Episode 102. The Unsolved Murders of Barry and Honey Sherman and Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, Illinois
On December 15, 2017, Barry and Honey Sherman were discovered dead, hanging from the railing of their indoor pool. Initially, it was believed to be a murder-suicide, but the circumstances of the death scene raised many concerns for investigators. As the Toronto-based couple was well-known and affluent, many people had a motive to harm Barry. Furthermore, the injuries sustained by both Barry and Honey were unexplainable and pointed towards a murder scene rather than a suicide. Will the killer or killers ever get caught?
Then, Sandra talks about the Lincoln Park Zoo located in Chicago Illinois. The zoo opened in 1868 and the first two animal residents were two white swans that the zoo received from New York's Central Park. It turns out that the zoo was actually built on the site of what was formerly known as the Chicago City Cemetery. Due to it being built on a cemetery, the zoo has a few ghostly spirits that also look at the animals. These spirits include apparitions of people dressed in Victorian-styled clothing and there is one particular patron that is most commonly seen in the lion's exhibit.

Episode 100. The Tragic Story of Anneliese Michel and Granary Burying Ground in Boston
Woo! Episode 100! Cheers to hundreds more. Imagine us holding flutes filled with champagne.
Danielle kicks off this episode on a somber note with the tragic tale of Anneliese Michel. A young woman from a devoutly religious household in Bavaria who underwent 67 exorcisms. She suffered from epilepsy and often experienced hallucinations as well as hearing voices. She became convinced she was possessed and had to convince a priest to agree to conduct the exorcisms. Her family willingly supported this plan, but unfortunately, this led to her swift demise. The story of Anneliese Michel was the inspiration for the film, The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
Later, Sandra talks about one of her favorite places in Boston: the Granary Burying Ground in Boston. The Granary Burying Ground is located on Tremont Street near the Park Street station and the Boston Common. It was founded in 1660 and today is known for having very famous people buried such as Paul Revere and Sam Adams. There is also one local spirit that still roams the grounds.

Episode 99. The Haunting of St. Augustine Lighthouse, FL and the Disappearance of Natalee Holloway Part 2
In this week's episode, Sandra talks about the St. Augustine Lighthouse located in St. Augustine Florida. The lighthouse was built between 1871 and 1874. Today it is open to the public and has several non-profits connected to the lighthouse. It is said that the lighthouse itself is haunted by several spirits, including a group of three sisters known as the Pittee girls and a spirit known as "The Man." Supposedly sightings of the Pittee girls date back to the 1960's. The lighthouse has also been host to several tv series including Ghost Hunters and The Most Terrifying Places in America.
Then, Danielle wraps up the 2nd part of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Find out how truly sketchy of a character Joran van der Sloot is by his lack of empathy and misdirected anger.

A case largely covered by the media almost immediately after Natalee, an American senior in high school vanished while on a school trip in Aruba. Stay tuned for part two!

Although the town is small with only a little over 1900 people living there according to the 2010 census, the town is known for one particular legend that involves the lake. Legend has it that the lake is haunted by a young Native American couple who ran away from the tribe and jumped into the lake. Today people say that during the Spring months, there are mournful and haunting sounds that can be heard from the lake.

As Gypsy Rose grew older she sought independence from her mother in the only way she thought possible...

Ep. 83 Why Do Witches Ride Brooms and the Ruby Ridge Shoot Out

It turns out that the history of the witch's broom started back in 1453 when Guillaume Edelin who was a priest from Saint-Germain-en- Laye near Paris confessed to riding a broom. There are those that believe that the witch's broom is also connected to pagan fertility rituals, and because women would use brooms to signal to others that they were away from their homes. They would either place them in the fireplace or outside their door. Regardless of how the idea started, it is no secret that today when you ask someone to think of an image of a witch, they almost always have a broom.
Then, Danielle discusses Ruby Ridge. A shooting in Idaho between the U.S. Federal government and the Weaver family resulted in several deaths considered unnecessary.

This week Danielle discusses a recently solved cold case. The murder of 11-year-old, Melissa Tremblay. Her body was found the day after she went missing in Lawrence, MA in 1988. A former corrections officer was arrested last month as the primary suspect. Shoutout to Sandra for being on top of all the cold cases which are now being closed.
Then, Sandra talks about planchettes. It turns out that Planchettes first became popular in the Victorian era. Over time they slowly became obsolete due to the invention of the ouija board. Although you can still find them today, either featured on popular shows like "Ru Paul's Drag Race" or at local shops in Salem, MA.

Ep. 57 National Paranormal Day and Conman Thierry Tilly
Then, Danielle discusses a recent con that took place in France. Thierry Tilly targeted an affluent family, the Vedrines. He managed to isolate them from the public and brainwashed the family into thinking they were in danger. In order for Theirry to protect the family, they had to routinely provide him with money. This went on for years until he was finally arrested.

Ep. 56 Danvers State Hospital
Welcome back! Today Sandra and I combined efforts yet again the dive into the horrific history of Danvers State Hospital. Think of One Flew Over a Cuckoo's Nest, but without Jack Nicholson. Hear about the severe lack of funding and resources provided by the state of Massachusetts. This ultimately led to a sharp decline in the patients' care. The hospital fell into such bad shape that patients were buried in nearby cemeteries with numbers as markers instead of their own names.
Sandra talks about the ghosts of Danvers State Hospital. From seeing creepy shadows, to hearing disembodied voices. It is no secret that a place with such a sad history would still have patients that have not checked out yet.

Ep. 55 Lady of the Lake and Evil Doctor, Carl Tanzler
In this week's episode Sandra talks about The Lady of the Lake. Today the Lady of the Lake is most known for being connected to other legends such as King Arthur, Lancelot, and Morgan Le Fay. However, there is more to her than meets the eye. Find out more about her history, and how there are many lakes today that are considered to be her lake.
Later, Danielle tells a gruesome and disturbing story. Carl Tanzler was a doctor who became obsessed with a patient suffering from tuberculosis. Despite Tanzler's lack of medical training in treating tuberculosis, he was determined to treat Maria. His homemade tonics were unable to save Maria, and she ultimately died. Hear how the creepiness gets worse and worse from here.

Ep. 54 The Disappearance of Dorothy Forstein and Real Doppelganger Stories
Danielle covers the disappearance of Dorothy Forstein, an unsolved crime. Based out of Philadelphia, Dorothy did not possess any enemies and was well-liked by friends and neighbors. The only potential motive formulated by police was that Dorothy was abducted by someone who held a grudge against her magistrate husband, Jules Forstein. Four years after getting brutally attacked in her own home, Dorothy was never seen again after her daughter was woken in the night and saw her mother getting carried out of their house by an unknown man.
Later, Sandra talks about more haunted house stories from the popular website Reddit. However, this week has a theme, and that theme is Doppelgangers. Find out both the history of doppelgangers and form your own conclusions on whether or not you think that doppelgangers are evil, or just random people that may look like or are similar to yourself.

Ep. 53 Haunted Houses and Stagecoach Mary
In this week's episode, Sandra talks about haunted house stories found on the popular website Reddit. Inspired by two listener stories, these stories range from weird noises to knocking to even a supposed haunted painting.
Later, Danielles discusses Mary Fields, also known as Stagecoach Mary and Black Mary. She was the first African-American female star-route mail carrier in the United States. She protected the mail from potential thieves and even scared off a pack of wolves. Known for her proclivity for hard liquor and gunfights, she was a woman ahead of her time.
