeit with massive questioning microtransaction for single player $70 Dollar video game that locks out normal stuff like Fast Travel real hard earned money and the community having enough of it. RoosterTeeth, after two decades, is no more, destroyed by the hands of David Zaslav and his WBD Regime, but all is not lost, while shows like RWBY remain uncertain in their future, RoosterTeeth is going out with the series that started it all, Red vs. Blue, in feature-length film as the 19th and final season titled Red vs. Blue: Restoration, one last adventure, for the final time. X-Men: From The Ashes Relaunch, House of The Dragon Season Two; Star Wars: The Acolyte | NRC 78

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-Eighth Episdoe, The X-Men Rise From The Ashes with a new (and more than likely underwhelming, editorial MCU-adjacent restrained) relaunch for Marvel’s Merry Mutants in the wake of Fall of The House of X and Rise of The Powers of X Limited Series. House of The Dragon Season Two publishes character posters, along with two trailers showcasing the blacks and greens of House Targaryen as the Dance of The Dragons is set to begin June 16th! Star Wars: The Acolyte released a new trailer and additional details along with the reveal of Star Wars Legends’ Lightsaber Whip being re-canon in The New Disney Canon while the fan base remains cautious and unimpressed with the upcoming High Republic Era Series. New York Comic-Con '23, Dragon Ball Daima; Activision-Blizzard Deal Done | NRC 76

New York Comic-Con '23, Dragon Ball Daima; Activision-Blizzard Deal Done | NRC 76

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-Sixth episode, New York Comic-Con happened, and with it, a ton of announcements were made in the world of Pop-Culture!

First and foremost, Marvel unveiled their next big thing panel with big event comics and status quo changing storylines such as Marvel's Blood Hunt and FALL OF THE HOUSE OF X/RISE OF THE POWERS OF X that will signal the end of the Krakoan Era of X-Men that started back in 2019 to presumably go back to the mansion and thus ending my tenure reading X-Men Books.

Comics in the '90s had a seismic shift when superstar artists left Marvel to form Image Comics. Now, in the 2020s, a new endeavor has begun as DC and Marvel lose prominent writers and artists who collectively come together to create GHOST MACHINE, a creator-owned multi-media company in partnership with Image to launch a multiverse of stories by talent such as Geoff Johns, Gary Frank, Bryan Hitch, Brad Meltzer, and many others.

Dragon Ball Daima is the next phase in the Dragon Ball franchise, launching in Fall 2024, that will continue the adventures of Son Goku and Friends as kids! A Redemption of sorts for DBGT?

And finally, after a year and a half, Microsoft has completed the Activision-Blizzard acquisition, and Bobby Kotick is set to leave with his golden parachute at the end of the year. Welcome to Xbox, hope you survive the experience. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

Xbox Email Leaks, WGA Strike Ends with New Deal; Star Wars: Eclipse | NRC 75

75th Episode Milestone! Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-Fifth episode, New Logo and some memes as we cover the massive Xbox Email/Court Document leak, featuring info about mid-gen refresh consoles, new plans for the successor of the XSX and XSS, and plans for big games such as Elder Scrolls along with a desire to obtain Nintendo that came out along with an update with the silent Star Wars Eclipse. After over 100 days of protesting for better conditions, provisions, and protection against the usage of Artificial intelligence in the Hollywood Machine, despite The Hollywood Elites' efforts to break the strike and get deals on their terms, they have capitulated; however, the battle isn't over yet as The Actors continue to fight. Star Wars: The Old Republic, Volition Shuts Down After 30 Years; Final Fantasy XVI DLC Plan | NRC 74

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-Fourth episode, The Old Republic becomes more and more canon as Disney has given an official synopsis of this era in the Star Wars Universe. After 30+ years of gaming content, Volition has been shut down by the embracer group, despite recent reports of Publisher involvement in the development of the Saint’s Row Reboot that led to their demise. Final Fantasy XVI, the game that had catastrophically devalued Square Enix due to their insane expectations on the sales and past actions over the last few years, is also penned to have two priced DLC in their new revised plan after the game was initially not set to have those in the cards! NRC Episode Seventy-Three: Secret Invasion AI Opening, Superman: Legacy Casted, Xbox Defeats FTC

NRC Episode Seventy-Three: Secret Invasion AI Opening, Superman: Legacy Casted, Xbox Defeats FTC

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-Third episode, Secret Invasion happened, and I didn’t watch it, not only because of Superhero Media Burnout but because the opening intro was made from Artificial Intelligence, which is one of the reasons the Hollywood Strike of 2023 even happened in the first place.

My Adventures with Superman has been a critical success, which is why they have Season 2 greenlit and production already in the works; speaking of Superman, the upcoming James Gunn feature has officially cast their Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane with David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan respectively, along with some additional castings that will be covered in a future video after Episode 75. All I can say is good luck to the new Superman and Ace Reporter! On the topic of James Gunn, he had to assure fans that the release of the final season of Doom Patrol would see the light of day despite WBD’s multiple canceling of projects.

EA, with team members that developed Shadow of Mordor, announced a Black Panther video game to be in development! Deadpool 3 continues to expand its casting, with it seemingly turning into a significant reunion of the many Marvel FOX Era cast ranging from X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil as Jennifer Garner returns as Elektra with a rumored Cassandra Nova serving as the main villain in what is slowly looking like a ‘Deadpool kills The Marvel Universe’ adaption.

Lastly, after weeks of contention and stunning revelations, Xbox has defeated The FTC in their attempted Injunction to stop the Activision-Blizzard deal from being finalized and FTC’s appeal also being denied, causing the agreement to evolve from an IF to a WHEN. Much to tribalists’ frustration and chagrin. Oh, and Elon Musk continues to make a fool of himself. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

NRC Episode Seventy-Two: Emma Frost And Tony Stark, Avatar: The Last Airbender; Kraven The Hunter

NRC Episode Seventy-Two: Emma Frost And Tony Stark, Avatar: The Last Airbender; Kraven The Hunter

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-Second episode, The Fall of X is looming for the Mutant Nation of Krakoa…so naturally, it is time to do a wedding when an organization is bent on extinguishing their entire race with Emma Frost, The White Queen of The Hellfire Trading Company, is tying the knot with…TONY STARK!? Yep, the multi-billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist hero known as The Invincible Iron Man is set to marry The White Queen of The X-Men in holy matrimony that may or may not be followed by an ORCHIS raid because weddings in Superhero Comics nowadays must either be mentioned out of nowhere or have a group of villains attack. But yeah, The X-Men and Avengers are in attendance (Including the Recently Deceased Ms. Marvel) for this (obviously political) union between X-Men and Avengers. I hope they survive the experience.

Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action adaptation has the first look of Avatar Aang, who looks more accurate to his OG Cartoon Counterpart than the Live Action movie counterpart, but I’m not optimistic about this project since there are already new animated films and series in the works in the main original timeline which may dilute interest in the multi-million budgeted series that may or may not get canceled after about 2 weeks of Season One’s Binge release given Netflix’s recent years of high budgeted shows ending after only a season. Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal survives the WBD Animation Purge with a greenlit season three in production, and there was much rejoicing. The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage has more details with the reveal of the map scale of the game will be on the level of Assassin’s Creed Unity and Revelations.

