I answer these questions, along with his childhood, life in France, his relationship with George Washington, and his lasting impact on America in this episode.

After scouring court transcripts, actual documents from the lawyers and notes of the trial, witness statements and about 8 hours of research, I do my best to paint a vivid picture for you of what truly happened and why.

I hope you enjoy this very interesting bonus episode (my third), where we discuss John Dickinson. John Dickinson was known as the "penman of the Revolution" as he was involved with writing and editing so many important documents. He may be best known for the pamphlet he wrote, which was a series of 12 letters, which inspired colonists abroad to do something about the tyranny taking place. The letters, and pamphlet, were called, "Letters From A Farmer In Pennsylvania.

Episode 10 • The Townshend Acts, The Quartering Act & Boston Reaches Boiling Point • American Revolution, Founding Fathers and More
Hello Fellow Patriots!
It's hard to fathom that England continued, time and time again, to impose Acts (laws, taxes, show of power) on the colonists. I understand that being in "control' of the colonies from 3,000 miles away was tough, but they continued to declare and enforce (or try to) Act after Act after Act. We are at the point of the story where it's about to explode into violence.
In this show I cover some of the Acts, the response and results from them, and one in particular that made Boston reach their limits.
Hang on tight, tensions are at the max and my next show is going to cover the occupation of Boston and the Boston Massacre.

Episode 03 • French and Indian War - Patriot Power Podcast - American Revolution, Founding Fathers
The Seven Years' War, also known as the French and Indian War in the colonies, lasted from 1756 to 1763, forming a chapter in the imperial struggle between Britain and France. Both were doing all they could to gain control of the Ohio Valley and add to their respective empire.
In the early 1750s, France’s expansion into the Ohio River valley repeatedly brought with it conflict in the British colonies, especially Virginia. In 1754, the French built Fort Duquesne where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers joined to form the Ohio River (in today’s Pittsburgh), making it a strategically important stronghold that the British repeatedly attacked.
We discuss how George Washington and his party started the war, how he faired during his first military experience, and how he regained some momentum during a slaughter at Braddock's defeat and provide an overall summation of the war, the people involved, and the aftermath it left.
Episode 02 • England Background - Patriot Power Podcast - American Revolution, Founding Fathers and More
Overview of the People and Land of England
Today we discuss what it was like living in England during the 1700’s and during the colonization. Last week we did this with the 13 colonies and having a solid foundation and concept of both countries' moods, positions, attitudes, political climate, living conditions and more allows us to have a glimpse into what it was like back then. It also helps us comprehend what was going on in their minds and why things progressed in the manner it did.

Episode 01 • Colonial Background • Patriot Power Podcast • American Revolution, Founding Fathers and More
Hello Patriots!
We are a little ways before we get into the war, and many people living in the time would separate the actual fighting in the war and the revolution, considering each of them separate events. It’s important to have the background of the people who came to colonize North America, what it was like back then, who lived in these colonies, and get a real sense of the people and who they were.
Learn who and why people risked so much to come to the 13 colonies, what would soon become the United States of America.

Introduction • American Revolution, Founding Fathers and More
When you think of the American Revolution, what comes to mind? The war, George Washington, Redcoats and maybe even the Boston Tea Party and Declaration of Independence perhaps. These are all part of it but it is far more complex and super interesting and important. It’s more than just famous names and documents and battles, and in more ways than not, the American Revolution wasn’t just a war. If you went back to the period of the Revolution and you asked people their perspective, many of them would tell you that the war, the actual fighting, was only a minor part of the American Revolution.
We of course will be covering the famous and well known people, documents, and battles, but also there are many that aren’t known so those will be delved into. There are so many nuggets in our country’s founding, such as letters from soldiers and founding fathers, how many times and just how close we were to not winning independence from England, what George Washington really felt about slavery and the list goes on and on.
You will learn many things in a much different way than what was, or is currently, taught in schools. We will discuss sensitive topics such as God, slavery, free-speech and several other topics that aren’t discussed often as it might ruffle feathers or not be politically correct.
If you are looking for a simplistic and watered downed version of everything that helped form the best country in the world, this podcast is not for you. Our founding is an exciting and truly amazing journey, one that needs to be shared with all Americans and we hope you come alongside us during it.
