Kevin Fagan's investigation on The Doodler
Kevin Fagan is a journalist for the San Francisco Chronicle who has written many articles about the famous killers in San Francisco as well as other parts of the nation. Fagen has a podcast on the Doodler where he does a deep dive into the case almost 50 years later to try and crack the case.
An introduction to The Doodler
San Francisco in the 1970s was a very dangerous place. In the same few months in 1970, there were three murders at large, The Zodiac, The Zebra Killer, and The Doodler. This short podcast series Nyah Simpson and Malina Wong will focus on The Doodler, who got very little media attention compared to the other Killers at the time. The reason for this is because The Doodler killed men who were members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Scot Scoop Unsolved Ep. 5: SF native Brian Egg found dead in fish tank
In 2018, Brian Egg was found dismembered in a fish tank in his home. Only his torso was found, his head and arms have not been discovered, and his true killer still remains at large. The evidence to convince his killer is very scarce as Egg's home was thoroughly cleaned after he was killed.
Egg was a 65-year-old bartender who worked at a gay bar in San Francisco called The Stud. Neighbors claim that he was nice and caring to the neighborhood. Egg often let homeless people into his own home to help them out.