Battlebit Remastered, the popular 254-Player answer for Battlefield and Call of Duty’s stagnation and decline, is gaining increasing traction in their early access release. At the same time, Kraven The Hunter launched a trailer set to be produced by Sony for their MCU-Adjacent Shared Universe, and given their track record for films that aren’t MCU Spider-Man or The Spider-Verse animation films, I have very little hope of this doing well, but we’ll see how it all comes together when the film releases in theaters. NRC Episode Seventy-One: Green Lantern: War Journal, Batman: The Brave And The Bold; House Of The Dragon Season Two

NRC Episode Seventy-One: Green Lantern: War Journal, Batman: The Brave And The Bold; House Of The Dragon Season Two

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-First episode, Reddit continues to self-destruct (along with other platforms) with absurd changes due to the rise of Artificial Intelligence, so by corpo logic, everyone will be punished for it. The Flash’s Director, Andy Muschietti, defends The film’s questionable CGI by basically saying, ‘It intended to suck, therefore it’s alright!’, and can only hope his subsequent significant work, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, goes much better than Ezra Miller’s Flash.

John Stewart, DC’s Earth Green Lantern of many, is set to return in a new comic series titled, ‘Green Lantern: War Journal’, set for release following the DC Event Comic, Knight Terrors. House of The Dragon Season 2 is brought up again, with production hopefully set to start soon, showcasing the Dance of The Dragons and the beginning of the end of House Targaryen. Xbox’s Matt Booty confirms that they’re no longer making games for The Xbox One, ending the era of the XBONE as Dan Houser forms a new studio after leaving Rockstar Games since its founding and Xbox Plaza and Microsoft Theater are renamed into the Peacock brand.

David Fincher’s iconic Se7en film is set for a 4K transition, and the director wishes not fundamentally to change the film and references E.T.’s controversial changes with the police that Stephen Spielberg has regretted doing. Diablo IV’s Hardcore mode enrages players with their character’s permadeaths happening in the most absurd way possible: Loading Screens. We learn more about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Fundamental Foundation Changing Expansion Pack: Phantom Liberty and the planned Cyberpunk 2077 sequel! And we learn more from James Gunn and his plans for the DCU and Peacemaker Season 2. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

NRC Episode Seventy: The Energon Universe, Assassin’s Creed’s Rebirth; The Continental

NRC Episode Seventy: The Energon Universe, Assassin’s Creed’s Rebirth; The Continental

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth episode, Showcases continue throughout the month of June because E3 is irrelevant to many these days in a post-COVID world. Such as Ubisoft unveiling Assassin’s Creed’s Rebirth titles such as Mirage, Jade, and Nexus! While The Continental is set for the September in the 3-Part Event Miniseries, controversies have arose with Mel Gibson’s major role casting in an interview with IGN where they go into the detail of planning and producing this event series with potential followups set in the 80s and 90s.

Reddit messed up big time and major subreddits had gone dark in protest to their changes, hasn’t work as well they hoped. Xbox is put to the task regarding its future, the Activision-Blizzard Deal, and the locking of FPS in Redfall and Starfield, and I must say, it’s pretty wacky how things have turned for them, like Disney and their massive reshuffling of film release dates in Marvel, Avatar, and Star Wars stretching all the way to the 2030s. Overwatch (Continued), continues to display their contempt to the consumer and fans by locking PvE story missions behind a paywall after they scrapped the skill trees and original plans that would’ve justified Overwatch having a 2 to its name.

Skybound’s Robert Kirkman’s Void Rivals was released and gives way to a new shared universe of Transformers and G.I. Joe dubbed The Energon Universe, after the licenses expired from IDW and their original Hasbro Shared Universe along with Micronauts and ROM heading back to Marvel, with new titles from great writers and artists such as Joshua Williamson and Daniel Warren Johnson involving Transformers, and Cobra Commander. Ultimate Invasion #1 | Ultimate Universe Rebirth | NRC Reviews

Ultimate Invasion #1 | Ultimate Universe Rebirth | NRC Reviews

Eric Brown of Neo-Reality Collective reviews The First Issue of Ultimate Invasion, by Jonathan Hickman and Bryan Hitch with inks by Andrew Currie and colors by Alex Sinclair! Music by AVI - Mystery Man!

CHAPTER ONE: GOOD ARTISTS COPY / EPILOGUE: GREAT ARTISTS STEAL

THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE MARVEL UNIVERSE BEGINS! Superstar creators Jonathan Hickman and Bryan Hitch team up! The Illuminati must form once again to stop the Maker from his plans to destroy—or perhaps rebuild—the universe, with Miles Morales at the center of it all! Bryan Hitch’s work on THE ULTIMATES helped redefine super hero comics for the 2000s—wait until you see what he and Jonathan have in store for this decade! Including new data pages by Jonathan Hickman—plus exclusive behind-the-scenes material on the world-building that has gone into this project!

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY INTERVIEW

“[Revisiting the idea of Ultimate Comics] couldn’t be replicating or revisiting what Bryan did in the original ULTIMATES—creating a streamlined, modernized version that would eventually become the spine of the MCU, and it certainly couldn’t be what I did, which was a final chapter of a pre-existing universe,” Hickman explained to Entertainment Weekly. “We also thought the very idea of Ultimate Comics needed to be inverted from what the original universe was—we wanted this to be something that could really only exist in the comic space: a new way of thinking about, and enjoying, a new version of the Marvel Universe. I’m pretty happy to say that it feels like we’ve accomplished those things and we’re very excited for everyone to get to read it.”

“It’s been more than 20 years since I started work on THE ULTIMATES, a project that would have a big impact on my own career and beyond, so when Marvel came to me with the idea of revisiting the Ultimate Universe with the man who so brilliantly and spectacularly destroyed the last one, I was both feet in!” Hitch said. “Jonathan is a terrific writer of big, sprawling epics, and we’ve talked about working together more than once so for this new Ultimate Universe adventure to unite us is very exciting. I get to bring two decades of new experience as an artist and storyteller to this. It’s new, different and familiar. It’s big budget, high-concept, widescreen storytelling. I feel right at home.”

NRC Episode Sixty-Nine: James Gunn's The Authority, CP2077: Phantom Liberty; Star Wars Outlaws

NRC Episode Sixty-Nine: James Gunn's The Authority, CP2077: Phantom Liberty; Star Wars Outlaws

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-Ninth episode, Showcases are made direct and move forward, terrible puns I know, with unveiling details and gameplay trailers of Fable, Starfield, and the upcoming expansion pack of Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, which will fundamentally alter the base game going as far to introduce a sixth mainline ending to the game’s main storyline that may save V from death, only time will tell.

Star Wars’ first foray into Open World begins in Star Wars Outlaws by Ubisoft’s MASSIVE ENTERTAINMENT which tells the tale of Kay Vess and her companion Nix, set during the one-year time skip between Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi. Suppose you think of it, with all the added continuity material set between Empire and Jedi in the Disney Canon. In that case, this one-year gap makes no sense if you recall the recently concluded Crimson Dawn Trilogy and the upcoming Star Wars horror event Dark Droids that features galactic-wide events occurring that are never brought up or even subtlety referenced in the galaxy post-OG trilogy.

