2.3 The Power to Conceive

2.3 The Power to Conceive

Would it put your mind at ease to know God is the one working in you to bring about the fulfillment of your dreams?

In an age where people are always talking about applying pressure, it can be easy to believe that you are the one who has to do all the heavy lifting. But in today's message we're reminded that God is the one who is at work in us to will and to work for His good pleasure and as long as we find our confidence in Him we can maintain the courage to keep pushing through all of life's situations.

2.2 The Struggle to Believe

2.2 The Struggle to Believe

On the second episode of season 2 we're talking about the struggle to believe. It's one thing to hear a word from God but it's another to actually accept it and walk in the power He's given you to see your faith activated.

We'll look at Mary and how she responded to the news that as a virgin she would become the mother of a newborn king.

How do you respond when you receive news you weren't expecting?

I Stopped Praying

I Stopped Praying

After almost a year and a half I’m back with a new episode of the Pain and Purpose Podcast! I’m sharing a big reason I stepped away - namely my heart was broken from hope deferred and I felt like God owed me something! In seasons when God seems to be unresponsive to our requests it’s very easy to become discouraged but my hope is that through listening to this episode you’ll find the strength to keep going.

Tiffany Huff-Strothers is a wife, mother, and woman of faith.  She is called to minister and mentor women and passionate about helping women reinvent themselves following their worst setbacks to make major impact.  She lives out her calling as an evangelist, Award-Winning Author, sought after speaker, coach and Domestic Violence Survivor & Advocate.

Tiffany recognized her gift to uplift at a very early age, as her family became the billboard example for the epidemics plaguing the black community: drug abuse, single parenthood, gangs, poverty, and divorce.  Nonetheless, Tiffany became the first in her family to graduate college and received numerous scholarships, including one from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to attend graduate school. in the midst of her graduate studies, she found herself in a relationship she had no idea how to end, and seemingly suddenly went from hardworking, mother and student to heartbroken and homeless after being shot by her first love.

Refusing to accept her worst setback as defeat she began a journey of reinvention and has become the go-to for other women on the journey to the same.  Tiffany’s resilience and resourcefulness are known to be a catalyst for changing lives after every single encounter. She is The Founder & Director of When She Thrives, a nonprofit with the mission to break generational cycles of single motherhood.
