We went down a Hatchett Games and Studio H rabbit hole friends! This episode we discuss "Vivarium". From the publisher: An efficient and tense card collection game, with a great artistic direction! Each turn players use dominoes to create coordinates that allow them to build their card collection. After 7 rounds, the player that has successfully completed their objectives and collected the greatest creatures wins the game.

And what better way to atone for our transgression by bringing the designer, G.O.A.T., Richmond hometown hero, and President of Stonemaier Games, Jamey Stegmaier to the Undercroft for a little conversation? This is big show folks -- big laughs, bigger guest, all heart. This is one for the books (and a fitting way to ring in our 1 year show anniversary). We have teamed with House Fish Balloon Games to preview their @kickstarter Campaign for 1971. 1971 is a standalone sequel to the team's original Cold War Card Game 1961. It can be played with OR without the base game, 1961. We had a lively conversation about both games utilizing our new tech! If you were at @gen_con or are currently in lines for @spiel_essen -- stop by the @gapclosergames booth and grab a copy of Illiterati (and upgrades if they have them!) -- we were lucky enough to get a pre-release copy and started taking it to the streets to show our area, and now, for your ears, are dropping the show to rave about it. Mulitple plays, never the same, and never boring. A 1-5 player cooperative word game set in a dystopian world where reading and words are maligned, this is an absolutely beautiful game that would make an incredible gift for the bookish in your life.