Superman: Legacy, the first official entry into the Gunn-Safran DC Universe, directed and written by James Gunn, is closing in on the test screenings for the roles of Superman/Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor is now set to not only include the usual Superman Mythos such as Krypto The Superdog, but, in a new report from THR, now featuring some of the members of THE AUTHORITY, a rogue group of Superheroes who seek to protect the world however they see fit, which will raise the question if The Authority is already a formed group or will form up in their titular film, either way, this further raises my suspicions that Gods and Monsters will feature a newly formed Justice League fighting The Authority that could topple the more aggressive, borderline dictatorial, team from their pedestal by the Paragons of Hope and Justice. We shall see in this new era. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

NRC Episode Sixty-Eight: Ultimate Universe Reborn, Justice League: Warworld; Summer Game Fest 2023

NRC Episode Sixty-Eight: Ultimate Universe Reborn, Justice League: Warworld; Summer Game Fest 2023

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-Eighth episode, Hickmania II continues to be in full effect as The Ultimate Universe is fully reborn anew; as revealed in Retailer Conference, Hickman, along with Bryan Hitch and C.B. Cebulski, laid out their plans for the new Ultimate Universe line that will be fully realized after the events of ULTIMATE INVASION with a one-shot aptly titled: Ultimate Universe #1 by Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Caselli, which will introduce readers to the new Ultimate Universe and the new line of Ultimate Comics that will be revealed in the coming months. Let’s hope they rid themselves of all the edgy jerks, cannibalism, and Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver relationship of pure uncomfortableness.

Summer Game Fest 2023 went down in June with a host of titles revealed, such as Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which is now set for Early 2024 and on two discs, much to everyone’s laughter and joy, Persona 3 Remake, and Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay details! Final Fantasy VII Rebirth features new combo moves, a playable Red XIII and Chocobos, along with story teasers of Sephiroth’s Manipulation and Tifa Lockhart’s presumed death, making CloudxTifa fans worry about the bartender’s fate in this Unknown Journey. Magic The Gathering expands further with the new Lord of The Rings expansion, and already the One-Ring card is a bounty worth a million dollars for would-be collectors; I guess Gollum is going to have friends who truly relate to him; may god help us all; while a new survival game set in the universe is unveiled titled ‘Lord of The Rings: Return to Moria.’ Friday, The 13th video game is set to be delisted by physical and digital stores at the end of 2023 as the developer has lost the license. For the first time in years, a new Prince of Persia arrives in the form of a 2D Metroidvania action-adventure video game set for January 18, 2024!

The DC Tomorrowverse series of animated films all have led to this moment, the official formation of the Justice League as they prepare to wage war against the forces of Warworld featuring multiversal happenings such as the wild west, Vikings, and gritty noir in an R-Rated Animated Film that promises a bloody intense spectacle and featuring the Trinity all together for the first time in the new continuity that formed after the events of Justice League Dark: Apokolips War! NRC Episode Sixty-Seven: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Apple WWDC ’23; Kelly Thompson’s Birds of Prey

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-Seventh Episode, Tom Holland, after a grueling filming and producing period of a new Apple TV+ series, has announced he’ll be taking a year-long break from acting to rest and recharge himself for his subsequent planned roles, such as Spider-Man 4. At the same time, Hollywood/Star Wars/Joker Icon Mark Hamill reveals he’s ready to stop playing Luke Skywalker as the Star Wars Universe gets ready for The Ahsoka series in August featuring returning Star Wars Rebels characters and unresolved storylines in the build-to Dave Filoni’s Heir To The Empire Star Wars Film. We learn more details regarding Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse and a scrapped live-action sequence that was scrapped as Captain America: New World Order transitions to Captain America: Brave New World! The FTC charges Microsoft 20 Million Dollars following the revelation of Microsoft’s Account data involving children. Meanwhile, Apple hosted its WWDC ’23 keynote presentation with new updates/upgrades to The MacBook Air, Mac Studio, Mac, and iOS software, along with the unveiling of The Apple Vision Pro, an augmented reality/virtual reality headset gear, priced at 3,500 Dollars so naturally it will sell if the Apple Cloth could be sold at $20 and be priced gouged by Scalpers…god help us all.

Diablo 4’s Hardcore mode before the launch of the game is already getting maxed out 100-level players with a method that is being deemed questionable by the community while revealing roadmaps and two expansion packs for the game in the coming years, but be warned, this IS Activision-Blizzard so don’t be surprised if they don’t keep to their promises. The Japanese Legend of Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki, is coming out of retirement for one last film, titled ‘How Do You Live?’, set for July and using a bold marketing strategy where they do…absolutely nothing but a poster to build for the hype…Bold Strategy Cotten. THE DEVIL'S PARTY

HELLFIRE IS AN ETERNAL FLAME

Krakoa is under siege from the Eternals, who have taken the recent revelation of mutant resurrection as a sign of excess deviation that must be corrected. A faction of Eternals have paired with the Avengers and the kidnapped Mister Sinister and turned the Avengers' headquarters (the deceased body of a Celestial) into a new living god: the Progenitor! But the newly awakened Progenitor has declared that everyone on Earth will be judged - - and if found wanting, all will perish!

STAND FOR JUDGMENT! Judgment comes, and the Quiet Council grows suspiciously quiet. An exception: Do you think a man so devoted to the Hellfire cares one jot? Let’s find out.

NRC Episode Sixty-Five: Superman: Legacy Begins, Writer's Guild Of America; A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-Fifth Episode, James Gunn's upcoming Superman: Legacy, which officially kickstarts The New DCU's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, officially announces pre-production on the anniversary of Superman's iconic debut! The Writer's Guild of America votes for a potential industry-wide strike. Twitter continues to anger users by removing legacy verified checkmarks, only to reveal that Elon is personally paying Twitter Blue for accounts with a Million Followers or more; why he doesn't make yet another colored verification checkmark for the Millionaire's Club, I'll never know. So while that's going on, we learn some additional details of Free Radical Design's abandoned Star Wars Battlefront III as Legendary Halo Developer Frank O'Connor departs Microsoft and Halo for good, the end of the old guard of Halo has arrived as Halo Infinite continues to struggle in its development progress.

After over two decades of success, Netflix has announced it is shuttering the DVD Rental, a true end to an era as they begin rolling out password sharing crackdown in broader strokes. Martin Scorsese's next big film for Apple TV, will be a massive three hours and twenty-six minutes, behind by three minutes to his previous work, The Irishman; imagine the endeavor it takes for these kinds of projects when not just a limited series for premium tv. Ryan Reynolds shares details on Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in Deadpool 3. Square Enix irritates fans with their triple downing on Blockchain/NFT Games...because 'Playing To Have Fun' is a problem for a VIDEO GAME DEVELOPER in the 2020s. The AMC-Anne Rice universe expands while HBO's Last of Us may surpass Season 2 and Part II. We learn Infinity War had scrapped a massive deleted scene of Thanos acquiring the Power Stone. The Marvel Age continues as they plan to publish an All-Star anthology issue titled Marvel Age #1000.

