Ep.14 Bonus: The end of Hot Desks and Co-Working Spaces
What is a Hot Desk? You pay a membership that gives you access to a desk in an open space of a co-working space. You are required to clear up your stuff at the end of the day because it's very likely that someone else will be sitting there the day after. Very pandemic-spread-friendly; that's the reason why you have seen co-working spaces closing one by one recently. On another note, it became more controversial and seriously annoying when big companies started doing that with their own employees... Ep.13 Expert Insight: The modular office with Studio C.A.R.E
Is a walk to brainstorm your project still accepted when you are back to the office or should you stay at your desk all day long to show how productive you are? In today’s episode I am speaking with Christine van Meegen and Sebastian Kubersky from Studio C.A.R.E. As a designer and artist, space means more to them than simply bringing in nice furniture. The modular furniture they create opens up the floor to a discussion around how to regain control over your workspace. A new innovative office environment does not help if people continue following old work conventions in them. Instead Studio C.A.R.E follows the approach to invite employees in to discuss their routines and how to connect to the new space. Ep.11 Hot Topic: From home to hybrid office: How to transition as an employee
How do you imagine working now that society is slowly opening up again? This might depend very much on the experiences you made during the pandemic. Did you spend your mornings in quietness with a blanket and tea in front of your computer at home? Or was your kitchen table supposed to be your focus space but then turned into the headquarters of managing your family? In a study conducted by DNB Næringsmegling among 25 companies with the largest office uses in Norway, 56% said that they would like to work remotely for two days a week. A recent McKinsey study showed that 40% of employees had not been informed about any vision yet from their organizations and 28% found the information they were given rather vague. But even if circumstances are frequently changing, organizations should communicate clearly with their employees. You might have heard of the “hybrid office” model which allows your employees to be more flexible about where they work from. This article is all about how to make it happen. Ep.9 Bonus: How a hotel unlocked the full potential of its kitchen
You have heard the success stories of our Tenants but let´s hear the one of our Host, Ola Thorsen, the general manager of PS Hotel, which is part of Nordic Choice Hotel, one of the leading hotel chains in the Nordics. Ola has been working in the hospitality industry for most of his adult life and has seen all aspects of it: the great and the challenging. The pandemic brought another level of complexity to find the right equation to ensure quality and profitability. The kitchen was always the tricky part: they guarantee a great breakfast or brunch to their guests but are less competitive when it comes to dinner service since they are located right next to a super popular food court offering plenty of cool options. So the question was: how to optimize this dormant asset? This is where Paguro appeared in the equation: we came to them and explained the Ghost kitchen concept. Today's episode might help some of you, Tenants and Hosts, to answer your concerns and get your checklist ready to jump on board a ghost kitchen booking or listing.
