Hypnotic Potential with Zhanna Bright Old Soul Sojourn
Zhanna Bright is a Hypnotherapist and Regressionist with a current holistic practice located in Encinitas, CA. Through HypnoTherapy & HypnoCoaching sessions and Past Life Regression therapy, together she helps unearth and release the root cause of the problem. In the past she has been a body work and Reiki practitioner which led her on a long journey of self healing and exploration. She has traveled the world and lived in 5 countries so far, experienced quite a few miracles and met incredible mentors and healers on her journey.
At the end what truly helped her heal was the ability (and patience) to dive deep into herself and become brutally honest with what was awaiting there.
Today she feels content with her life and passionate about helping others on their journey of unearthing their real selves.

You Might Be A Starseed Old Soul Sojourn with Christina Cowherd
Like other Starseeds, Christina Cowherd looks at life differently. As a survivor of a violently abusive childhood, she called on her healing abilities early in life to find inner-peace and the strength to follow her calling as a guide for others. The journey to heal her own trauma, then later, to find grace as a mother to two special needs daughters offers Christina a compassionate lens for working with others. Her business and coaching experience give her a real-world perspective into the challenges and stresses of everyday living.
Christina coaches and teaches clients how to heal themselves and others. As a healer, Christina specializes in transmuting energy, vibration and frequency, enabling her clients to feel as though a significant weight has been lifted, enjoying a new sense of belonging and purpose.
If you are feeling disconnected, living in fear, constantly being rejected and misunderstood, Christina knows how to help you “innerstand,” heal and harness your power and purpose to live an unlimited, conscious, fulfilling and Divinely-inspired life.

Ep. 40 Old Soul Sojourn with Dr. Sunil Raheja
What does it mean to Dance with Wisdom? With Wisdom being a favorite topic of Old Soul Archaeology, I am delighted to have Dr. Sunil Raheja as my Sojourning guest. As an Indian immigrant to the UK as a toddler, he often felt out of place, not feeling that he had a home either in India or in the UK. He realized that while his story was very personal and subjective, this story was also universal. His book Dancing With Wisdom talks about his spiritual journey of coming to know Jesus Christ, and expands on this topic in an inviting way to help anyone (religious or not) find more wisdom for themselves and enter into the beautiful dance of life.
Dr. Sunil Raheja has worked as a psychiatrist for over 25 years, helping those stuck in complex psychological problems and circumstances. He now works as a psychiatrist and executive coach in private practice where he helps bored and frustrated senior leaders who sense a disconnection between their outer and inner worlds, find deeper meaning and fulfillment in their personal and professional lives. He himself, has in life, struggled with depression and burnout and so personally knows what it likes to feel stuck. His unique Dancing With Wisdom Coaching Program unpacks this. Sunil has recently published his book, Dancing with Wisdom, a unique quest to restore meaning, purpose, and fun to your life and work.

Ep. 37 Thoughts on Self-Love * Point of Departure
In this episode I share thoughts on Self-Love. Having recently read "Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It" by Kamal Ravikant, I've been hit over the head (in a good way) with the importance of self-love. Throwing off the chains of labels like selfishness, I am embracing self-love as an act of healing for myself AND others at the same time. The transition in my life has already been profound.
The Facebook group I refer to is called Love Yourself Experience and can be found here:

Tyson Yunkaporta is an academic, an arts critic, and a researcher who is a member of the Apalech Clan in far north Queensland. He carves traditional tools and weapons and also works as a senior lecturer in Indigenous Knowledges at Deakin University in Melbourne. He lives in Melbourne.
Tyson Yunkaporta is the author of Sand Talk: Changing the World Through Indigenous Knowledge. Admittedly cheeky, Tyson's goal with the book is to provoke thought and encourage conversations. In my meandering podcast with him, we end up on a virtual walkabout that weaves in and out of the book topics with our own stories and commentary. I came across his book because of a Shamanism course I am taking and I devoured it in one night! The book is as engaging as Tyson is in this conversation.
Ep. 35 Just for Today * Point of Departure
I find such grace in the idea of Just For Today! Whether it's Reiki Principles or AA's Just for Today principles, or Personal Principles we come up with for ourselves (which I highly recommend), a Just for Today list is a program that can guide us throughout our days with flexibility and forgiveness.
And since this podcast episode is over 2 days late, Just for Today, I will be easy on myself after a crazy week!!

Ep. 32 The Energy of Showing Up
Welcome to Point of Departure by Old Soul Archaeology. My name is Michele Jennae.
As I transition from audio only podcasts to audio and video (also sharing to YouTube) I show up with a digital background as I record in Zoom. I look like Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars if I move to much, but it lends itself to the topic of The Energy of Showing Up.
Showing up is difficult and so most of us do it with masks on. Invisible masks, yes. Personas that we adopt to protect ourselves from the spitballs and darts of judgment. If we really stop and think about it, we are doing our SELF more damage by ultimately denying what we ache so badly to have acknowledged. We must acknowledge first. This is the energy we must bring to showing up.

