10 - Going offline
In this episode we talk about … going offline. Two weeks ago I was at a conference [ Her Empire Builder // Tina Tower ] and Tina (who I am a HUGE fan of) kicked off conference asking us, to be present, and I needed to hear that because I was going to squeeze every break to "work" so I unplugged, immersed myself and had the best time, till I came back online and saw the ugliness of the world :( So I took an extra break off socials and with school holidays just gave up and now I am back into it.
Chat GPT saysGoing offline for business and personal reasons can have several benefits:
Improved Focus: Being offline removes distractions, allowing you to concentrate better on tasks at hand, whether it's work-related or personal projects.
Enhanced Productivity: Without the constant influx of notifications and emails, you can work more efficiently and get more done in less time.
Mental Well-being: Disconnecting from digital devices can reduce stress and anxiety levels, promoting better mental health and overall well-being.
Quality Time: Going offline gives you the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends, fostering stronger relationships and deeper connections.
Creativity Boost: Disconnecting from the online world can stimulate creativity and encourage new ideas to flourish without the influence of external stimuli.
Improved Sleep: Reduced screen time before bed can lead to better sleep quality, allowing you to wake up feeling more refreshed and energized.
Increased Awareness: Being offline allows you to be more present in the moment, enabling you to fully engage with your surroundings and appreciate the little things in life.

Same as Ever: Everyone wants to see the future. Few are good at it. From business to economics, politics to social trends, we're just not very good at predicting what happens next.
According to Morgan Housel, this is because we focus too much on what we think will change and not enough on what we know will stay the same. If you traveled in time to 500 years ago or 500 years from now, you would be astounded at how much technology and medicine has changed. The geopolitical order would make no sense to you. The language and dialect may be completely foreign. But you'd notice people falling for greed and fear just like they do in our current world. https://www.booktopia.com.au/same-as-ever-morgan-housel/book/9781804090633.html

8 - Throwback to August 2022
Going back to where it all started. August 2022!
THROWBACK TO THE OG!
Giving our first ep all about the R-Word another spin, on the back of World Autism Day
From August 2022 where I talk about the R-word and I have just shared my ICK about people using the word “Superpower” for Autism (which is FINE) but not in place of the word disability, let’s stop demonizing disability.
Random I talk about Beyonce's new album (which would of been Renaissance) not the cowboy stuff (which I am loving!
Lizzo is also in the media saying she’s “quitting” (she isn’t) because of the BS
Let’s stop making things hard, being inclusive and kind could solve all the worlds problems.

The Playlist: (Available on Netflix in Australia) source: Wikipedia
The Playlist[1] is a docu-drama miniseries created for Netflix. It was inspired by the book Spotify Untold written by Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud. Directed by Per-Olav Sørensen, the series tells a "fictionalized" story of the birth of the Swedish music streaming company Spotify, along with its early challenges.[2][3][4]
The Playlist premiered on Netflix on 13 October 2022.[5]
An aspiring entrepreneur, Daniel Ek, finds an opportunity among the battle between music industries' heavy-hitters and music piracy. Ek sees a solution, never seen before in a turbulent music industry. He then decides to build a free and legalized music streaming service along with his business partner, Martin Lorentzon. Little did he know, that service would "revolutionize" global music industry and face unforeseen challenges along with its foundations.[3]

5 - Wheelchairs and Access
In this episode we talk about our Wheelchairs and access.
Fresh from our Mudgee shoot where we had talent using wheelchairs, it just got me thinking … I am not a wheelchair users so I do feel a little ick talking about something I know nothing about but that is the point of disinfluencer, to talk about the things we know nothing about and that is what this episode is about.

Wheelchairs:
The invention of the wheelchair is attributed to an unknown inventor, and its origins can be traced back to ancient times. The concept of wheeled chairs to assist individuals with mobility impairments has evolved over centuries.
The first known use of a wheeled mobility device dates back to the 6th century in China, where a Chinese Confucian philosopher, Zhang Heng, reportedly created a wheeled chair for his ailing mother.
In Europe, the first recognizable wheelchair was developed in the early 18th century. It is often attributed to John Dawson, who was an invalid from Bath, England. This early wheelchair had large wooden wheels and a platform seat.
The modern wheelchair, as we know it today, has undergone numerous improvements and innovations over the years, with advancements in materials, design, and functionality. The credit for specific improvements is often shared among various inventors and innovators who have contributed to the evolution of wheelchair technology. The wheelchair's development is a collaborative effort spanning many centuries and cultures.