George R.R Martin reveals details on the upcoming MAX Original Series' A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms, which will adapt the compilation of The Tale of Dunk and Egg stories, taking place a century before Game of Thrones where The Targaryen's still rule Westeros before their final downfall, and how they'll film an entire season of potentially six episodes as opposed to just a pilot. NRC Episode Sixty-Four: Halo's Joseph Staten, Star Wars Celebration; MAX Streaming Platform

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-Fourth Episode, Legendary Halo writer, Joseph Staten, departs Microsoft and joins Netflix for an unannounced AAA Game in development. Sony continues to whine as it becomes more and more apparent that the Activision-Blizzard/Xbox Deal may go through following regulatory boards giving their approval over the deal, Resident Evil 4 Remake, which is a remake of a near two decade video game, had a new patch that not only released the free Mercenary mode, but implemented MICROTRANSACTIONS into the predominantly single-player game, I dunno guess Capcom couldn’t let go of doing something shady.

WarnerBros. Discovery, the company that has continuously pissed fans off for the past year of decisions that now is catching the eye of the US Government, has announced the end of HBO MAX, and in its place comes…MAX…just MAX…because apparently, with no citation or market data to back it up, parents were scared off of the HBO brand name because parents are apparently just that dumb in the world of David Zaslav, while also unveiling the prices of the service and productions such as The Penguin set after The Batman movie.

Star Wars Celebration was in full swing, and unveiled a ton of new projects set in the Galaxy Far Far Away, the highlights include the unveiling of AHSOKA in a new official trailer, a new Star Wars Horror comic event called Dark Droids, Star Wars Visions 2, Bad Batch season 3, and lastly, most importantly, three new Star Wars movies set in The Dawn of The Jedi era, New Republic Era and The New Jedi Order Era post Rise of Skywalker, with Daisy Ridley’s Rey returning because the nihilistic ending of the Skywalker Saga wasn’t apparent enough.

We also get more details on Indiana Jones, DC’s Knight Terrors event, Stranger Things and more. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

NRC Episode Sixty-Three: Jonathan Hickman's G.O.D.S, Daredevil: Born Again; The Fall of X

NRC Episode Sixty-Three: Jonathan Hickman's G.O.D.S, Daredevil: Born Again; The Fall of X

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-Third Episode, Jonathan Hickman and Valerio Schiti's mystery project is unveiled as G.O.D.S, as Hickman has described as Marvel's Sandman, which will feature the clash of The Natural Order of Things against The Powers That Be that is promised by Marvel as Hickman's most ambitious undertaking to date, dramatically reshaping Marvel's pantheon of cosmic beings and the entities behind the very fabric of reality. With Hickman revealed that when he returned to Marvel that along with House of X, G.O.D.S was his other ambitious work, drawn and colored by Valerio Schiti and Marte Gracia, respectively; Hickman's next Marvel Spanning Epic will launch in the Fall of 2023 with a preview in Free Comic Book Day. When Hickman writes, you read.

"The X-Men hoped Krakoa would last forever. Time to find out if they were right." was the tease Marvel first gave for the Post-Destiny of X era for The Mutant Nation-State, Krakoa, which began in 2019's House of X/Powers of X Maxiseries by Jonathan Hickman, Pepe Larraz, R.B Silva, and Marte Gracia. It culminates in The Fall of X, featuring a full-blown war between The X-MEN of The Nation of Krakoa and The Anti-Mutant Coalition of ORCHIS as new titles and complete press releases are made at MegaCon '23. It all begins at The Hellfire Gala '23!

Daredevil: Born Again, the next chapter in Daredevil's MCU Run, is confirmed by Vincent D'Onofrio to maintain the violence that its Netflix predecessor had, and along with that, Season 2 has already been planned out by the team! John Wick Chapter IV dominates the opening weekend box office while Jeremy Renner shares an update on his recovery in the aftermath of an accident. MultiVersus, which I must remind all had microtransactions, is closing down of its Early Access phase and re-release in 2024, with no plans regarding refunding everyone who paid for microtransactions and Battle Passes. After multiple dropouts, E3 2023 is canceled. While all that is happening, Liv Tyler, who first and last appeared in the MCU's Incredible Hulk, is returning for Captain America 4: New World Order, as Disney announces the plan to lay off 7,000 employees as part of a cost-cutting measure which includes Ike Perlmutter, The Chairman of Marvel Entertainment, and John Turitzin and Rob Steffens.

Xbox's acquisition of Activision-Blizzard, which has had some uphill battles, namely Sony, gets approval from Japan's Competition Regulator of The Japan Fair Trade Commission as Sony now faces eleven members of The United States Congress regarding 'Anti-Competitive Tactics' the company has been accused of regarding the big sale. We learn House of The Dragon Season 2 will consist of Eight Episodes instead of Ten, as part of the 'Big Picture' approach for the rest of the show, with Season 3 looking all but confirmed greenlit. Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is set for a length of 2.5 hours, and Rocket, confirmed by Director James Gunn, to be the 'Secret Protagonist' of the film, which kinda spoils the idea, all things considered. NRC Episode Sixty-Two: The Ultimate Universe Returns, Xbox-Activision Deal; The Mandalorian Season 4

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-Second Episode, Microsoft and Xbox continue to face an upheaval battle for control of Activision-Blizzard. Many industry regulators cite their concerns regarding a potential monopoly and the fate of the hugely successful Call of Duty Franchise being a potential exclusive to the Xbox Platform. Details emerge regarding Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania in regards to VFX and Michael Pena’s Luis noticeable absence from the film, House of The Dragon gets their fans riled up with the potential release of 2024, skipping out of the 2023 season entirely…despite the fact this was known since the middle of the first season, so I don’t know what the big problem is besides the dreaded pain of waiting.

Amazon’s New World is switching to a seasonal model, and free/premium battle passes as the MMORPG tries to find an audience. David Harbour, one of the main casts of Stranger Things, is ready for the series to end after the fifth season, while Jon Favreau reveals he has already completed the scripts for Season 4 before Season 3 premieres March 1st! Elon Musk continues butchering Twitter by restricting the 2-Factor Authentication system behind the Twitter blue paywall…what the hell?! The Marvels, following the continuing adventures of Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica, releases a new poster and reveals a release date delay to November 2023, while Loki Season 2 and Secret Invasion are planned to be the only MCU Disney+ Content released this, now if only Star Wars D+ Shows did that, we wouldn’t have to have Qui-Gon Jinn actor, Liam Neeson, make understandable points regarding the Star Wars influx of content in rapid succession.