Ep. 30 Energy of Time * Point of Departure
In this episode, I close out the year 2020 by talking about the energy of time, and how, even as I just did by referring to the year, we can limit the energy of time in our lives. When we cut and dice into days, weeks, months, and years, we miss opportunities. We can fail to see other larger and smaller cycles at work.
I talk about how my year went, speaking in this annual container of time, but I also talk about Expanded Time or the Expanded Now, which is a period of time since a particular past event until the present that is defining your life in some way. Much food for thought here in a short episode.

Ep. 28 Embracing the Dark * Point of Departure
In this episode we meander into the darkness. I talk about how we are taught to perceive darkness and what that does to our psyche, which resides in darkness. Feminine power (yin) is associated with darkness and it's time we embraced it for all that it brings to us.
Instead of fearing the dark, and women, and witches, and our own inner wisdom, it is time to re-enter it. The darkness is powerful, and so is this episode!

Ep. 23 Walking into the Fire * Point of Departure
Doesn't it feel like we are walking into the fire? As I record this it's Election Day in the USA, and as it publishes it's the day after and the fire is growing, lapping at our heals, energetically and metaphorically.
In today's podcast, I share and expand on my Old Soul Oracle reading for Election Day. I didn't ask a specific question and so the oracle led me where it felt I needed to go. As with all Old Soul Oracle readings, they are personal to the person doing the session, in this case me, but often have universal wisdom as well.
You'll not only get a feel for how my session goes and you'll also perhaps find some wisdom for the days ahead. Take what resonates, leave the rest.

You've heard the phrase "failure to launch"? Maybe you've thought it with regard to the life you are still hoping to live. The one where you are full or joy and gratitude, experience success on your own terms, do work you love, give back to the community.
Perhaps you too are suffering from a Crisis of Imagination. In this episode, I break down what the crisis of imagination is and what's causing it, AND we'll talk in general terms how you individually, and we collectively, can address this crisis of imagination.

Raised in the heartland of Oklahoma, she now resides in Seattle, Washington with her family and muse, Aslan the Cat.

Ep. 17 Imaginal Alchemy Part I * Point of Departure (9)
In this episode I share with you my concept of Imaginal Alchemy, a close cousin and complement to Carl Jung's Active Imagination. I meander a bit on the ideas of imagery, imagination, inner wisdom, as well as why those things are discounted in our society.
I introduce Old Soul Oracle as a form of Imaginal Alchemy, an oracle card deck I designed that has no written interpretations but grows and goes with you as you go about your days. Tap into inner wisdom! Engage in some Imaginal Alchemy.

Ep. 16 Old Soul Sojourn - Joyce Slaughter of Mosaic Starfish (2)
Joyce has been a student, advocate, and practitioner of gratitude, she found that there was something lacking in most gratitude literature and practices. We explore her newly launched Embodied Gratitude Experience and how essential it is to get below the surface with our own expressions of gratitude.
We discuss a few of the experiences of her Embodied Gratitude program and discuss how a somatic approach to gratitude will yield an increased sense of meaning and contentedness in life.
Ep. 15 Mind's Eye Meditation - Point of Departure
The mind is fascinating. Scientists have studied it for centuries and still there are mysteries to be uncovered. I spend about 20 minutes talking about the etymology of mind, the four cognitive functions of the mind, often lumped all together as thought, and I talk about the power of imagery as one of those cognitive functions. Imagery is a neglected language of powerful communication and transformation, and you can tap into it's power starting today!
As a bonus, I share a short 6 minute Mind's Eye Meditation at the end of the podcast episode.
Ep. 14 Old Soul Sojourn with Joy Caffrey
Joy Caffrey lost someone very dear to her as a young adult and almost instantaneously felt her psychic abilities open up, going through an interesting death and rebirth at the funeral. Later, upon becoming a mother, Joy begins to feel even more abilities open up as the spirit of the departed owner of the house she and her husband now live in begins to do things to get her attention.
Join us as we dive into how all of this led Joy to the healing work she does today! It's fascinating.
Joy Caffrey is a motivational speaker and energy healer with 27 years’ experience. She moves her workshop participants into their own brilliance with ease, humor, and insight. Her audiences, course participants, and community members feel inspired, motivated, empowered, and equipped to fully engage with their personal and professional lives. Joy has lectured and conducted workshops across the country and has spoken internationally. Joy resides with her husband in Fayetteville, AR.
Ep 13. Getting Unstuck with Point of Departure (7)
Feeling stuck? So was I as I started this podcast, but true to the Podcast name Point of Departure, I started with stuck. From there I simply decided to talk about what a point of departure is speaking in Shamanic terms. I compare the process of a shamanic journey or other venture into Inner Wisdom with the terminology of Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey.
I'll compare the nuances between the phrases point of departure and point of origin and I will inevitable find myself becoming less stuck as I share with you. I hope you'll join me on this 30 minute audio journey.