ME: Could you be my business coach?
ChatGPT
Certainly! I can provide information, guidance, and support on a wide range of business-related topics. However, please note that while I can offer insights and suggestions, I am not a substitute for professional advice from a qualified business coach or consultant who can work with you more directly. If you have specific questions or topics you'd like assistance with, feel free to let me know, and I'll do my best to help!
ME - I want to focus on building my SaaS platform, podcast and get my social media marketing and have to try and earn $X per month to break even, what coaching and accountability can you provide me?
Chat GPT: Gave me a framework to check ... not included here
ME: Check-In Frequency:
Given the dual nature of your initiatives (SaaS product and podcast transformation), a bi-weekly check-in might be appropriate. This allows for a more detailed review of progress, challenges, and adjustments for both the SaaS product and the podcast. However, feel free to adjust the frequency based on the evolving needs of each initiative.
Remember, flexibility and adaptability are key. Stay attuned to feedback from both your SaaS users and podcast listeners to refine your strategies as you progress. Additionally, leverage cross-promotion between the SaaS product and the podcast to maximize the impact of your overall brand presence.

3 - Grants
Grants - Art vs Science?
What is a grant?
“A grant is a financial award provided by a government agency, foundation, corporation, or other entity to an individual, organisation, or project to support a specific purpose or activity. Grants are typically non-repayable funds that are intended to advance a particular goal or mission, such as research, education, community development, or charitable activities.
Grant applications usually involve a competitive process where individuals or organizations submit proposals outlining their project or initiative, including the goals, methods, budget, and expected outcomes. Grantmakers review these proposals and award funds to those they believe will best achieve the desired objectives.
Grants can cover a wide range of fields and purposes, including academic research, arts and culture, social services, environmental conservation, and more. They play a crucial role in supporting initiatives that may not be feasible through other means, such as personal savings or traditional loans.” The googles

2 - Talking all things W3 and accessibility
W3 and web accessibility W3.org
In this episode we talk about the W3 and accessibility;
"Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 covers a wide range of recommendations for making Web content more accessible. Following these guidelines will make content more accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including accommodations for blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and combinations of these, and some accommodation for learning disabilities and cognitive limitations; but will not address every user need for people with these disabilities.
These guidelines address accessibility of web content on desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. Following these guidelines will also often make Web content more usable to users in general".
A breakdown on the WCAG guidelines websites SHOULD be ...
1. Perceivable 2. Adaptable 3. Distinguishable 4. Operable 5. Understandable 6. Robust 7. Conformance

29 - DD - Fillipa Bellette, PhD
Welcome to the final episode of Deliberately Different the podcast for 2023. Seems fitting we finish up the year a week before Christmas with Fillipa from Chris and Filly Functional Medicine who are on a mission to end body burnout!
SHOW NOTES
Chris and Filly Functional Medicine:
We are on a mission to change the trajectory of healthcare by creating an effective process to end body burnout - for good!
We believe that our bodies are fighting FOR us, NOT against us. Meaning: your body is always trying to get back into homeostasis.
The medical system (and even - eek - dialogue in some functional medicine & natural medicine spheres) claim that the answer to your health issues is OUTSIDE of your - medication, surgery, restrictive diets, supplements, or an expert to "tell you" what to do.
Yes targeted lab tests and lab-based therapuetics are important to heal body systems (and are an important part of our toolkit). But the truth is: 95% of what you need to heal is already within you. What the body created, the body can heal. You just need to learn how to get out of your own way, and address your deepest root cause. This is what our Ending Body Burnout Method is all about. And best part - it sets you up to be your own self-healer, so you have all the tools to stay healthy for life!

That's why we've made it our mission to offer a range of colourful wheel covers, or spoke guards, infused with captivating art and surface design.
At Colour My Wheels, we are thrilled to collaborate with incredible Australian artists who share our excitement for this project. We've carefully sourced a polypropylene material, proudly made in Australia, that is recyclable and will continue to search for products that are even more sustainable and eco friendly.
And that's not all! We are also offering custom designs, allowing you to upload your chosen artwork and create personalized wheel covers. Imagine the joy of showcasing your favourite image on your wheelchair, turning heads wherever you go!