I Am Legend 2 will take place some decades after the events of the first film, more specifically, the original alternate ending where Will Smith’s character lives, along with interesting perspectives regarding the events of the film. And finally, on the comic book side of things, Marvel announces THREE comic book events for the Summer of 2023, a Star Wars Comic Crossover event with a teased ‘First, it comes for the metal’ tagline, while an official next summer blockbuster comic event set in the main Marvel Universe titled Contest of Chaos is made official with another surprising crossover 4-Issue Miniseries crossing over Marvel Earth-616, and the returning Earth-1610, famously known as The Ultimate Marvel Universe, with superstar writer and artist, Jonathan Hickman and Bryan Hitch in a crossover called Ultimate Invasion! And Lastly, DC Comics announces the worst-kept secret event comic for their Dawn of DC relaunch, Knight Terrors, written by Dark Crisis event writer Joshua Williamson and a slew of artists such as Howard Porter, Guillem March, and more. NRC Episode Sixty-One: Tom Taylor’s Titans, James Gunn Ruffles WBD, and Squid Game: The Challenge

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixty-First Episode, James Gunn ruffled WBD Management's feathers over comments regarding the previous regimes of DC Studios, much to anyone wanting the company to acknowledge continuing to protect Ezra Miller has only harmed the company in their efforts to release The Flash. YouTube horror series, The Backroom, is coming to the big screen with the creator in the directing chair.
DC Comics’ upcoming Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent miniseries will return us to the world of Injustice as part of the DC Multiverse and Continuity! Star Wars’ fans rejoice as the upcoming Jedi: Survivor will feature Fast Travel. Meanwhile, Xbox’s Acquisition of Activision-Blizzard continues to face an upheaval battle as the European Union sends a Formal Antitrust warning regarding the potential ramifications. Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 is finally set to entertain the crowd in 2024 as James Cameron admits Jack could’ve survived The Titanic, which took him over twenty years.
EA’s upcoming Iron Man begins production as the Comic side of The Marvel Universe announces an upcoming Hulk Annual that will reveal the next creative team for the green beast. Tom Taylor’s plate continues to fill up as he tackles The Titans, a brand new ongoing series set after the events of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths, where the former Sidekicks take on the role of the next primary superhero team in the wake of The Justice League’s disbandment.
Logan and Indiana Jones Director, James Mangold, is in early talks for Swamp Thing; I think he should also do Supergirl since Woman of Tomorrow is the inspiration for that film. Disney announces sequels to Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia are in the works…while also mentioning mass layoffs are coming to restructure the company, and they’ve recently lost their own district due to petty governor’s horrible beliefs not being backed by them.
Poison Ivy, conceived initially as Six-Issue Miniseries, expanding to 12-Issues by the halfway point, has officially been promoted to Ongoing Status by DC Comics while WBD is planning to keep Discovery+ active for the foreseeable future. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

NRC Episode Sixty: The New DCU: Chapter One: Gods and Monsters Slate Announcement

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Sixtieth Episode, From the days of Crisis on Infinite Earths, DC has understood the importance of new starts, taking our favorite superheroes in unexpected new directions and establishing a DC Universe that reflects the world of today. It’s certainly been true for our comics, and it’s equally true for our many movies and TV series.
Last year, Warner Bros. Discovery, after a lengthy series of pissing off their consumers and production teams along with enabling Ezra Miller, announced that blockbuster filmmaker James Gunn and producer extraordinaire Peter Safran had been hired as Co-Chairmen and CEOs of DC Studios, the new studio tapped with overseeing all DC film, TV, animation and game projects going forward. Since then, following, of course, DC fans having to be split down the middle in drama over the removal of Henry Cavill, The Black Adam departure, and crazy ideas such as connecting video games with Film/TV, have all pretty much been wondering the same thing: what new movies and TV series are they working on?
Well, the wait is over, everyone! Gunn and Safran have unveiled the first ten interconnected DC Studios projects—five movies and five HBO Max TV series. And we’re here to discuss everything! All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

Nemesis Reloaded #1 | MillarWorld | NRC Reviews

Nemesis Reloaded #1 | MillarWorld | NRC Reviews

NRC host, Eric Brown, kicks off the year with NEMESIS RELOADED #1 by Mark Millar and Jorge Jimenez!

MINISERIES PREMIERE! The world’s most evil comic book is back! Who is Nemesis, and why does this eccentric billionaire who dresses up in a mask and cape want to terrorize people instead of helping them? Isn’t that how this is supposed to go? Trigger warning: Too violent and too cool for some!

INTRODUCTION BY MARK MILLAR

It feels weird to reboot one of your own projects, but kind of nice too. Historicall, pop culture icons get a facelift every fifteen ears or so as the Tim Burton era Batman gets replaced by Chris Nolan's Dark Knight or Daniel Craig makes way for Henry Cavill or the mighty Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Politics tends to move in these big ten-to-fifteen-year swings too, as the White House turns red or blue for half a generation, and comics likewise ebb and flow with new takes on old ideas. Nemesis was a book I created with the brilliant Canadian artist Steve McNiven. All my favorite Americans turn out to be Canadian and Steve is no exception! We brought this book out thirteen ears ago, right in the middle of Kick-Ass mania, and it sold GANG-BUSTERS. It was only four issues long, but I think I've signed as many of these as I've signed mv other evergreens like Old Man Logan, Kick-Ass, Superman: Red Son and Civil War.

You can watch fan films online and if vou do a Google, you'll see homemade toys guys have beautifully painted and splattered with fake blood. 20th Century Fox bought the movie rights, first for the legendary Tony Scott and then for the great Joe Carnahan. Once those lapsed it was snapped up by Warner Brothers and it's been written and rewritten over there for years. What's the fascination with this project? How did Steve and I make more monev from this concept than we did from even Civil War, Marvel's biggest selling graphic novel of all time? It was literally just four issues. There's also so man things I'd do differently now, and this is the curse of being a published writer. Once vour project is out there, there's nothing you can do, right? Well, that's the beauty of the soft reboot. Superman was very different by the mid 50s than his Golden Age roots, that new take on the character flipped again in 1971 and John Byrne's revamp in 1986.

This was my chance to bring Nemesis into a new age and tweak the origin, so I had more room to play than the original four issues, and also integrate him into this Millarworld universe we've put together, leading directly into the huge series we're doing in July. Big Game is where every one of our characters cross over in a spectacular summer event drawn by Marvel refugee Pepe Larraz. It's going to be spectacular, and I couldn't miss a chance to do the most perfect version of this concept I love and have the character interacting with all my other favorites. The whole experience has been incredibly satisfying, and I couldn't have asked for a better partner than DC's greatest artist; the brilliant, brilliant Jorge Jimenez. So, enjoy NEMESIS RELOADED and wait until you see where this book, Night Club, The Magic Order Volume 4 and our new The Ambassadors take vou. I promise it's going to be the best money you've ever slipped me.

