a recent study of all 50 U.S. states to determine which ones were the best and which ones were the worst for entrepreneurs wanting to start and maintain a successful business. The study analyzed states in terms of 21 factors, ranging from socio-economic factors such as the five-year increase in working-age population, unemployment and labor force participation rates, to factors more specifically focused on entrepreneurial activity, such as the rate of new entrepreneurs, the opportunity share of new entrepreneurs (the percentage of entrepreneurs who said they started their business out of opportunity rather than necessity) and startup survival rates, sourced from the Kauffman Indicators of Entrepreneurship.

The activation of Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund is designed to provide  resources to nonprofit organizations in Northeast Florida working to meet unmet critical needs of residents who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of this outbreak.

Critical needs are rapidly emerging, and will continue to evolve. The Relief Fund will provide flexible resources to nonprofits in our region responding to urgent needs resulting from COVID-19 disruption that are not being met by other funding sources. At this time the First Coast Relief Fund focus areas will include:

• Food assistance, non-food items and supplies for agency and low-income individuals and families who are food insecure due to job losses, school closings, etc.
• Short term housing assistance to support shelters to safely distance residents and prevent the spread of COVID-19
• Financial assistance for individuals and families impacted by the crisis to help meet their basic household needs
• Childcare support for first responders and other front-line staff working to prevent the spread of the virus
• Medical, safety supplies, and equipment for community-based service providers as they carry out essential community services
• Technology support for nonprofits to enable remote work and continued delivery of services

When you have did the crime and paid the time and change your entire life society still have many to continue serving perpetual life sentences when access to opportunities are denied.

USPTO announces extension of certain patent and trademark-related timing deadlines under the Coronavirus Aid,     Relief, and Economic Security Act

"Inventors and entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of our economy, and we recognize that many of them are having difficulty as a result of COVID-19," said Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office Andrei Iancu. "As a result, we are working to provide as much relief as possible to our stakeholders, consistent with our ability to maintain the USPTO’s fee-funded operations. We are especially mindful of the outsized impact on small businesses and independent inventors, and we have provided additional relief for these groups. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure not only that inventors and entrepreneurs can weather the storm, but that they can also hit the ground running once it passes."

The USPTO has made operational adjustments to keep its employees and the public safe as it remains open for business. In-person meetings, such as hearings and examiner interviews, are being conducted virtually by phone and video until further notice.