16 - DD with Rebecca Saunders - The Champagne Lounge
Rebecca Saunders is a Business & Life Advisor for ambitious women wanting to do life and business unapologetically on their terms. She's a champagne drinking, post-it note loving, hair-free alopecian who helps female business owners turn their uniqueness into a super power, celebrate their successes and create dream lives and businesses by design.
At 22, Rebecca packed a small bag and booked a one-way ticket to Sydney with her laptop and just $500. It was here that she founded her first video production company and signed global networking behemoth, LinkedIn as it's first client!
Fast forward a decade and the team operates worldwide across Australia, New Zealand, UK and the USA. When Covid hit, Rebecca had 100% of her production clients cancel. Her revenue hit zero and she told her staff she was closing the business, for good.
But after a week of sleepless nights tossing and turning, Rebecca knew failure wasn’t an option - she calledthe team back in and they set to work on transforming the business.
Ironically, 2020 became her biggest year since opening her business and she hit the 7 figure mark for the first
time!
In a truly incredible coming of age tale, the pandemic turned out not to be purely just a professional success for Rebecca - after 25 years wearing a wig she decided that she was ready to reveal herself to the world, live an authentic life and lean into her own uniqueness!
After a personal move to country NSW, Rebecca swiftly realised that she couldn't be alone in "having BIG dreams, a ton of energy and craving for connection with like minded women" and so she decided to do something about it. She created The Champagne Lounge to give every woman around the world a cheer squad.
A community of women who dream big together, who want to have more, who want to do more, and who want someone to give them a f**king high- five when they make it a reality. And most importantly, do it with heaps of joy and fun along the way. Rebecca now spends her time living her best life, working with clients she loves and inspiring others to make their own uniqueness their superpower.

S2 // EP 7.1 - SRAK - Dr Albert Shun
SHOW NOTES
Farewell to Dr 'Superman' Shun - From the Sydney Children's Hospital Network
source: https://www.schn.health.nsw.gov.au/news/articles/2023/02/farewell-to-dr-superman-shun
For hundreds of families, Dr Albert Shun is more than a surgeon. He is a real-world Superman who gave their children more time and a second chance of life.
Whether it be transplant surgery, cancer operations, or even separating conjoined twins - Dr Shun is a pioneering, world-class surgeon who has built a reputation as a clinician focussed on compassionate, family-centred care.
But there becomes a time when all heroes must hang up their capes and that time has now come for Dr Shun.
Leaving a long-lasting legacy in paediatric transplant and general surgery globally, Dr Shun is retiring following an incredible career spanning more than four decades.
Dr Shun dedicated 45 years of his life to the public service and called the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) home for almost all of this time.
Significantly, Dr Shun was the first recognised paediatric transplant surgeon in Australia and has since performed more than 500 transplants, giving many of these children the opportunity to grow up and live full lives.
What I love about being a transplant surgeon is we’re able to keep families together,” Dr Shun said.

Thrive by Arianna Huffington - forget about the glass ceiling – let's change the system altogether by redefining the very meaning of success at work and in our personal lives.
In Thrive, Arianna Huffington, the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post and one of the most influential women in the world, has written a passionate call to arms, looking to redefine what it means to be successful in today's world.
She likens our drive for money and power to two legs of a three-legged stool. It may hold us up temporarily, but sooner or later we're going to topple over. We need a third leg – a Third Metric for defining success – in order to live a healthy, productive, and meaningful life.
In this deeply personal book, Arianna talks candidly about her own challenges with managing time and prioritising the demands of a career and two daughters. Drawing on the latest groundbreaking research and scientific findings in the fields of psychology, sports, sleep and physiology that show the profound and transformative effects of meditation, mindfulness, unplugging and giving, Arianna shows us the way to a revolution in our culture, our thinking, our workplaces, and our lives.
About the Author
ARIANNA HUFFINGTON is the cofounder and editor in chief of the Huffington Post, a nationally syndicated columnist, and the author of thirteen books. She is also the co-host of the US radio show Left, Right & Center. She was named to the Time 100, Time magazine's list of the world's one hundred most influential people, and to the Financial Times's list of fifty people who shaped the decade. Originally from Greece, she moved to England when she was sixteen and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in economics.