Cheers for now,

MARK MILLAR

A.X.E. Judgment Day #3 | A.X.E. Judgment Day | NRC Reviews

NRC Reviews A.X.E. Judgment Day #3 and A.X.E. Death To The Mutants #1 by Kieron Gillen!
Judgment Day begins. The heroes know what they have to do. But do they have to do it? They were smart enough to get themselves into this mess. Maybe they can be smart enough to get out of it...
DRUIG, the current Prime Eternal, determined that Earth's mutants represent excess deviation--and therefore, he has set to destroy them all. Drug unleashed the HEX, giant Eternals, to attack the mutant nation of KRAKOA, triggering war.
A faction of the ETERNALS opposed to Druig's plan are working together with the AVENGERS and the kidnapped mutant geneticist, MR. SINISTER. Together, they used the Avengers' headquarters, the deceased body of Celestial, to create a new, living god the PROGENITOR. However, once awakened, the Progenitor announced to everyone on Earth that within 24 hours they will all be judged. And if found lacking. all will die!
The mutants are Deviants. Eternals are coded to correct excess deviation. The mutants are eternal, Mars colonizers, ever-spreading. Eternals know what they should do. Our heroes don't want to, but can they resist the murderous designs coded into their body as surely as any Sentinel? And if they can't, can anyone survive the coming judgment?
The ETERNALS were created by the alien space gods known as the CELESTIALS to protect the Earth. One of the Eternals' chief directives is to correct excess deviation. DRUIG. the current Prime Eternal, recently determined that Earth's mutants, with their ability to resurrect themselves, represent excess deviation -and therefore, he has set out to destroy them all. The Eternals loyal to Druig launched a multipronged attack against all mutants. Meanwhile, a faction of the Eternals opposed to Druig are plotting against him, allying themselves with the AVENGERS, who are headquartered in the body of a dead Celestial.

NRC Episode Fifty-Nine: The New DC Universe, The Witcher Remake; Red Dead Redemption 2

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Fifty-Nine Episode, Samuel Jackson fights back against Quentin Tarantino’s comments regarding The Movie vs. The Movie Star. At the same time, former Black Widow Scarlett Johansson returned to Just Cause for Amazon Prime TV after her early days from the ’95 Adaptation when she was just a kid getting her big break (Man, I feel OLD). Red Dead Redemption 2, having just been declared dead mid-way this year, suddenly surges back up in popularity on PC, most likely due to Steam’s Recent sale. Asher Angel, DCEU Billy Baston, expresses interest in interacting with other characters in the new DCU by James Gunn and Peter Safran, the latter revealing the new dense system of Continuity for the DCEU such as revealing that not only will Film and TV connect, but Video Games and Animation as well, which I’m non-extreme diehard continuity junkies won’t find a problem with it WHATSOEVER.

We learn the would-be Rockstar Games had little confidence in the success of Grand Theft Auto when it was starting out; The in-production Witcher Remake was announced to be a sprawling Open-World Epic much like the first two games. Twitter’s boss, Elon Musk, continues his self-destruction of the platform and makes us ponder what we would’ve done with 44 Billion Dollars. David Cage discusses Star Wars Eclipse and Quantic Dream’s future in an interview; details of Todd Howard’s Indiana Jones start to spring up in the wake of the newest film outing of the legendary game and the Amazon Fallout TV Show. Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Fifty-Eight Episode, Battlefield 2042, the game that was dead on arrival and I have no interest in playing despite people saying its good NOW after a YEAR of release, launches its third season of content that makes me think had the game has been delayed another year, it would've done better for fans. Activision-Blizzard, the company for many harassment cases and controversial events for the past decade, is now cutting ties with NetEase, rendering their games such as Diablo, Overwatch, and WoW unplayable in China by January 2023, Dead Island 2 faces a 12-week delay in 2023 as Phil Spencer explains his decision in delaying Starfield. As the final season of Stranger Things begins production, we learn more details along with the upcoming BioShock movie and the future of the DCEU with reports and updates on Amy Adams’ Lois Lane, Henry Cavill’s Superman, and the potential debut of Mister Terrific down the road!

MultiVersus Season 2 launches with new content and updates. Marvel/Square Enix’s Avengers gets an upcoming Winter Soldier addition to their game as we learn Rockstar turned down an offer for a GTA Movie with Eminem. Disney gets a seismic shakeup with Bob Chapek's ousting and Bob Iger's return to The Position of CEO of The Walt Disney Company. Marvel’s Blade hires a new director and writer, with the star having a role in their hirings while Silk, a spider-man character, is set to arrive in live action on Amazon Prime Video. Elon Musk’s Twitter Era continues to spiral out of control when offices are closed during Thanksgiving week, with signs of Twitter’s potential ending. In the wake of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths and Lazarus Planet events, DC Comics launches the Dawn of The DC Universe in 2023 with over 20 new titles with superstar writers and artists. NRC Reviews The New Golden Age #1 One Shot!

The New Golden Age from DC Starts Here!

Spinning out of the Conclusion of Flashpoint Beyond, The New Golden Age Starts The Strangest Mystery to Ever Plague the DC Universe. From the 1940s to the 3040s, great heroes across the DC timeline take on the great evils of their era. But in the aftermath of Flashpoint Beyond, those heroes and villains will have their lives turned upside down, from the past to the far future. The New Golden Age one-shot from Geoff Johns lands at comic book shops on November 8th. It will unlock DC’s epic and secret-ridden history of heroism, launching a new group of titles with Justice Society of America and Stargirl: The Lost Children.

“I’m happy to be writing these two titles, each one of them focused on celebrating and expanding the history (and far future) of heroism in the DC Universe, exploring unseen heroes, villains, and adventures alongside the ones we all know and love,” said Geoff Johns. “Our goal is to delve into the neglected corners of DC with this new group of titles, from the JSA to the Legion and all those who operate between. It’s the story of where superheroes came from, where they’re going and why they’re always needed.”

DC’s future...and its past...will never be the same again. But how are Mime and Marionette connected to this? Why are Rip Hunter and the Time Masters the most unlikable heroes in the DC Universe? And who or what is...Nostalgia? Don’t miss the start of the strangest mystery ever plaguing the DC Universe.

THE NEW GOLDEN AGE #1

Written by GEOFF JOHNS

After making their long-awaited return in the pages of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #3, the Justice Society of America (JSA) is back in “Justice Society of America: The New Golden Age Part One.” Or are they? A long-lost hero from the JSA crashes into our era with a grave warning...but it’s too late. A mysterious and malevolent enemy has invaded the entire history of the JSA, and an all-new team must come together to defeat it. But what deadly secret does this messenger from beyond keep? Where are they from? And why is all of this happening now? Only the Time Masters know.

Remedy announces Control 2 along with a $52 Million Dollar Budget as The Russo Brothers declare their intention to be away from The Marvel Cinematic Universe at least until 2030; still likely they should've stayed on board due to the fact they plan for the Live Action Hercules to be inspired by TIKTOK of all things!