Ep. 12 Old Soul Sojourn with Benjamin Bubb - Independent Ambient Musician
In today's Sojourn with Musician Benjamin Bubb, we talk about finding peace in music versus finding peace in the world, going "inside" with the music to change paradigms, and how Ben creates his music. Ben also gives us the lay education on what binaural beats, solfeggio frequencies and entrainment are, in addition to considering expanded ideas of what music is. Ben also treats us with 3 short samples of his latest Music Project called Harmonic Resonance.
"Benjamin Bubb is an up and coming independent musician in the ambient and electronic genres, graphic designer, blog writer, and an avid seeker of truth through music’s healing powers. Ever since he was a young child, he’s had an interest in sound, electronic music, art, synthesizers, including the piano. Having never been taught the piano, Benjamin has a unique talent and ability to play this instrument by self-taught inspiration. He currently has many titles of various electronic genres released on digital stores, such as iTunes, Spotify, Deezer & more. His website is www.benapod.com."
Ep. 11 The Power of the Imagination * Point of Departure (6)
In this multi-part podcast we begin to explore the vast expanse of imagery, starting with the notion that we have a split brain and that we only use half of it, and that half not very well. We explore how consensual reality dismisses the other half and at the same time tries to control how we use the rational, logical half that we purportedly do use.
We'll talk about how we actually do use imagination all the time but not generally in the most conscious or positive sense. I'll present my idea of a little I imagination and a Big I Imagination, explore Jung's Four Cognitive Functions of Thinking, Feeling, Sensing and Intuition and contrast that with Stephen Eligio Gallegos' model which replaces Intuition with Imagery. I then present the idea that perhaps intuition is the introverted aspect of each of the 4 cognitive functions, as we can intuit in a variety of ways. Lastly, I'll explore Kabbalist author and Rabbi Dovber Pinson's idea of a Positive Imagination and Negative Imagination and some ideas for healing our Cognitive Ailments with imagery and imagination.

What does paradox have to do with Old Soul Archaeology?
As an Inner Wisdom Facilitator, the very nature of what I do and the tools I use are paradoxical to consensus thinking. I’m going to unpack this a bit in this episode. We'll look at our current predominant mode of thinking, the linear either/or thinking or right/wrong thinking and compare it to a more expanded way of thinking called paradox thinking or Both/And thinking with emphasis on AND!
I'll take a peek into our educational system to see at least in part why our way of thinking is what it is, giving us a point of departure towards change, and I'll showcase literal examples of how either/or thinking gets us into trouble, as well as literary examples of Paradox Thinking for contemplation. Are you ready to Dig Deep?
Ep. 8 Old Soul Sojourn with Ella Bellefaire, Energy Intuitive & Empowerment Life Coach
In this Sojourn with Ella Bellefaire, we discuss coping methods for those living with chronic conditions and illnesses, to include alternatives to standardized approaches to disease. We talk of the mind, body, spirit connection that are inseparable, as much as we like to think they're not.
Ella invites us to explore her Facebook page Chronic Thriving, full of acceptance and encouragement, and explains why she chose this particular name for the group.
Ella Bellefaire is an Energy Intuitive & Empowerment Life Coach, an Inspirational Self Growth Speaker, Self-Love Mentor, & Empath who is passionate about teaching women just like you - how to more deeply connect with the universe (source) & your intuition - by providing you with the tips, tools, & healing that you’ll want to include on your unique journey to your most empowered & authentic self! She says that by developing your gifts, you will then be able to trust in your very own guidance system - and in the tools that you develop & desire to incorporate into your relationship with yourself, others, & the world!
Ep. 7 The Elephant in the Room - Point of Departure (4)
In this short, but power-packed podcast episode, I unpack the Elephant in the Room with the help of the Indian (Hindu) parable The Blind Men and the Elephant. What I refer to as The Elephant in the Room is the topic of Spiritual Approaches and the proposed validity of some over others. More and more people are awakening to a variety of hard-won Spiritual Experiences but the conversations aren't flowing as easily as the experiences are.
Are you opening your mind to an expanded spirituality? Then you don't want to miss this episode!
Ep. 5 The Power of the Personal Oracle - Point of Departure (3)
In this episode of Point of Departure, I talk about how an oracle isn't just a thing, it's a system for communicating with the Divine, and the best part, if incredible, is that YOU are the oracle. Everyone has the capacity to tune in their oracular system to receive messages from the Higher Self or if you'd rather say it this way... from the Divine.
An oracle was considered a gateway to knowing the will of the gods, a cosmic information super highway for understanding what lay ahead.

Ep. 1 My Story Old Soul Archaeology Point of Departure (1)
Hello, my name is Michele Jennae with Old Soul Archaeology. In this first episode I launch ugly. What I mean by that is that the episode isn't a polished book-worthy podcast episode. In this episode, I guess you could say that I share quite a bit of vulnerability in the simple fact that I try to share my story organically, without a plan or an outline, and it's not dramatic or exciting but simply a piece of my heart.
This episode where I share a bit of my history, is a light introduction to Old Soul Archaeology, my name for the quest I believe we are all on, whether we realize it or not, to remember our Higher Self, the Old Soul, the one that is not only connected to Source but is an extension of Source.
Dig Deep,
Michele Jennae
