Episode 7 - An Interview with the co-creators of Brothers and Co, Zachary and Seth Pacleb

Michael interviews Zachary and Seth Pacleb co-creators and co-owners of Brothers and Co. a unique and socially conscious culinary endeavor in which they take notes from street food from around the world to modern cuisine all to create a “mish-mash” of flavors to be enjoyed wherever you are. Recorded on May 5th - Michael talks to Beth Barrett, SIFF's Artistic Director, about having to cancel the 2020 Seattle International Film Festival that would have been taking place this month and about how the organization is adapting to the new realities of theater closures and the sheltering-in-place of their members and patrons. Episode 5: An interview with critical care pulmonologist Will Boyan and PAPR DIY developer Leah Boyan
Michael interviews husband and wife, Will and Leah Boyan, about the shortage of PAPRs (Powered Air-Purifying Respirators) during this time of high demand for these particular PPEs in Will's work as a critical care pulmonologist and Leah's project of making and distributing PAPR masks and making the pattern and construction guidelines available through her website sewcialdistancing.org.
Another helpful website mentioned in the interview with Leah is stopthebug.org, an organization she has been working closely with in her PAPR project.

Michael interviews his sister, Susie Welty, who works in epidemiology of infectious diseases. Among other things they talk about the work that is being done to track Covid-19 through Contact Tracing. Susie is the Deputy Director of Surveillance in the Global Strategic Information Group at UCSF

In this episode Michael interviews his friend, virus researcher Semih Tareen, about the Sars-CoV-2 virus and the Covid-19 pandemic. Semih is the Senior Director of Gene Therapy at a biotech company in Seattle and he has over 20 years experience researching viruses. He also has a YouTube vlog project called Virus Fantom.