NRC Episode Fifty-Six: The Hierarchy of the DCEU Changes, Fallout London Cuts; Resident Evil 4

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Fifty-Sixth Episode, Resident Evil 4 Remake unveiled already confirmed cut content involving a dog from the original game that uproars the community over the ordeal. Following Queen Elizabeth II's death, Fallout London announced a previously vowed cut of content from the mod in this event before the game came out. The Hierarchy of the DCEU Changed forever in the wake of Walter Hamada's Departure following Black Adam, as Henry Cavill returned as The Man of Steel himself in a mid-credits scene. James Gunn and Peter Safran were appointed as Co-CEOs of DC Studios to oversee all future Films, TV, and Animation content save for Matt Reeve's The Batman Universe and Todd Phillps' Joker 2.
Meanwhile, HBO MAX's Green Lantern Limited Series gets retooled to focus on John Stewart instead of Alan Scott and Guy Gardner, leading to departures and creative changes. Xbox's Phil Spencer aims The Metaverse as CD Projekt Red made some announcements concerning Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Witcher Remake, and Netflix's The Witcher series recasting The White Wolf with Liam Hemsworth in a fourth season, removing Henry Cavill from the role.
Elon Musk has taken total control of Twitter, and everyone is concerned. House of The Dragon, with a planned Season 2, is set to return in 2024, where The Dance of The Dragons truly takes flight. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

NRC Reviews A.X.E. Judgment Day #2!
...THE WICKED WILL BE PUT TO DEATH! As the world shakes, an unlikely group of heroes and less-than-heroes gather to find a peaceful solution. Sadly, the best laid plans of man, mutant and Eternal oft go awry…
DRUIG, the current Prime Eternal, determined that Earth's mutants, with their ability to resurrect themselves, represent excess deviation--and therefore, he has launched his opening salvo. The assassin JACK OF KNIVES targeted the Five, the mutants responsible for resurrection, while URANOS attacked the X-Men's allies on Mars, resulting in many mutants' temporary deaths. Druig also unleashed the HEX, giant Eternals, to attack the mutant nation of KRAKOA.
A faction of the ETERNALS are working together with the AVENGERS, currently headquartered in the body of a deceased Celestial, to oppose Druig's plan. Along with the kidnapped mutant geneticist, MR. SISTER, they plan on using AVENGERS MOUNTAIN to construct a new god capable of ending the conflict.

NRC Episode Fifty-Four: Fandom Makes Purchases, New CD Projekt Red Games; DC Comics' Lazarus Planet

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Fifty-Fourth Episode, in this episode, Activision's CCO Frances Townsend, someone who was criticized for her comments and actions during the company's lawsuit, has stepped now in her role and serves in an advisory position to the board and CEO (Sadly). At the same time, Tencent plans to expand its tendrils across the gaming industry by buying more majority stakes overseas. For some reason that makes no sense besides Sony being greedy, Horizon Zero Dawn joins The Last of Us Part One in an unexpected remake for the PlayStation 5, which has been jailbroken two years after release!
Fandom makes unexpected purchases by acquiring GameSpot, Metacritic, and Giant Bomb. Michael Waldron, who has written Loki and Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, is now tasked to follow up Avengers: Kang Dynasty with a more significant Multiversal Threat known only as Avengers: Secret Wars. House of The Dragon's seventh episode was known for carrying an old Game of Thrones tradition, which makes the episode too dark, not in terms of storytelling and tone, but in lightening, revealed to have been intentional. During all the corporate politics, Xbox launched a website to showcase the benefits of Xbox buying Activision-Blizzard. They are also faced issues with the launch of Overwatch 2 with DDOS attacks and The National Labor Relations Board confirming that the publisher withheld pay raises.
CD Projekt Red has announced THREE Witcher Games, a new Cyberpunk, and a new unnamed IP, while Cyberpunk Orion is set to have hundreds of developers work on the game. DC Comics announces their next event comic, which, I must remind you, Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths, is still ongoing. It will explore the fallout of Mark Waid's Batman vs. Robin limited series, known only as Lazarus Planet! And in sad DC-related news, WarnerBros. Discovery enables Ezra Miller's terrible behavior by having them return as The Flash for reshoots to the titular film, but don't worry. They apologized, which means everything they've done is a-okay! NRC Episode Fifty-Three: Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Google Stadia Ends; MCU’s Blade Director Leaves

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Fifty-Third Episode, Ryan Reynolds shocks the world by revealing in his emotional video about the production of Deadpool 3, set for release on September 6th, 2024, that Hugh Jackman will return to the role of Wolverine from The X-Men Fox Franchise after being killed off in the emotional farewell film, LOGAN, whom its director promises fans he isn't mad about. They promptly give their massive explanation as to why and how Wolverine is back in Deadpool 3; while that's happening, Overwatch 2 puts new players at a disadvantage by locking out the classic Overwatch heroes unless they complete 100 matches because, of course, Blizzard needs to continuously shoot themselves in the foot amongst the mountain of problems they already find themselves these days, meanwhile, Marvel Studio's BLADE loses its director, Bassam Tariq, due to continued shifts in the production's schedule, which the central star, Mahershala Ali, is reportedly very frustrated with.

Marvel also shifts plans for the Armor Wars Disney+ series to become a full-length film released in theaters as WarnerBros. Discovery shocks the entertainment world with good news and their full support in the Blue Beetle Movie! The alleged 17-Year-Old GTA 6 Hacker has pled Not Guilty to the crimes they've been accused of and awaits trial. With the announcement of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine returning, Elizabeth Olsen, MCU's Scarlet Witch, spoke in an interview about how she would want her character to team up with the X-Men in a future film. And lastly, Google Stadia, the maligned cloud gaming streaming service, has announced plans to wind down and eventually discontinue entirely in January of 2023, offering full refunds to consumers of the service. Oh, and something about the never-will-die Elder Scrolls Skyrim releasing on Nintendo Switch out of nowhere like they're Randy Orton pulling an RKO. All this and more on Neo-Reality Collective!

Gerry Duggan of Marvel reveals his grand plan for the relaunched Invincible Iron Man! Netflix's The Queen Season 5 launches on November 9, 2022, with the debut of Imelda Staunton as the titular Late Queen of England. Game of Thrones showrunners has their next big concept adaptation project going down at Netflix titled 3 Body Problem: "the story of humanity's first contact with an alien civilization," portraying a vision of the future that sees "all of humanity vulnerable to the same external threat."

The Witcher Season 3 is set to launch in the summer of 2023 but with a planned spin-off series coming on Christmas Day of December 25th this year (Guess that means Die Hard will have some competition in the 'What is or isn't a Christmas film/tv event'!) Avatar Remastered Re-Release smashes box office attraction in the lead-up to Avatar: The Way of Water in December as James Earl Jones plans to step away from the role of the voice of Darth Vader in favor of Artificial Intelligence recreating his voice as opposed to the idea of just finding someone who can mimic the voice because massive corporations don't like that pesky human element and the potential problems it causes to their massive coffers. NRC Episode Fifty-One: Grand Theft Auto VI Leaks, EA Motive’s Iron Man; Squid Game

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! We’re back after a brief hiatus to kickstart Season Three! In a week, we’ve got some surprises, such as Grand Theft Auto VI’s early development videos being leaked to the wider gaming public, resulting in an uproar over the quality of extremely early builds of a game not due within half or a full decade from now. Fantastic Four has found its writers and director for the non-origin story of Marvel’s first family to kickstart Phase Six of the MCU and The Final Phase of the Multiverse Saga! Tom Hardy secretly entered and won a martial arts tournament because he’s Tom Hardy!
Microsoft’s planned bid to merge with Activision-Blizzard hits some snags in the slow scrutiny process. Still, it remains confident in the endgame of all this corporate politicking as EA believes in the opportunity for Battlefield in the concept of Call of Duty going Xbox Exclusive as their EA Motive Studio announces Iron Man! And just saying, one of the few praises Anthem got was the flying mechanics, so maybe round up some of the developers of the part of the failed game and craft it for Iron Man. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has done so well for The Embracer Group’s Gearbox Software that Randy Pitchford has declared it a new franchise! Harley Quinn’s current comic volume will get a new creative team in 2023, while Ubisoft confounds people by saying the upcoming Splinter Cell Remake will ‘update its story for a modern audience!’ cue The Act Man’s KOTOR Remake talk clip. PART FIVE: MEDITATIONS ON THE X

THE BOOK OF EXODUS!

