Season 3 Episode 2 - Celebrating Culture
Welcome to Episode 2 of Road to Equity! On this episode, we’re shaking things up with Raina taking the lead on interviewing Jade and Liyah, along with Breanne Mcalpin, previous executive of the Caribbean Student Association and Kiara Ysabelle Dasig, current vice president of the Filipino Student Association. If you didn’t know, Jade is also the president of the Filipino Student Association and Liyah is the president of the Caribbean Student Association.
This episode is all about celebrating culture and how as student leaders, each of the panelists takes the lead in their respective groups to create safe spaces for other students on campus.

Welcome to Season 3 of Road to Equity! Our hosts Jade Santos, Raina Hubley and Liyah West-Fernandez sit down with Akeisha Lari, the Student Development Specialist - Equity Programs within the office of Student Engagement and Equity in Student Life. Our first episode, The Meaning of Equity and Diversity discusses the importance of equity within the campus community and what the term equity means. Season 2 Episode 2 - The Impact of COVID-19
In this episode of Road to Equity, our hosts Angelique and Nora ask some of our Ontario Tech students about the impact COVID-19 has had on their lives and mental health. In this discussion, students share their experiences and shed some helpful tips on how they are adjusting to this new normal. Towards the end, listeners will hear from Student Mental Health Services about supports and services that are available to students currently studying at Ontario Tech.

Season 2 Episode 1 - The Ryerson Statue
Road to Equity is back for the 2021-22 school year. This year's podcast team includes Amanda Wiseman, Angelique Dack, Binderiya Zayat, Nora Findakly, Rhea Bali, and Shelby Ravary.
In this episode of Road to Equity, Ontario Tech student Amanda Wiseman sits down with Laura Beaulne-Stuebing, a journalist for University Affairs. The two discuss the toppling of the Egerton Ryerson statue, what it means for Indigenous reconciliation, and things we as students can do to help.

In this episode of Road to Equity, mechanical engineering student and this episode's host Rachel Lynds discuss equity in the workplace with Nermin Abdulla. Nermin is a learning programs manager in higher education in the UK and a friend of the Ontario Tech community. The two discuss equitable practices in the workplace, creating safe spaces, and the important conversations that need to be had.

Sexual Violence Educator Tyler Creces and Host Mitchell Ng discuss 16 Days of Activism in our campus community. Alongside Durham College, Ontario Tech is participating in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. In this episode, we learn what the 16 Days are all about, how gender-based violence presents itself in our campus community, and what we can do to take action.
