2x06 - Preparing for the post-pandemic world
In this episode, we explore how we can build on lessons from the present for more effective global cooperation in the future. In an increasingly inter-connected world, what can be done on an intergovernmental level to improve existing systems and better manage future international crises? We discuss these pressing topics with Inge Kaul (Senior Fellow at the Hertie School and non-resident fellow at the Center for Global Development, Washington, DC), and Stephen L. Roberts (Lecturer in Global Health at the Institute for Global Health, University College London and Visiting Fellow in Global Health Policy at The London School of Economics and Political Science).

We talk to Diana Ürge-Vorsatz, Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy at Central European University, and Sebastian Levi, Postdoctoral researcher in the Centre for Sustainability at the Hertie School, about the different aspects of the crisis, the steps taken by the EU to tackle the crisis and the challenges to implement these steps.

We talk about the role of collaboration and innovation in research, and how the recently-launched project CIVICA Research can become a positive driver for national academia.

We talk to experts Simon Hix (Pro-Director for Research and Harold Laski Professor of Political Science, the London School of Economics) and Carsten Schneider (Professor in the Political Science Department, Central European University) about the development of the social sciences as a discipline, their key role in solving societal issues, and about CIVICA's research agenda.

In this episode, we talk to Alexandru Mihai Ghigiu (Vice-Rector and Professor of EU policies, SNSPA) and three CIVICA master's students in international relations to explore Europe's relationship with the rest of the world, past, present and future.
1x03 - The labour market in a time of crisis
In this episode we explore how the economy behaves in difficult times, particularly during the COVID-19 crisis. With the help of macroeconomists Thomas Le Barbanchon (Associate Professor, Bocconi University) and Cristina Lafuente (Max Weber Fellow, European University Institute), we try to understand the effects of such a crisis on the labour market. We also talk to career development expert Anna von Behr (Hertie School) about entering the labour market during a time of crisis.
1x02 - Diversity and inclusion in Europe
In this episode we explore the concepts of diversity and inclusion in a European context. With the help of experts such as behavioural science professor Grace Lordan (LSE) and associate researcher and senior lecturer Maxime Forest (Sciences Po), we understand the nuances of these concepts. Students from CIVICA members Bocconi University, Sciences Po and Stockholm School of Economics share their views on diversity and inclusion.
1x01 - Being European
In this episode, we explore the concept of 'European identity'. We try to understand what it means to be European. We talk about the evolution of European identity with Prof. Frank Schimmelfennig (visiting professor, Hertie School). Then, we discuss the experience of being European with three students from CIVICA members Bocconi University, Central European University and the Hertie School.