Bennet du Paris was born in the 12th century. Exodus marched forth with a sword in his hand and a shield in his heart to protect what he believes. It’s now the 21st century. What’s changed? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And the Eternals who dared attack Krakoa are going to discover what that means. INFALLIBILITY MEANS NEVER HAVING TO SAY "SORRY." The island-nation of Krakoa was founded under the idea of mutant sovereignty and is governed over by the collective known as the Quiet Council. Hope's recent ascension to the council following Magneto's departure has caused quite a stir among its members, but some, including Exodus, have rejoiced. But while the council attempts to navigate their internal conflicts, external threats are piling up. The secret of mutant resurrection is out. Moira has turned her back on Krakoa and, with her new robot body, has sided with the anti-mutant organization Orchis. And they're not the only ones who have the mutants in their crosshairs.

FIRST SHOT FIRED - JUDGMENT IS COMING! The Eternals know that the mutants have conquered death. But what are they going to do about it? The oldest immortals on Earth eye up the newest, and the doomsday clock starts to tick toward Judgment Day.

A long, long time ago, alien space gods came to Earth. They made 100 Eternals. They made 100 deviants. They left. The Eternals have completed their purpose. They're at a loose end. Some have decided to leave their corrupt society. Others have decided to scour another species. It takes all sorts.

Fire Will Reign

Emotional Fantasy Music - Ice & Fire by Solas.

House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series that is a prequel to the television series Game of Thrones (2011–2019), both based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R. R. Martin. The prequel series was created by Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO and is based on portions of Fire & Blood. Condal and Miguel Sapochnik are showrunners for House of the Dragon. Set about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen war of succession, known as the "Dance of the Dragons".

Season One, Episode One: The Heirs of the Dragon:

In the last years of the reign of Jaehaerys Targaryen, the Old King, tragedies took the lives of his two eldest sons, Princes Aemon and Baelon, leaving the question of succession open. Faced with this situation, the king convened a Great Council where all the lords of Westeros would choose their future ruler. Two of Jaehaerys' grandchildren were candidates for succession, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, wife of Lord Corlys Velaryon, the richest man at the time, and Prince Viserys Targaryen, Rhaenys' younger cousin and husband of Lady Aemma Arryn.

By Westerosi law, a male descendant always comes ahead of a female descendant, causing Rhaenys to lose even though she was the oldest descendant of the king. Nine years later, King Viserys I reigns under the threat of the Triarchy, an alliance made by the free cities of Essos to obtain the region of Stepstones. In addition, Viserys has to deal with his brother Daemon Targaryen's misbehavior for practicing brutality against criminals in King's Landing in command of the City Watch. Queen Aemma dies during childbirth along with her newborn son, who would be Viserys' heir. The Queen's death occurred during the tournament held for the Prince's birth, where Ser Criston Cole defeated Daemon.

The Hand of the King, Ser Otto Hightower, suggests that Viserys name his only living child, the young princess Rhaenyra, as heir to the Iron Throne instead of Daemon. After a falling out with Daemon, Viserys officially names his daughter Rhaenyra the Princess of Dragonstone and has several lords swear allegiance to her.

NRC Episode Fifty: Embracer Group LOTR, The Star Wars Universe, DC Comics Going 90s; #ReleaseBatgirl

50 Episodes. 50 Episodes since the show came back from the YouTube Daily News Show during the high point of a global pandemic, but we've reached a major milestone for the podcast. Hours Upon Hours of Content, Tons of Bonus Reviews, and Sponsored by The EveryDayFans since 40. But we've reached it...

The Season Two Finale!

Hello and Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! And boy, hard to believe we've made it this far, and this episode might be the biggest yet since Episode 3's THREE HOUR talk (Looking back, that should've been broken up into three episodes). It features Dwayne Johnson Black Adam drama from a revelation The Rock has made regarding Shazam, a sudden explosive take on Disney Star Wars in the wake of the announcements of Star Wars: Hidden Empire and Star Wars: Revelations in their comic book universe, and further dramas in regards to Ezra Miller and Their Future and The WarnerBros. Discovery Merger Aftereffects (We can't seem to escape all the drama going on over there.)

The CW Network is set to be bought outright. Still, WBD pledges the continuation of Scripted Content on the platform despite cutting 200 Episodes of Sesame Street, Infinity Train, and 30+ Other shows from HBO MAX, which ruffled feathers in the community outside of a growing movement to demand the release of HBO MAX's Batgirl after filming was complete, music was scored, and all that remained was the editing process. Avatar: The Last Airbender seems to be getting a console game soon, while The New Tales of The Borderlands also has a leaked release date in October. Unity rejects a 17.5 BILLION DOLLAR Takeover offer to remain their status quo as The Embracer Group acquires Middle-Earth Enterprises and the video game and movie rights to the whole of Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit as we learn an Iron Man Open World Game was in the works from the creators of Just Cause before Disney and Marvel canned in 2012.

The Knights of The Old Republic Remake looked to be in trouble back in July but now seems to have been moved around in The Embracer Group to Saber Interactive from Aspyr. DC Comics, meanwhile, travels back to the 90s with new WildCATS Ongoing and a second Spawn/Batman Crossover and begins a New Golden Age with Geoff Johns at the helm of a new Justice Society of America ongoing and Stargirl: The Lost Children Miniseries. Final Fantasy Director discusses the franchise is currently struggling despite the breadth of content coming out over the next two years alone, such as FF7R Rebirth, Crisis Core, FF16, and expansions in Moblie and PC Gaming. And Streaming in The United States has overtaken Cable/Broadcast Television for the first time ever in the long history of Neilson.

It's been a wild ride here on Neo-Reality Collective, and it doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon; with 50 Episodes in the can, we look forward to coming back with Season Three, but in the meantime, we'll be back doing bonus reviews for Event Comics A.X.E.: Judgement Day and Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths along with HBO's House of The Dragon. NRC Reviews The Batman: One Bad Day: The Riddler #1 by Tom King & Mitch Gerads!

DREADFUL REINS

Tom King and Mitch Gerads, the Eisner Award-winning duo behind Mister Miracle, The Sheriff of Babylon, and Strange Adventures, reunite to dive deep into the mind of Batman’s most intellectual foe…the Riddler. The Riddler has killed a man in broad daylight for seemingly no reason, but…there’s always a reason. The Riddler is always playing a game; there are always rules. Batman will reach his wits’ end trying to figure out the Riddler’s true motivation in this epic psychological thriller; this is not to be missed!
