Oh hey there!

This week, Cheyenne recommends a few sci-fi, and fantasy works that she thinks you should read.  Let's get pages ahead!

The three novels referenced are listed below:

🌎 More Than This by Patrick Ness - Seth, an adolescent who believes he is dead, awakens in what he considers to be his own living hell. Seth is unaware of what is happening at his boyhood home. Everything in his former neighborhood appears to have been abandoned for years, and he appears to be utterly alone. The surroundings are overgrown and dusty, but the oddest aspect is the memories. Nearly everything is connected to Seth's younger brother and his deepest secrets, which were no longer mysteries when he passed away, which are the things he appears to be avoiding the most. What was so terrible that Seth's family traveled across the ocean to escape it? Answers emerge until Seth meets Regine and Tomasz, who also assert their deaths. New questions arise.  Everything leaves them thinking, that there has to be more than this. Overall: 4/5 Stars Characters: 3/5 Setting: 4/5 Writing: 5/5 Plot and Themes: 4/5 Genre: Science Fiction, YA, Fantasy, LGBTQ
🌎 Delirium by Lauren Oliver - In a different version of the United States, love has been classified as a hazardous sickness, and anybody who turns 18 is required to undergo a surgery known as the Cure. Lena Haloway looks forward to getting treated and leading a secure, predictable life. She now resides in Portland, Maine with her aunt, uncle, and cousins. She saw love kill her mother, and she's not ready to make the same error. But with 95 days before her treatment, Lena meets mysterious Alex, a Wilds teen who lives beneath the government's radar. In the unlikely event that they fall in love, what will happen?
